as for everything else duri and i have been back and forth for countless hours on spec this spec that well what happens here and there if i use this talent and he REALLY knows his stuff you can always expect him to perform to the best of any warriors ability with what he has for gear connection pc anything because he does his homework inside of game and out.
currently im gonna test out a fury dps spec for him hopefully tonight on vezax and let him know how it works out to see what he thinks he can do
overall based on his knowledge of warriors his experience playing since classic his competancy and his aptitude as a player as well as his ability to listen this guy is easily in the top 5 warriors of "know wtf to do" on the server

25man Ulduar. !!1 raid.
my videocard is dying it appears I lost a rom chip and somehow is still working. no excues but just a fyi, I dc'ed twice or so because of it, but once I got the computer running a little better things began to smooth out.
First time in ulduar; and man I'll say I'm impressed the instance sound quite fun!
My rotation wasn't very smooth at all. I still pulled decent numbers; well decent to me I'm sure they were no where near perfect. I really just need to get back in flow and well feel good in the instance.
Please! Look over the numbers and tell me if I did anything major wrong. I believe I did ok. And will more than likely do much better when I'm used to the instance.

From bosses to that of trash. Best way to be the best you can be is to know what your heading into.
The only question that comes up is several different strats for just about every boss. So my question is does Downfall use any different strats for bosses / trash that I should be aware of? When I led ZG and AQ 20 for the most part I hated hearing from guildies asking how do you do this fight. So the make a long story short the more I know the more prepared I am the better I will do and the more likely I can ajust to a goof in the raid or an oh shit moment and hopefully help the raid turn away from a wipe to a successful downing of a boss.

That is really where you need to go to find what the strats are on different bosses and if it varies from the regular strat.

Roronek — Mon, 06/08/2009 - 12:10I have had the pleasure of raiding with Duriden in Guardians of Light all through BC, from the beginnings of SSC to Mother Sharaz in Black Temple, now given he was not there for all of that given certain contraints when he was able to be there he was and pulled great dps for his class. He knows warriors well and he is a great asset to any raid if he is there.

Regardless Duri was nice enough so show me all of azeroth and teach me a lot of things. when I was a real noob. like to the point where. "wheres the repair vendor?" "how do summon someone?" etc. and Really Smart. Just don't buff him with intellect. He get's really mad. and doesn't get smarter. =P

Gems, I do believe my gemage is quite frankly wrong, just haven't fixed it yet. I haven't been playing steady for all of my senior year, so I'm in a little bit of a rush to get things a little more organized and well proper. Weapon enchants are expensive. Expecially for 2 entry level 10man naxx weapons. Sure berserker is amazing, I didn't think skull clad or titansteel destroyer were going to be around as long as they have been. But my rolls in raids are quite unlucky.
I'm going to log on and mess with my gems.
Right now its just a question of me getting things back in pace.

saedo — Mon, 06/08/2009 - 11:01Yea unlucky rolls/drops can mess with ya. Well for weapons itself, it's more of a "how much are you willing to spend for dps" quality.
My story is that I was willing to spend it on a Naxx 10 weapon. And you know what, used it for about 6 months. Never managed to upgrade it until Ulduar. So by some freak of luck, the Berserking on it was used to death. Course it was a risk back then, I could've replaced it within the week for all I know.
Well you don't *have* to change it I suppose since they are of the "lower quality entry level". Just wanted you to be aware.

Alakuu — Mon, 06/15/2009 - 07:13So it seems that I have missed something that the ElitistJerks community has uncovered. I believe it has much to do with the 3.1 changes to the useage and the effectivity of ArP.
At the moment it currently looks like till I'm near 50% ArP and have Grim Totem ArP > Str as a dps stat.
I'll be updating my gear as I can. But long story short Fury warriors need to be gearing for ArP over Str till they're around the cap that being 100% (take note of procs via trinkets etc don't want to over ArP and waste possible dps points).

You got 3, only 2 is needed for a meta requirement, then it's usually not worth gemming blue after that. And based on socket bonuses, boots and pants are probably best bet for them.

Did a fair bit of reading on ElitistJerks today and came across a few posts on the concept of using Berserker with Exe (The ZA enchant).
It seems to be a little odd. Though my concept is more either dual Berserker or Berserker and Massacre.
As soon as those are done I'll bump up the +10 stats to chest and get the correct agi on my cloak.

