Check out the way this Frost DK handles all the adds. He throws down Death & Decay to tag them all and then kites 'em around the upper balcony until they despawn. His being somewhat close and running ahead of them (rather than being on the opposite side of the room, like we were doing) keeps them in check much better. I can replicate this with Explosive Trap, Multi-shot, and (perhaps) Barrage.

This has the added advantage of me having threat on the adds rather than Elapsed; so they won't follow him into his Harsh Lesson and blow him up.

When I get ported Foresight can grab 'em up with Blizzard or something and do the same thing. This should be much, much lower risk to Elapsed especially.
