Gems and enchants are needed. yes. but dont fool yourself (this is not directed at atar its to everyone) that this stuff will make you better.

YOU NEED TO LEARN YOUR CLASS AND GET BETTER.

I will start pointing shit out more and more. One person is not going to slip by and play horrible. I need everyone learning and practicing other than raid days.

Do some pvp and get 660 shit its not hard.. if we are going to stress being the best then do it.

I am not in the mood to sugar coat anything. Now is the time to do this shit.

I agree with Pain 100% Being alive on the entire fight + knowing your rotations = much better than having the most expensive enchants/gems

So if you're that one person that keeps dying on almost every boss fights, take a moment to check yourself on how to stay alive in every encounter while doing decent dps. It really boils me down especially if there are other people who are on mechanics are doing better than those who are basically on boss the entire time.

yeah, by 0.72% but the gems cost about 2000g each, so I made the decision to wait. I wasn't being careless, I was just being logical about it. I did fix the enchant on the ring.

The logical choice is to have the best enchants/gems you can have. Here's another thing. What stat should you be going for? I see multistrike enchants, a mastery enchant, versatility gems, and a multistrike gem. This is all over the place. You shouldn't be gemming/enchanting shit with whatever. Pick the best stat for your spec and go with it.

The versatiliy is in my top 2 stats, multistrike and versatily. So I used what I had. I also use some of the gear when I tank, and it overlaps, so Mastery is my best stat when i'm in blood, and helps frost as well. I can't change gems and enchants as frequently as i change specs. So if it's gear that is going to say in my DPS set i'll enchant/gem is accordingly, but the offstats on the gear that's dropping is not idea to begin with.

I've been continually reading up on my class and changing from Frost to Unholy when it was better and back again. I gemmed some of that gear when I was in Unholy, but didn't change it because it was 640 gear.
I was also all over the place because I'm still adjusting to the new system, we used to balance the secondary stats with soft caps. I haven't learned what those are if any.
Out of 6 stats on my priority list do I only focus on Strength and Multistrike and ignore everything that's not?
When you have a stat priority of 6 stats, and a piece drops with #2 and #5, and a piece drops with #3 and #4, which is your best in slot?

If 0.3 of a percent is that big of a deal then i'll do something about it, but I don't think 99.7% optimized is worth spending thousands of gold to change.

My suspicion is that he's trying to balance between single target (where multistrike is his best stat) and multitarget (where mastery is his best stat...I believe).
However, I don't know why there are versatility gems.

Even if you're waiting due to costs (although I'd _happily_ spot you the 4k for good gems), you should pick up the appropriate fixes for the versatility gems.

Thank you for that. I appreicate you trying to understand. From what I've read it's also about wether i'm using a 2h or dual wield as much as single vs multi. So I guess I didn't learn the nuances of WoD yet. I know in MoP i was reforging into many stats not all into mastery, or all into parry.
