i notice that even the range
shroom — Thu, 09/16/2010 - 08:42i notice that even the range get damage spikes at the same times though in lesser amounts, it was my understanding that the AoE explosion when they reach their target was a limited area, 10 yards or something, is that not true? Also i dont have a melee toon but i have been told that people often tunnel in on their target in melee and thats something that should be readily fixable. I know someone was calling out Shades during the run, but is there maybe some way to get a raid warning type announcement also, just an added blast of noise and visual to help get people attentions? DBM Warns me if im the target of a Shade, but not if the person right next to me is, and that would be useful. I know its no bodies job but your own to look out for your survival, but any little thing that helps a person also helps the raid.
Way to be the lowest on the chart though Atar :), although im not sure if the shades target cats or not. I hear they have a soft spot and when you all start purring it melts their hearts.

Threerick — Thu, 09/16/2010 - 10:34The link that Atar has posted is just damage taken from Vengeful blast. Whether it be you procing it by not moving away fast enough from your ghost or it be someone next to you that didn't move and got a ghost exploding on you. That's just the damage taken.
The list Scaron has posted is who didn't run fast enough from their ghosts and got hit by the ghosts melee which caused the ghost to cause the Vengeful Blast.

I went to ALL Deathwhisper fights and did a Log Query to show events where Hit occurred and Vengeful Shade is the source. This allowed me to see who was at the scene of the crime when a ghost blew. Here's what I found for our Hard-mode attempts at deathwhisper (first number is first attempt, second is second attempt, etc):

Scaron — Thu, 09/16/2010 - 09:25Yeah, malto, you did a pretty good job at avoiding ghosts. I'd say 2 hits in 3 attempts makes us pretty passable...it's when we start having 4 or 5 per attempt things are somewhat amiss.

As for my hits, if i remember correctly, i was dead from an add smacking me in the face halfway through the second phase of the second fight, so i didnt get hit by shades, but because i was dead. Anyone else seeing Zero's should ask themselves wether or not they lived the entire second phase too. Numbers are pretty if they say what we want, but we gotta be honest with ourselves to improve.
We'll see if I can make it.
