So I don't think I'm much able to give the big long lecture like a couple of heroic bosses this time. Mostly on the healers to figure out how to handle the stacks. As for the rest of us, don't spread torment.
Anyways, I do have a question/clarification on CD usages on those first 2 crystals.
So the crystals are essentially up for 25 seconds.
Knoppix's crystal looked like it was worked out. The most powerful CD dispersion saved for the end, had to pain suppression him up to 19ish stacks, as it's only a 6 sec duration.
Mehguy's crystal might need adjustment. He's also going to be using the Shield Wall Glyph next time so the CD will be a 12 second 60% damage reduction (up from 40%).
Enraged Regneration appears to be a 10 second duration.
It appears ideally, Shield Wall should be popped at 13-14 stacks. Enraged Regeneration at 15-16 stacks. That probably gets you the most benefit at the end 25 stacks, rather than popping it early and together.
Now the question is, can Mehguy survive to 13 stacks on his own?
If yes. Perfect. If no. Then probably Hand of Sac has to be used early. Since it's only 30% reduction and only lasts til it absorbs the amount of Elapsed's HP. We would need to somehow time it to bridge the gap between where he's just unhealable to where he can pop Shield Wall.
Maybe Sac at 10 stacks, and let it carry it through?
But, if the answer above is yes, then the best time to use Sac would be towards the end. And since it's like 80K a tick by then, Sac would absorb maybe 2-4 ticks? Maybe pop sac at like 21-22 stacks maybe it'll carry through to the last tick as that's the killer one that hits hardest.
And as a bonus, hoping to set up a system where we don't need to call for it and get lag and be too late and people will die. Work out which stacks we need to pop the CD on, and just do it.
I really wasnt popping the shield wall until 13-14 stacks a few times.
Sometimes it worked out ok, sometimes it was really close to killing me. Mostly I was dying right at 23/24 stacks with sw up. but that was when enraged regen was wearing of, and as elapsed was saying, he was doing stupid stuff, a few of those times.
I also forgot that while I'm fury I have rallying cry, which is my "mini" last stand, would give me an extra health boost and lasts 10-secs. I noticed it on our last attempt but wasnt quite quick enough to hit it. I could set up a macro to pop that, then pop enraged regen, that way I'll have a larger health pool and will be gaining back more health per tick with regen. Ill have to pop that at 16 just to give me that one sec overlap.
I also had an idea for raid positioning but Im not too sure how well it would work. I think it MIGHT make things a little simpler, but could make it more hectic with rng of crystal spawning. Ill work on a pic/layout for it tonight after work and the movie "date" with the wife.
Also, I hope people watched a few vids, but more notably the fatboss guide. See how far spread out people are?? Ranged in general are way too clumped up. I know Elapsed has to be closer in order to judge, but damn people...
I was wondering, for Elapsed. Maybe for this fight, spec into Improved Judgements for that 40 yard judgement? Maybe can take points out of Sacred Cleansing (no cleansing), Light of Dawn (shouldn't need to aoe heal), or maybe Protector of the Innocent (shouldn't need healing on yourself). More range more flexibility for spreading out.
I did the changes already and my hit is still over melee cap (the important one for judgement) and I have the distance. Also I changed my Holy Wrath glyph (just for now) to LoH so its only a 7 min CD to help more with pulls
As far as i remember, you can't do "/in 3 /cast Somespell". Something about not allowying automated commands in macros that can do anything combatwise for you.
Getting rid of Sacred Cleansing, and arguablly 1 point of Elightended Judgmenets, would more than likely solve the range problem.
thats pretty much what I do is just stagger the same button macro, ill just have to make some minor tweeks to it since rallying cry and regen dont share GCD they would pop at the same time, so Id have to stagger it just slightly.
I removed my major glyph for Heroic Throw (which gave me an application of sunder armor for using it). Its really not worth it, as its only worthwhile at the start of a pull because using heroic throw resets my swing timer whis is no-good for me. Its easier to just hit sunder armor when my rotation doesnt proc a free Slam. I can fit it in there, and then my collosus smash will keep the sunders refreshed/applied.
Do you have a debuff tracker? Cause for that fight, I've been seeing Faerie Fire stacked up from our boomkin so you don't have to waste time sundering if you don't have to.
Maybe half the time when you're resto. I've been exposing armor everytime it drops (and or see less than 3 sunders). Figured I shouldn't demand another task of you as you're healing.
And as Kaluu said, the debuffs don't stack. The homoginized this all back in Wrath so diff classes can do the exact same buff/debuff.
Nope, the majority of buffs don't stack anymore. Buffs and debuffs got changed so different classes can bring the same thing, ie Kings and MotW. Most of the time we're just missing windfury (we get it when Fel goes survial [too much of a personal dps loss to warrent]), 10% spell power (no shaman totem or demo lock), and 8% spell damage taken (we get it when you go balance or fel brings out a dragonhawk or wind serpent).

Heroic Baleroc! So I don't

Yea so looks like you do need
saedo — Fri, 11/04/2011 - 11:12Yea so looks like you do need to stagger enraged regen so it doesn't wear off at the end when you most need it.
You can probably still use 1 macro to auto stagger em for you if you have some mod still loading ace libraries.
/cast Shield Wall
/in 2 /cast Rallying Cry
/in 3 /cast Enraged Regeneration
If not, well, 2-3 button it I guess.

After discussing with Kaluu
Elapsed — Fri, 11/04/2011 - 19:12After discussing with Kaluu at some length I found a comprimise for this, I'm at 35 yard judgements

Looks like that's right,
saedo — Fri, 11/04/2011 - 13:35Looks like that's right, can't delay protected functions like /cast. But can do it to cancelaura and emotes and stuff I guess.
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2016271838
But it does give me a diff idea for one button macro.
/castsequence Shield Wall, Rallying Cry, Enraged Regeneration
You'd have hit it manually at the correct stacks, just don't spam the button.
thats pretty much what I do

Either way, shield wall glyph is in.
Do you have a debuff
