She does a great job to have feasts for the raid every pull. Don't waste mats. You'll have a chance to eat before pulls. Alprazalam — Sun, 02/10/2013 - 23:31BTW, if raid doesn't fill by the time I get home, I will be going frost. Tried it out in LFR this week and I can do enough single target for it to be viable.
Also, running from rages is a good reason to leave the middle (for range), but the big time that I was having to leave was for courages. We have to get behind them because the shield, but I guess it comes down to moving into position, killing it, then moving BACK to the middle. Don't be DPSing a strength from the side.

So I've been reading a lot
Atar — Fri, 02/08/2013 - 12:15So I've been reading a lot about Will of the Emperor today. I wanted to throw some ideas at you guys.
First off, our ranged need to stay mid. Don't move everywhere. Just sit tight and dps. The only exception would be to mages where they can frost nova when needed.
Second, instead of spliting the raid into groups we split the raid into add priority. Basically it's something like this:
Ranged DPS - Courage, Rage, Strength, Boss
Melee DPS - Courage, Strength, Boss
Maybe sticking 2 melee on boss full time, but it really depends on raid dps (which needs to improve).
Melee can't be running around the whole room trying to dps. They need to be moving as less as possible. With that said the rage adds should not be getting so far into raid. Use of CCs are a must. We need to work on our CC rotation and make a list of who's doing what when, etc. Also, aoe is good, but remember there's only four rages. It might be better to just nuke if you don't have a really powerful aoe.
I really think we can get a Will kill on Monday. It'll be awesome to get back in there. Post your thoughts and lets get our strat right before Monday.

Still keeping the asigned sides for the DPSing but from the middle to go with what you said.. The other is my thought of having a ranged on the boss but close anough to get buff... so another one doesnt have to have to dance around like the tanks.. but I do believe that we need another on the bosses---DPS that is..Either way it is fun "Trying and Dieing"... Thats the new raid name---lol

Mehguy — Fri, 02/08/2013 - 17:45FYI, regardless of whether you have a ranged or melee on the boss to get the stacks to use the Opportunistic Strike ability, they WILL have to be within a certain range to dodge all of the swings the boss does. Meaning if the boss is doing a swing directly at you and you out range it (even barely), you will be too far away from the boss for "dodging" the move for it to count and will automatically drop whatever stacks you have gained towards the OS ability and will have to wait for the next turn. So if you want a ranged to be in there to be able to use OS, they HAVE to be dodging.
So its best that only melee stand in there and dodge like its being done. If you were to put a ranged in there, it would be best to have a hunter in there as they have the mobility to continue dpsing while dodging.

Atar — Fri, 02/08/2013 - 06:53We'll be working on Will of the Emperor on Monday. I'm still looking for a different way for us to handle adds and to get more uptime on the boss. Lets be sure to be ready for some wipes and that everyone keeps a good frame of mind while we learn this fight.
We could be in Heart of Fear on Monday. This could be a very exciting raid!
