@PMS-ers - H Ultraxion

Mehguy — Wed, 03/07/2012 - 20:11

This fight is similar to normal, but with a few twists.

For 2-tank, 2-healer set up, it requires the 6 dps to pull 32k average with 5% debuff. So since we are on 10% debuff its a little less. We should be good. Maybe go 3 heals if its too rough.

Fading Light will hit 3 players instead of 2.  It will also give a debuff that increases dmg taken by 100% so tanks need to taunt immediately to prevent tank death. It also lasts a shorter amount of time (so instead of a chance of it being 9 second cast on you, its probably around 3-5 seconds for all people.

Hour of Twilight has changed. It now requires 2 people to be hit by it instead of just 1. So if only 1 person gets hit by it, he gets pissed like normal and wipes the raid. AND it once you are hit by hour of twilight, you get a debuff which increases the damage you take from Hour of Twilight by an insane amount.  Which means once you soak one, you have to skip 2 hour of twilights. SO we will have to assign 6 people into 3 different groups. My group recommendations are as follows

Grp 1 - Mehguy/Foresight

Grp 2 - Saedo/Feld

Grp 3 - Kaluu/Aeolyn

The rotation/CDs should go as follows

1 Hour - Grp1 Mehguy - use Shield Wall, Rallying Cry, also intervene Foresight.  Foresight does nothing

2 Hour - Grp 2 Saedo use cloak, Feld uses Deterrence

3 Hour - Grp 3 Kaluu uses his CDs/Aeolynn Deterrence.

4 Hour - Grp 1 Mehguy uses Shield Wall, Foresight Iceblock

5 Hour - Grp 2 Saedo use cloak/evasion, Feld uses Deterrence

6 Hour - Grp 3 Kaluu uses his CDs/Aeolynn Deterrence.

7 Hour - Grp 1 Mehguy - use Shield Wall, Rallying Cry, also intervene Foresight.  Foresight does nothing

I have it broken up this way so Foresight saves his iceblock for a more critical time in the fight when dmg will be higher, so just in case he isnt at full health on our 2nd soak, his iceblock will negate all the dmg anyways. If he iceblocks first, I have no guarantee that my Shield Wall, Rally Cry and intervene will keep him alive if by chance hes not at full on our grps 2nd hour of twilight soak.  Plus he SHOULD be dead by the time we reach 7.  If not, we have issues.

Also, Saedo popping evasion later in the fight will allow him to hopefully avoid/tank ultraxion in-case either kaluu or i arent able to phase back in quick enough and he doesnt die due to melee.

Kaluu and I will still tank and deal with taunting the fading lights like normal, its just we need 3 grps and rotation set up with proper def. cds to survive the Hour of Twilights.

Any questions/concerns/comments?

@PMS-ers - H Hagara

Mehguy — Wed, 03/07/2012 - 19:37

Behold my almighty awesome mspaint pics for H Hagara

For Frost, I have a couple of ideas, but this is generally how it looks just starting out.

We pretty much know how this works as an ice phase. Its just a matter of what works for us. It appears that getting set up in the beginning of it is causing the issue of too much dmg we constantly lose people getting the ranged into the middle of the bubble.  I have an idea to utilize the bubble, but also minimize our running all together.

I dont have an image for this, but its not really needed.  I suggest we just stay on a crystal the whole time (melee and ranged) until its dead.  In order to do this we stack/spread near the bubble, and when someone needs to be dispelled, they jump into the bubble, get dispelled, get back out. Also when a wave comes just jump in the bubble, let it pass and jump back out.  I think this could potentially allow more dmg on a crystal at one time (especially for melee). I notice once we get to the 4th crystal the melee are typically just having to run by it instead of spending ANY time dpsing it so we have loss of dmg there.  Another change to this could be just have the range stand JUST inside the bubble (ala the first time fuck-up when we werent sure what we were doing) that way itll be less time to set up, healers should be able to handle it better initially. And then Melee will be the only ones having to worry about jumping in and out of the bubble (like we normally would when a wave passes or getting the debuff). Then when the crystal is down the ranged jump out of the bubble and run with us at max speed (hopefully) to the 2nd crystal, kill it same way, then 3rd crystal etc.... food for thought.

Now for lightning phase.

Black dots represent the lightning pillars

When its lightning phase, instead of grouping up all on triangle, razi and ora should be max range healing the melee near hagara, foresight/feld and aeolyn max range dps-ing the elemental add in locations on this drawing as those will be your sides.  Moon should be near the pillar that she needs to help break. This is to help allow minimal movement for her so she can focus a little more on healing initially.  (Yes, taco i realize I have you in a range spot on here, when i made this for some reason I kept thinking you were elemental).

NEXT

This outlines your lightning pillar responsibility.  At 15% health of the mob, the ranged classes and Taco should immediately book-it to their assignment next to X and Diamond. When the mob dies, Saedo, myself, Kaluu and Moon will break the pillars up to and including X and Diamond.

NEXT

When the X and Diamond pillars are destroyed, the first 2 break-groups (Saedo, Myself, Kaluu and Moon) collapse to the middle so we stop getting hit with chain lightning from the pillars. If we stack in the middle next to Hagara we wont be hit by it and we will just have to avoid the aoe circles she puts on the ground.

This is where the 2nd set of breakers (Foresight, Feld, Aeolyn and Taco) need to be in place.  If positioned correctly you should hopefully be able to break your first pillars almost immediately, and whichever side gets to square first, get to it.  I know diamond side for some reason was having issues suriviving, and also feld kept running with me and Saedo, so hopefully this helps clear it up a bit.

There is another strat that we MAY have to default to. It involves only the melee breaking the pillars and all the ranged stacking in the middle.  This tactic just requires myself/saedo doing the entire left side, and kaluu/taco doing the entire right side. The issue with this, is that this tactic is slower than the method weve been trying because we wont have people already set up in place to break the "2nd set" of pillars. And by it taking longer, means we will be taking more damage while trying to break the later pillars. BUT it will be 4 people the healers need to focus directly on, instead of 8(technically).  Plus there will be more people in the middle through the whole thing, which means more of the ground-circles will be placed on-top of or near healers so they may have to move more than they should have to.
