Downfall and Friends Take Orgrimmar/Undercity/Silvermoon/Thunderbluff
Jobs — Mon, 10/06/2008 - 23:28
At 7:25 PM server time, our raid entered the top Horde capital, Orgrimmar. Four minutes is all it took for Thrall, leader of Orgrimmar, to fall. After this triumph over the Horde, Downfall, aided by a grp of elite Alliance guilds, crept thru the filth of the sewers deep within the Undead capital. Quickly arriving within the chambers of Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, obtaining reign throughout the city, Downfall and Allies celebrated a well earned victory.
With the two most important Horde capitals destroyed, other downfall members, along with additional elite alliance, formed groups to further the destruction within Horde territory.
---I don't wish to include any ignorance towards the rest of the mayhem that took place during the evening, but I must admit...
This night will be hard to forget as we all witnessed a total anarchy within multiple Horde capitals. To my guild, Downfall worked well tonight. Thank you leaders and friends.
With the footage I obtained tonight, I hope that something is created which is worthy of the performance of our guild.
Contact me in game for footage copies. (172 GB uncompressed [1280x1024] footage avail. @ 30fps)

Nice job guys. I was a bit
Ewiges — Tue, 10/07/2008 - 01:41Nice job guys. I was a bit busy entertaining guests. I did manage to log in for about 45 seconds and witness guild chat when Lady whatever in UC was killed. Congrats all around. I know Serenity is planning another round trip come 3.0 for the title, I'm sure it will be organized likely.
Serenity does plan another
Georgepatton — Mon, 10/13/2008 - 09:04Serenity does plan another event like this one, although it will primarily focused on killing bosses for the bear mount. But, if our reports are correct, killing city bosses nets us 1k honor each person.
We're looking forward to working with Downfall in the future, both in a combined guild city raid and in Winterspring, if you guys are interested. Dominating Winterspring is part of securing access to an important raid instance. Combined efforts between the biggest PVP guild and PVE guild together would result in a powerful force.

You mean Wintergrasp
saedo — Mon, 10/13/2008 - 11:48You mean Wintergrasp right?

Dateline, Orgrimmar:
Alliance legislators today enacted a sweeping response to the crisis affecting the Horde financial sector. The plan involved the seizure of failing Horde banking and auction house firms on an unprecedented scale, which was carried out this evening in Horde metropolitan areas worldwide.
"Unfortunately, we were unable to minimize customer inconvenience while taking over operations," stated Domainreaper, who took part in carrying out the seizure of the Orgrimmar Auction House. "When the auctioneers refused to comply with regulators, we had to use force and repeatedly fireball them to death. We also had to put down a hastily-assembled libertarian militia that wanted to stop this bailout plan from happening." Similar incidents took place simultaneously at the banks and auction houses in Thunder Bluff, Undercity, and Silvermoon, though eyewitnesses reported less vigilante intervention from horde citizens in the other cities when the recalcitrant financial sector workers were put down.
In addition to the seizure of Horde financial firms, the Alliance legislature passed provisions placing a cap on compensation to horde executives. One representative from Downfall explained the move earlier in the day: "We really didn't want to be in a position where we were bailing out the very same Valley of Wisdom fatcats whose greed and irresponsibility got us into this economic mess to begin with. So, we've decided to place a cap on not only their salaries, but their lifespans too - that's right, we're killing every last one of the bastards tonight!" The representative, who spoke on condition of anonymity, then proceeded to don the Twin Warglaives of Azzinoth and a suit of combat armor before mounting up on a huge bear and setting off for Kalimdor.
Called on to explain why the Orgrimmar bank collapsed last month, Warchief Thrall began with a note of humility, saying he felt "horrible" over the demise of the 4-year-old institution. "I want to be very clear," Thrall said. "I take full responsibility for the decisions I made and for the actions I took."
In a brief speech which was heard in silence, Thrall told reporters that if he could turn back the clock he would do many things differently. As soon as he finished speaking, sparks began to fly.
Approximately eighty alliance regulators burst through the doors of Grom'mash hold. One held up a chart suggesting that Thrall's personal remuneration totalled 480 million gold over eight years, including payouts of 91 million four years ago and 89 million last year.
"Your faction is now bankrupt and our world is in a state of crisis," said Aznbirdflu, a warlock from Southshore. "You get to keep 480 million gold. I have a very basic question: Is that fair?"
After a long pause, Thrall said the figure was exaggerated: "The majority of my compensation, sir, came in Badges of Justice. The vast majority of the badges I got I still owned at the point of our bankruptcy."
Unsatisfied with the response, the Downfall contingent proceeded to murder Thrall while Serenity and other regulators blocked off the entrance to the vaunted Horde fortress. With the grim business concluded, other contingents of regulators proceeded to enact similar compensation caps on other Horde executives.
Speaking afterwards, senator Georgepatton gave his opinion on the bailout. "I'm a lifelong fan of the free market and economic deregulation, so I would definitely oppose implementing this solution in Alliance nations. In fact, this seizure is likely to leave deep financial scars in Horde jurisdictions for years to come, and will disincentivize Horde entrepreneurs from taking on the risk of executive positions." The grizzled campaigner continued: "As terrible a solution as this is to the Horde financial sector and its leadership, I do support it because the negative effects will only be felt by hunchbacked foreigners! Surprise cock@@!s!"
Made me lol :)

saedo — Mon, 10/06/2008 - 23:47The "distraction" group that went to Thunder Bluff with only 15 people actually killed Cairne.
After Sylvanas was taken out, we went to Silvermoon to kill Lor'themar.
With all FOUR city leaders sacked, we all took a trip back to Ogrimmar to take down the real prize. Saurfang. Twice.
