So when do we start replacing
Insta — Sat, 01/10/2015 - 20:49So when do we start replacing underperforming raiders? I know we're doing Mythic now, but we have a few who aren't doing the numbers that they're supposed to. I want to get Hyntarded in because he's doing great as a Hunter. I don't care if a raider's been raiding with us for x amount of weeks, but if they've been constantly underperforming then as a raid group we need to replace them. If you look at Koragh logs, he did 21k dps and outdpsed some of our regular raiders. I thought we're we can bench people who are underperforming? I'm just getting sick and tired of having a few people dead whenever we kill a boss. Not to mention Mythic Kargath where we had TWO DPS dead before the 3min mark. If those two raiders would've stayed alive we would've had a faster kill.
I just want to get these issues addressed because I want a 20 man group to kill Heroic Margok and to have a stable Mythic group overall. If these same people keep dying and underperforming and not being responsible raiders, then how are we going to progress in Mythic?
I mean for god's sake some people are still wearing 630 blues. Why can't they do some Arenas and replace those with 660's or even do LFR and replace it with 640's? I just don't get it.

Atar — Mon, 01/12/2015 - 10:03There's a better way than just cutting people. Burning bridges is not the route I want to take. I know we want to kill bosses, but we really don't have people knocking on our door to raid. We may have one or two people willing to come in, but other than that we need every single person involved.
Please don't go out demanding I want X player in. That's not the way to do it. Come talk to me personally or the people in question and lets discuss options we have. If we had 50 people ready to go for this raid that's one thing, but we barely have enough to fill a 20man some nights.
Here's what I'd like to propose for our next raid week starting Wednesday. Lets run Heroic like we normally do and get everyone in that we can. Keep the gear flowing to pass gear around to our under geared raiders and keep filling those gaps that we have. When Mythic comes around after we've cleared 7/7 or 6/7 Heroic then we pick who we need on a fight by fight basis. People will have to sit. Sitting is better than replacement. If sitting pisses you off then earn your spot during Heroic so you can get into Mythic.
When we started this raid I was excited to have Trazi helping me make these decisions and now he's gone so I know everyone looks to me to make a call. By doing what I posted above I think that makes it very clear as to what everyone needs to do. Perform and you get invited to Mythic.

Painhax — Sat, 01/10/2015 - 22:13I agree with all of this.. and while I love the friendships Ive made the people in question need to get on the ball.. and if we do end up replacing someone.. i promise you it is not personal because I love the way we mesh.. we just need better performance and personal responsibility.

manleychaps — Sun, 01/11/2015 - 13:17I wholeheartedly agree with this. i am also very aware that i am one of the people that should be on the short list for being replaced. my DPS and gear are both fine but I need to work on my raid awareness and stop taking bad deaths. we all have our strengths and weaknesses in the raid some more than others we all need to take a look at where we are falling short and do whatever we can 2 upper our game. i know for myself if there is a possible threat of being removed it makes me focus a lot harder on my game play. lately i've noticed I am just going through the motions and not focusing like I should because I just feel too safe. On a different note is anyone needs any black smirh/inscription cool down things made I will do it for free

One thing I've noticed in many videos is that groups are backing away from the boss before a shield charge, seems to give a bit more perspective and leads to less charge hits. I know I'm guilty of taking too many of these, and I think there are others too.
Finally, I need to stress the importance of being on and ready to go at 8:45pm. Last night we were trying to fill raid and had some questionable dps spots to fill. In the end, we filled with raiders ready to go on time. If you want to be one of those raiders, be on time.

We were getting the hang of the fight really well. I'm really glad we did some test pulls and got used to the fire strat. I think it really helped. Like I said last night though the main thing is personal responsibility. Take care of yourself over dps. The fight isn't really that bad when you think about it. We're stacked the whole time unless you get the debuff or we have pulverize.
We can be 2/7 Mythic Monday night if we play smart.
Once we kill Mythic Twins I'd like for us to go back to Margok. Getting a heroic kill him would be great for the gear. Lets make it happen guys.
