I seem to have forgotten to update my credit card info for WoW so I currently have no subscription. This means I probably will not be playing tonight. I will see what I can do in the next few mins.
Last Tuesday we ripped through ICC quickly and efficiently--everyone was flasked, buffed, fed, eager, knew what they needed to down bosses and executed wonderfully. It was great. I asked some random raiders how they felt as us RO's took a greater stance on keeping looting fast, keeping Vent clear, and tightening down on raid performance: overall we were much more serious about this game.
The consensus was that raiders enjoyed raid better. Even with the increase in strictness towards everyone's performance it would seem that because this removed all the "stupid shit" from happening that delays our progression raiders were strangely more relaxed and able to enjoy thinigs much better.
I feel this is a great step forward. I want this kind of showmanship to continue and as thus I will be talking with the other Salmon RO's about keeping up this kind of regiment. Now. The rest of the week (last week) we saw a decline in performance. Not because we were on new content and had to learn but it was observed that us RO's laxed in our duties to keep things running at optimum efficiency. People got really chatty in Vent, people started pointing fingers at others since we were wiping a lot, and every one of us were sloppy with the easy things: buffs, food, flasks, etc.
Just keep in mind that because we're planning on getting to those bosses we need to learn faster that we will be spending more time wiping and dealing with things that will frustrate and fatigue us. This is why we need to keep our vigil and resolve to do our best at all times. Things will be more fun if we're ready and willing to push ourselves through the easier content and spend as much time now learning the hard stuff.
I know I've been pressuring you all to try harder and to discpline yourselves more but that's because I feel Salmon has very strong and capable players who work well together. You all have the capacity to do great things and have fun doing it, and my goal as a RO is to get to and maintain that hard to reach balance between hard work and fun. Not just for me bur for as many raiders as I can.
We will do great things and we will have fun doing it!
