We still running Monday? Usually it's up under the events tab.
I don't really know what happened to us Wednesday night but I'm hoping that after a few days to chill we can pick it back up strong.
Nobody has been saying anything and I hate to butt into a situation that I don't know much about; but I will say this. I'm damned proud of what we've accomplished together thus far. We started out in MoP getting our asses handed to us by the first encounter in Vaults. Then we got curbstomped by the troll dude. And then Elegon was an unbeatable brick wall for a couple nights.
We kick their faces in now. And we do that because we worked together, shared ideas, figured out the whys and hows of the encounters that were giving us crap, helped each other with specs and reforging and shit. And it's helped a lot.
Please for the love of god let us not allow bickering or antisocial behavior get in the way of that. We're going to fail. We're going to be disorganized sometimes. We're going to struggle with some fights due to composition. We're going to have people drop the ball by having their net connection dip when they need to do something important or pop an important cd incorrectly or run off a cliff or whatever. That's part of playing a game with other people. And it's not the end of the world. We've proved we can overcome through trial and error.
I know wiping to the mantid dude in HoF is discouraging. I know the adds in Will and how to handle them is something we don't have a clean plan of attack for. But we've proven capable of bouncing back from setbacks.
I know this probably comes off as preachy and dumb. I write this because I genuinely enjoy being in Mumble and taking on the world (of warcraft) with you guys. There seriously isn't anyone else I'd rather be doing this with. I'd really hate to see us dissolve because of miscommunication and flared tempers. We're here to have fun and all. And the best way to have fun is together.
Don't worry, we're not dissolving. I know a few of us had our "Oh shit... here we go" thoughts when some of the bickering took place. Know that I, and I'm sure Foresight as well, have discussed the matter with people, and the 3 of them have discussed it amongs themselves as well. What we heard Wednesday is nothing compared to what it can sound like between the 3 of them in RL situations. And in general, it was an overall miscommunication between how things 'sounded' and were actually meant that night, and obviously, some things were blown way out of proportion.
Regardless, I suggested trying to keep some of the RL attitudes, etc, out of raid, and I don't foresee it to be a problem going forward. I'm sure we'll still have some bickering, and raging from time to time. God knows I'll rage again at some point. Right now as a raid some of us are probably still trying to get the feel for it again after being off for so long, albeit Deathwing or longer, so its just feeling some things out again.
Everyone needs to keep a cool head, lets have some FUN. Not the sarcastic fun that was said the other night. I do enjoy raiding with everyone in the raid as well, and hope to continue doing so until next Sept. (For those that don't know yet, I will be deploying at that time for a few months).
Also, lets not change strats from what works into something that was tried and doesnt work. Somehow we went from MD-ing the adds to Craeg last week (didnt work) to Aeolyn's pet tanking (works!) BACK to having Craeg tank again (and didnt work well). Lets not keep changing strats from week to week. We did that shit a lot during DS and it got on my nerves. Keep what works and stick with it. If its sloppy, its slopping, fuck it, it works, beat the boss and move on. Eventually when Craeg switches to his Shaman for raiding, we won't have his DK anymore, so we shouldnt rely on it now if it'll end up biting us in the ass later.
It was also suggested that we start looking at heroics in another week or 2. I can see that. Were still a little undergeared to clear HoF, but we should still be able to do the first 1-2 bosses there (especially after the silent nerf). So with 2 more normal MSV clears and maybe a few kills in HoF, we can focus on some Heroics and make progressively harder pushes in HoF and TOES. But remember, MSV is the priority currently. Once we have cleared MSV for the week, THEN we we will fuck around with HoF or potentially TOES.
Yea, I saw the events weren't up last night as well, but I'm a nub and havent figured out how to post that correctly.
3 friends who are more like brothers getting into a fight over stupid shit. We've been friends for years now and with friendships that long, between people who don't have personalities that are always condusive to friendships, well there tends to be a bit of stupid anger from time to time.
Anywho.... I made the raid events (was just being lazy) and Monday will be back to business
