Why should we recruit you?:
Because I am actually a decent human being despite what some people think about me and I do bring a fun and interesting point of view to convesations. I am also a very good PVP'er as others have mentioned. I used to be quite good at PVE as well and still consider myself good, just a bit undergeared - using mostly PVP gear because it beats the heroic blues. And I am hoping to raid sometime in the near future.
What do you expect to get out of Downfall membership?:
The perks from leveling obviously, but also a community that I can talk with and actually hold a decent conversation with unlike trade chat. Also a guild that if I choose to raid with in the future will be there and have people that are knowledgable in that field because I have yet to see the newest content.
If there is anything else I may have overlooked please let me know and I will respond when I can.

Onrique — Mon, 02/14/2011 - 15:55Here, at Downfall, we take the application process very seriously. We want to make sure that we are getting the best possible player, person and guild member we can.
I want your personality to shine through your application. This is a game, so we can't take it too seriously, however we do have a serious element to it (obviously we have you fill out an app). I feel like your personality comes through well, which is what I look for in an app. I do not want to play with a bunch of bland, boring types who take the game more seriously than it should be taken.
My experience with Demsy has been a positive one. I ran some rated BG's with him and I can say that he is highly skilled, and very easy-going on vent. Some of the language in vent might need to be toned down, but overall I felt like he was a decent dude.
I do not want an applicant turned away because of something that happened years ago. People change, grow-up, learn from mistakes and improve. I see this as such, so I should hope others here do as well. If an expirience with Demsy (or any app) has been so negative that it warrants your input on their application, please elaborate. Dangly left in a very negative way, and we gave him a chance. He turned out to be one of the classiest guys Ive raided with.
Lastly, I will say that I do not want to let someone into guild if a large majority of the people have a difficult time with that person. Is it a personal thing? No. I am sorry, Demsy, but your odds do not look good right now because of this.
Here's the point without all the words: Try to give each applicant, that takes the time to fill an application out, an honest and fresh perspective. If you just can't let something go, that's fine. If you want to chat him up about it in-game, please do.

Jablome — Mon, 02/14/2011 - 15:42I cannot speak from past experiences in other expansions and the like with demsy.. I will say demsy has been an extremely positive addition to my RBG squad. He is very experienced and skilled mage who is quick to follow directions. He has also been a hilarious teammate to have in vent. This is of course all purely from my experience with him thus far.

My thoughts, NO. Just like Nobo said but add a little bit of Kolt. Demsy was CONSTANTLY trolling in trade chat. I ran a 10 man group with him and kept up dmg wise (Back on my DK). We talked had a good time. I thought hey this guy might be cool. As soon as we were done, I was a thing of the past. He was way too "good" to know who I was. Super fucking annoying on vent. Acted like a 5 year old child.
Downfall does not want him, or his skills. Regardless how good a player is, he does not pass the rule of 3 test for the officers in my book. At all.

Put yourself in our position. The last interaction that some of us had with you was a shitty one. We were unimpressed with your personality or lack thereof for whatever reason. If you want to convince us that you're different, tell us what's changed. If you can do that, I'll be favorable and support you in spite of others comments, but if you revert to the old, tired argument that "I'm different than I used to be, trust me." You'll probably be rejected membership, just as many before have been.
On the other hand, if you can display that you're not a douche, then I've got your back. But please, PLEASE, don't ask me to just distrust people's opinions that I've been playing with for 3 years now because some random mage tells me not to.

The app process isn't to rag on you or your character. It's a review of your character and past experiences and see how you hold up under scrutiny.

he was a strong player generally knew his class. more often than not knew what to do in fights or could at least adapt. and generally did his assigned tasks for any given fight.
he always had attitude issues back in the day when i raided with him, he did decent damage but nothing jaw dropping. his ego would, more than likely, far surpass anything ive seen in the downfall image in its history. but he was always to the point where he was just obnoxious. if something was wrong and he did it he'd blow it off but highlight when other people messed up. if memory serves i think he was the type of player who didn't take the time to grind out all the reps he could cause it was "trivial" in upgrades. such as enchants or the like.
im not so sure on this one. things may have changed its been 2 years since i've raided with him.

His attention to detail and his awareness are very developed and he knows how to follow directions. I'm sure if he decided to join us in raids he would be a valuable asset to our guild as a raider as well. He's also a very nice guy, in addition to all of his abilities :).
