Aeolyn — Thu, 05/13/2010 - 12:26I was going to say my usual "Achievements are kind of pointless if not everyone shows." But not everyone showing is the rule and not the exception. So we're just going to have to start knocking things out with what we have and go back and redo them for people who miss when the ICC zonewide buff strengthens more. Or people are going to have to start showing up. But deciding not to progress because we're missing a core member or two is really, really not going to treat us well if the trend continues.
The checklist (and I'm going by memory here) looks to be something like this:
*Putricide Hard Mode
*Sindragosa Hard Mode
*Sindragosa "All You Can Eat" achievement
*Valinthria "Portal Jockey" achievement
*Deathwhisper "Full House" achievement
*Lich King "Been Waiting a Long Time For this" achievement
Note: "Neck Deep In Vile" is no longer necessary for the Meta.
The Lich King achievement is going to burn a raid night or two alone. And should probably done on its own lockout after we knock out some of the others.
Sindragosa needs to die twice. One in Hard Mode. And once for All You Can Eat.
We have the capacity to do Putricide in Hard Mode. We proved that when we got him to Hard Mode phase 3 a few weeks back.
Portal Jockey we should (imo) knock out as soon we we get a chance. We -destroy- that fight on Normal.
I propose we work on Frost wing. Take down Portal Jockey. And then play with Sindragosa to see which achievement of her's we need to gun for first.
I know some of us still need Saurfang Hard Mode still down. Is that the one most of us still need? Does anyone still need Once Bitten, Twice Shy for that matter?

saedo — Thu, 05/13/2010 - 12:32As a tibit, we actually got Portal Jockey last week (for the few who didn't get it earlier) while doing hard mode. Well, it wasn't exactly intended though. We normally run 4 healers for it, send 3 in, 1 outside to heal, until things get heavy outside where a healer stays out to help. So, I think what happened was it went well enough that the 2nd healer outside wasn't needed.

She wants to make up for that and go out for dinner on Sunday. Which would make me late for EXR. But i'm also trying to convince them not eat on Sunday so there's a possibility that I will be there for raid. All is undecided as of yet.
For the objectives of EXR. From my understanding that exr was started in order to get people their drakes. So the objective for exr should still be the same for ICC, aim for achievements. Knock out the achievements people need and on the way along knock out some easy Hard Modes for some decent loot.
