Guild Meet-Up 2010 Committee
Saja — Sat, 11/21/2009 - 00:37
Hi All,
I want to start planning guild meet up 2010. After thinking about it a lot, I think having it in Portland again might be the best idea. But I want to talk about it.
I'd like to schedule a vent meeting for those interested in planning after Thanksgiving.
I have a few ideas for helping people from far away get here. So if you would like to take part in the committee please leave a comment and/or email me dalene.schafer@gmail.com
My reason for here is: the largest concenration of guildies live here, and the free lodging can save us a ton of money.
So please bring your ideas and everything else if you would like to have a say, and we will plan when to have this committee meeting.

WoW PhD Dissertation

Just thought I'd share this website with you. http://www.cjritter.com/
My brother is in grad school right now at WSU and one of his colleagues is finishing up his PhD in rhetoric. He wrote/is writing his dissertation on Racism in World of Warcraft. I thought some of you might take interest.
The academia behind WoW is really facinating to me. My brother is taking a "videogames as literature" class and had to play wow to at least lvl 10 last weekend and then write about his experiences.
Please no flaming.
