stuck in san fran currently. im a half hour away from home and most likely wont make this. Traffic lightens up around 730 so at that time ill head home and hopefully make it. I'm really really sorry.

To people who need yogg 1 light for mounts: I am absolutely determined to get you guys your mounts. If Derch doesn't get it tonight, I'd buy him a time card if he's willing to let someone he trusts play his toon. Every one of you guys deserves the mount and I'll be there (hopefully tonight as well) and do my best.

I'm in agreement with PD here. If it doesn't happen tonite - if Yogg+1 isn't downed tonite - I will continue to keep at it to make sure everyone gets their mount they deserve, including Derch.

I've been nursing a bad cold the past few days and today it decided to kick me in the ass. If I'm not on to lead the raid, you know why I'm not there.

That said, I do plan to be there for this next week.

Other officers in attendance please, take care of Yogg tonite and get people started on Algalon. I can open the door as I am just a phonecall away; I'd just rather not have to do much more than that tonite.

Poker Face Missing in Action

Rescue Toaster — Fri, 01/22/2010 - 13:27

Some of you may know that I am heading up to Portland to visit Garreth this weekend. Along the way I'll be stopping at Gares and Boann's place so I'll be out of action. I'm the healer that goes into the brain room during P2 of Yogg Saron. You'll need to find a strong healer/cleanser to take that spot. I'd recommend someone who has experience or if all else this order:

Priest

Paladin

Shaman/Druid

Some helpful advice healing in the brain room:

1. Don't expect people to NOT get pwned in the face by the floating skulls. While you can do nothing about the loss of sanity they must be kept alive as long as they are your teammates.

2. Rogues, Enhance Shamans, and Feral Druids need extra attention. I believe the tentacles do feedback damage and those classes tend to get hit super hard. If all those classes are in one group, you should follow them around since the other side will most likely be able to survive on their own. But this isn't assured so play based on your teammates.

DREAMS

1. Stormwind - This is the easiest to heal. Stand in the middle and go to town.

2. Icecrown - This is quite challenging for healers. The pillars can easily LoS and if you're running down the center, looking at the people will cause you to also face the skulls. Simply rotate your camera while facing straight down the center and throw off heals as needed. If you're one of those drivers who steers left when looking left, then you're going to have some rough times.

3. Wyrmrest Temple - This one is awful. The only feasible tactic I've mustered was to run through the center ASAP (you cannot heal from the center unless you stand on the ledges) and after reaching the otherside face the wall and heal the horribly damaged dpsers as they approach. Sometiemes I've had to run towards a group that was badly hurt; worse times I've had to straffe to a side, while running through the middle, and perch on the ledge to heal.

Tips for Disc Healers in Brain room:

1. Prayer of Mending is going to be a life saver. Cast it on a known high damage taking class like a rogue.

2. If you are in a group with melee dps and your group is taking massive damage, target yourself and cast Prayer of Healing. You can defeat LoS issues with this (omg, this is why Toaster specs into Holy Reach).

3. Cast PW:S on the players who are very good at avoiding skulls. This will let you focus on the players who take more damage and such.
