Meh it's pretty easy for
latro — Fri, 09/20/2013 - 12:48Meh it's pretty easy for hackers to grab peoples info in various ways. Especially if your young,or lazy. Heres an actual youtube video of someone stealing a kids wow account through a e-mail link.Pretty funny reaction.

Mobile Authenticator Users Please do this!

I know it's only pertaining to the iPhone but everyone should have their serial stored somewhere incase anything happens. I don't want to hear about someone not taking the steps to protect themselves.
Personally, I sent my serial and restore code, to myself as an email and then archived the email for any future use.
Also the SMS protect feature can save you tons of time if you loose your phone or break it for any reason and have to resort back to a non-smart phone.
Every Raider with Mobile Auth get this done before raid if you haven't already
I can only report for myself,
Scaron — Wed, 09/18/2013 - 16:24I can only report for myself, but my auth didn't reset with my OS upgrade. Still take precautions...better safe than sorry.
i personly don't have the
Ghli — Tue, 09/17/2013 - 17:36i personly don't have the serial number or restore code written down in electronic form. it's written on a scrap peice of paper, and tacked to the wall behind my monitor.
I have to agree with Ghli on
Scaron — Wed, 09/18/2013 - 10:50I have to agree with Ghli on this one. You've got to be careful with sending yourself sensitive info like serial and restore codes as these things could enable a hacker to gain access to your account (especially if you're being uber un-secure and using the same login and pw combo as you use to log into WoW.)
a hacker would have to be
Elapsed — Wed, 09/18/2013 - 13:19a hacker would have to be fairly deticated to think you stored that particular piece of info in an archieved email. I personally don't subscribe to over suspicious amounts of security. but if that what people prefer then thats fine, as long as it's backed up somewhere
Not particularly if you use
Scaron — Wed, 09/18/2013 - 14:53Not particularly if you use gmail. Quick search for "authenticator" "restore code" "WoW" or whatever one might put in the subject or body to find said email again and he/she is in. Moreover, hackers are pretty dedicated folks...it's their livelihood at stake--if you think that once they've got your email password it'll take long before they manage to get ahold of your authenticator restore code / serial #, you're sorely mistaken.
There's no way this is OVERLY suspiscious.
I was going to give my brain
Elapsed — Wed, 09/18/2013 - 17:01I was going to give my brain time to catch up and post a pro and cons debate over digital security in the modern age, but to be perfectly honest this last week has been taxing to the debate area of my intellect so I will counter you with this. (of course just to joke)