Alakuu — Mon, 06/08/2009 - 09:44Right now I believe I'm more on the cusp of where Fury starts to get compedent once again. The Titans Grip 10% penelty hurt quite alot.
Numbers I'm pulling really are more dependent on the fight but I'm sure you know that. On average lastnights Naxx raid boss side I was pulling 3.5k - 3.8k dps spiking a little higher / lower depending on the group.
The issue I'm noticing though and it might just be me more over complaining, is pre Titans Grip nerf I was pulling top dps on any fight I'd run across, averaging between 4k-4.2k; now I'm sitting in the middle to top 5 pack of dps in the recent raids I've done. But than again I can't accurately compare myself in for the majority of raids that are pugs.
The big thing that I've noticed, is that as gear gets better expecially now, fury gets alot better. I'm going to try and hit up as many H Naxx's I can, see if I can get rid of the few non naxx 10/25man gear I have, my weapons are whats holding me down I'd say.

Anyway, sign up, blow shit up and impress us. We are down to zero dps warriors in guild. Maybe that's a sign of the weakness of the class, I don't know. I look at other guilds' parses and their brown names are near the top in all mellee friendly fights. I'd like to see that.

Fix your 'laziness' chants and gems, get in out alt runs and show us your stuff. Invites dont come fast around here. Expect weeks of us looking over your shoulder, checking parses for your runs, getting feedback from guildies that run with you before we toss an invite at you.
If you want to be in DF, there is def a spot for a DPS warrior who can perform at the top of his class. You seem to have the experience to do that. Show us how bad you want to be in DF and it will probably work out for you.

Lazy enchants are more of me trying to conserve cash when I know I shouldn't have. They're changing as soon as I can; starting up the old farming gears on my alts trying to churn out the cash to support changes. Really makes me feel stupid now that I look back at what I choose to do.
"bringing the pain" Sure maybe. I can't say I'll pull rogue numbers. But hopefully I'll at least perform towards what blizzard's ideal is. Though I do think its completely useless that they're bumping down "nonpure" dps classes. BUT I'm pretty sure I will do pretty close to what the class can pull. Hopefully blow shit up!
Its sad to hear that you've not had great experience with fury warriors. Hopefully I can change that view.
I'd hope that the invitation process is long and takes quite a lot of work. Only way to keep out people that don't fit a group.

I would recommend what Saedo was talking about earlier in the post, you mainly want to gem strength gems, your gear will mainly take care of everyrthing else. As for you spec its ok but as for raid you would either look into commanding pressence or demo shout according to the needs of the raid. me personally IMP Berserk Rage takes away from dps..your rage will build up on its own following a good rotation, check out my stats on the wow armory site...

Alakuu — Fri, 06/12/2009 - 13:17The fury rotation is very simple. BUT its where the most gain in dps can be achieved (minding that the gear is there to support it)
The concept behind Imp Zerker rage and overall rage generation is sure following the common BT WW Slam when they're up combo (wack a mole anyone?) put out decent dps. BUT once you start throwing in Heroic Strikes you'll start seeing amazing numbers. And till I can achieve the wanted 80-100% MH White swings as instead Heroic Strikes then imo Rage GEN over Imp Executioner.
Overall I <3 your gear. I think once I get some weapons I'll be able to keep up if not push Pure Dps specs on Melee expecially warrior friendly fights.
Now my major question for you and for anyone mind you its a very tough question when you actually sit down and look at the numbers is weapon enchants.
Berserker is geat. But The armor pen from Executioner is great also. They actually are neck and neck from what I was understanding but expecially at my gear level Bersker > Executioner for MH at least. OH is a different question.
My gems should be about 99% in order. Still working on enchants, though really the big hole in my gear is weapon enchants atm. My cloak and chest could use a upgrade enchant wise but they're not horribly behind. 85AP is just so meh compared to berserker...

Not sure whats up with Armory. I'd like to have compared your Armor Pen vs Mine but armor pen isn't showing up under the Hit tab, it shows it as 0; when clearly we both have items that contribute Armor Pen rating.

Just glanced at your talents; and didn't realize you were running Enrage. Does that proc for you at all? In 25man naxx I wasn't noticing much uptime at all and seeign as it doesn't stack with deathwish its effective uptime could be even lower. Though I could be wrong. Haven't had a chance to step foot in Ulduar yet.

Enrage helps out a whole lot for trash mobs, Id say its better than putting them in imp cleave, way more dps.. it does also proc if you take any type of damge from a boss such as any splash damage they put out into the raid.. ive been doing alot better in parses since i specc'ed into it. oh and no it doesnt stack with death wish but it helps out while its on its 2 min CD

This has been covered extensively. In nearly all situations, AoE in raids does not cause rage, and thus cannot cause Enrage to proc. You would have to be directly targeted by a mob's ability for it to have the capability of procing Enrage. The only examples I can think of are the ranged fireballs that Razorscale shoots, some of the stuff Stormcaller Brundir casts, or maybe getting hit by the Corruptor Tentacles on Yogg. Other than that, taking a survivable melee hit by adds or trash is the only other thing that could proc Enrage.
Thus, it doesn't help in raids. Just spend the points in Commanding Presence or Improved Demoralizing Shout and help your raid.
