So I've talked to some EXR raiders and some fill like taking Saturday night off. I just wanted to see what the rest of you guys feel like. We're already down Kog and Ever. Maybe taking a night off wouldn't be so bad. Here's what I propose...
Take Saturday off and come back Sunday and knock out what we can trying out some hard modes as we go. Get a fill of some of the hard mode content etc etc.
As for my opinion I don't think it's a bad idea. I wouldn't mind going out and hanging with friends or my better half on Saturday night.
I just got a text message around 11:00 PM last night from a very good friend of mine that he can hang out this weekend. He's getting ready to graduate from Law School then off to take the BAR exam. Last weekend was supposed to be his last weekend but I told him I had other committments (EXR Lich King kill), yes, I told one of my closest friends that I couldn't hang out with him because of a video game. He rescheduled things and managed to scrap some time this weekend. I would be the worst person on the planet to tell him I don't have time to hang out with him this last time before he goes off to study to be an attorney.
Regardless of your guys' decisions to raid or not on Saturday I, officially, won't be there Saturday. Whatever choice is made you have my full support. I do apologize for the lateness in this discovery.
We've had a great week. We worked hard and took multiple attempts on Lich King and finally killed him.
Seeing that were missing our almighty Kognus and Grasen. I think now is our best time to take a small break. Whether it be the whole week or just Saturday is fine. This week should be an easy chill week for us, take some attempts at least and see the fight, if we can't do it that's fine don't kill ourselves over it and move on to the next boss.
We need to keep our momentum going but we also need to give our fellow raiders a slight break, give them a relaxing day or two to go out have fun with friends and do what they always wanted to do on Saturday but never could. With that being said, I vote for Saturday off, back in on Sunday, take a couple of attempts on Marrow, see actually how difficult it is, if we can't do it knock it out normal move onto the next boss hard modes.
Next week though, I feel like after we have had our little break, let raiders rest up, we should be knocking and attempt all bosses on Hard Modes. We will have 2 days next week to knock out Marrow + others. With attempting them this week we will have some sort of idea on what needs improving on our strat and what there is to come with the fight for the following week.
Marrowgar is hard, prolly the hardest of the Lower Spire, though Saurfang could be too. Both similar in that with the damage ramp ups, they now require a near perfect execution or things (deaths) fall apart fast.
Here's my exerpt from the strat page of it for you guys:
Heroic Mode Summary:
More damage, more HP obviously.
Coldflame now is more of a targeted flame. Still goes in a straight line, but not set 4 points from Marrowgar. So a bit harder to dodge, during whirlwind at least, you can still stack up to avoid it otherwise.
Bone Spike Graveyards will still occur during Bone Storms. Raid has to switch to kill them asap in all both phases now.
In 10 man, the increased damage forced us to all take up assigned positions in that inner circle. Keeps everyone close together while spread out. Using 5 points, for example N, NE, E, W, NW, or something. A half circle with 2-3 people in each.
For Bone Spikes, they're mostly ranged priority, the melee won't run into dps Bone Spikes, just handle whatever's near by, worry more about them after Bone Storm. Healers keep those up in the meantime, and BoP anyone spiked and bone stormed at the same time. Priority is survival.
I'm really sorry, guys, but I won't be able to make it on Saturday this
week. My attendance will be good going forward, but I have a friend
(one of my few ones out here in LA... I don't know whether you could
tell or not, but I don't get out a whole lot out here) who's birthday
party I absolutely can't miss. I've been putting off a lot of social
commitments recently and I'm supposed to help him set up and stuff.
It's something that I promised to do a while ago and was honestly just
reminded of today. I will be online for Salmon tomorrow night and I
will be online on Sunday for EXR as well if you still want me in there
(I understand if you want to take the person who's locked in my place.
