I might be 5 mins late for raid tonight. I'm on my way.

We need more sign ups. I would like to run with a 100% Downfall crew tonight. We will be in need of Healers and DPS. Bring your A game for tonight. We will not be extending so there's going to be a lot to clear tonight. Lets be on time so we can start raiding ASAP. I'm looking forward to it!

Instead of just asking officers I want to ask the whole raid. What are your guys opinions of extending the lockout to MSV so we can get more uptime on Elegon and hopefully get to Will? And if not this week maybe next. Thoughts?

My 2c worth.

I feel it is a good idea providing the consensus is that we have the DPS to beat the enrage timer.

Without that even if we execute perfectly on everything we will end up getting wiped.

The catch 22 is that with practice we will improve and maybe the week in between the encounter is hurting us a bit.

If we need more time for gearing, enchants, gems and rotation practice then I am good with proceeding normaly.

While I support extending the lock out in the future, I don't believe we're quite there yet. My core concern is not DPS on the boss; it's DPS during the orb phases. When we miss an orb, it's always by a hair. Getting people just a bit more geared (or even just a bit more valor to upgrade their existing raid gear) could help us overcome that hurdle. Boss kills are a very valuable thing to us right now.

Obviously not every drop will be a boon to the raid as a whole; but each boss on 25 man drops...four pieces? Five? We'd be giving up 16-20 epics for the lockout. Those are potential upgrades. They're also potential disenchant fodder to make upgrades that people could use. We'd also be diminishing our chance at patterns and the trinkets that drop from trash kills. Again, potentially useful things to take into the battle with Elegon and Will.

If the orbs die properly and we have no major mishaps; we can kill Elegon. I'm sure of it. But I feel like it's a bit too early to gamble so much on him. We can have a bit of a sharper edge going into this.
