Im stuck on nightshift.

My work just called me and said that they are putting me on nigthshift, starting Monday.
It pisses me off more than you can believe after I had long discussions and "arguements" with some of my leadership about wanting to stay on dayshift for various reasons and they put it down, supposedly 'set-in-stone' for the last 2 weeks that I would be on dayshift. But now apparently, the day before it all starts, some people have certain mandatory appointments that they cant miss if they are on the nightshift, so I conveniently got shoved onto the nightshift.
Sorry to have to put you in this spot of not having a tank, but as of now, I cannot help the situation.

Mehguy — Sun, 07/10/2011 - 21:01Im going to talk with them more in depth with the situation tomorrow to see how long I'm going to be on that shift, or if there is anyone who will switch shifts with me.
The only person who I can think of that was going to be on nights that would have these "mandatory appointments" that cant be missed is a guy whose wife is on bed-rest and is near her due date. So I'm wondering if its more that its better for him to be home during the evening/night instead of the morning. If thats the case I'll be a LITTLE more accepting of being put on nights.
But either way, Im gonna find out more tomorrow.

Out of the 2 people they are going to ask, I think 1 MIGHT be willing to, the other Im pretty sure wont.
Right now I would say that it isnt too likely that I will be put back on days, but its still somewhat of a possibility.
Either way Im definitely out tonight and tomorrow for sure. I will hopefully know tomorrow at some point and if I do get switched, I COULD be back on Wednesday. Thats all I have for now.
