Animal Crackers: Mon Jul 14

Animal Crackers will continue on July 14th.

Hoping this break will fix our roster problems and we can have a regular roster once again. If we want to down bosses raiders need to be here.

Take this break to become better at your class/spec and focus on future raids.

We will be recruiting new raiders for this raid. If you're interested in raiding please contact me personally. I am looking for certain classes/specs so keep that mind if I turn you down. We raid Wednesday and Monday 6 to 9 PST.

I look forward to raiding with everyone again on the 14th!!!

Honestly I never lost interest in Raiding - whether it was just flying through Normal mode or Heroics. I will try to be more proactive with the heroic fight (researching - watching vids - etc). If i am needed to heal i can do that too. It doesnt bother me in the least to step in as a healer. I am just not as skilled in healing than dps (but i have been practicing healing. Looking forward to getting back into it - i enjoy hanging out and the convos in Mumble.

Here's a big thing we need to work on. We need a healer to be a valid dps on two heal fights. Galakras, Nazgrim, Spoils, etc. I personally do not want to dps as I'm terrible at windwalker dps, but I will if I really have to be. What are your thoughts on this Acalyte and Ardea? Think either of you would be game to really put some time into the theorycrafting and practice into dpsing?

I'm always happy to dps on two heal fights, I have a decent dps set currently, I can start upgrading pieces for my dps set over healing if nessesary. The one thing I have to be honest about is the state of shadow dps, currently single target fights my dps will be much lower than any other class, but I know how to play it, and I have done alot of research on it. Just let me know if you want me to start prioritizing my dps set for upgrades, currently my dps set ilvl is 562ish.

How good is your dps? Practice on it and lets give a try. The bad thing about this upgrading off spec gear. Deje and Ardea try to cap every week and get everything maxed out as much as you can.

After optimizing

After optimizing (un-upgraded) I only pull between 200-300k on dummies, but that's without any raid buffs or flask. I will have to see about hopping in an LFR or OQ raid and testing the waters with buffs on actual mobs.

Also, as far as upgrading goes, I only have to upgrade 2 more pieces for my tank gear, but they're both 0/4 heroic normal pieces so that'll soak up this upcoming week's valor and the following week too. After that I'll be fully upgraded and can start pouring points into my DPS set.

I'm 100% in. As I mentioned before, I might not be here for Wednesday the 16th because my girlfriend and I might be going camping that night for her birthday, but beyond that, I have no conflicting schedule (unless I lose my job) going forward, and can make every raid.

I will be down to raid until the day Warlords hits so long as there's a raid still running. That being said, I'm also hoping to raid with some of y'all in Warlords, as I recently discovered that I likely won't be able to make the late schedule for Elapsed's mythic raid. That's all in the future, though, so who knows?
