Kitten Brigade
A hardcore raid.
Which WoW boss gave you an epic feeling after their defeat

My personal hell was Kael'Thas. We spent like what 2 months on him. He was considered by many a "Guild Killer" due to the fact that yes he wasnt just a boss you can go in and faceroll on the kb and collect loot. Its too bad we didnt stay any longer than we needed because we had just completed the Hyjal attunement. We hauled ass after we killed him and went straight into Hyjal that night lol. I think that same night we all got attuned for BT as well?
Portlanders, READ ME!

Hey PORTLANDERS! Your favorite Chef is heading back up your way. I need 2 favors if you'd like to oblige!
1) a place to stay the nights of October 16th and 17th!
2) A group of people to drink to their hearts content the night of the 17th, as I am now 21 and legal todo those oh so unforgivable adult things.
Post here lemme know what's up!!!!!
This raid is now LFM
If interested, please see /node/7168
Our current raid composition is as follows:
Sargus: Death Knight Tank / MDPS
Tuque: Paladin Healer
Keisjaa: Priest Healer
Draconia: Shaman RDPS / Healer
Sip: Rogue DPS
Kwonzaa: Warrior DPS
Acetylcoa: Warlock DPS
With a couple of departures, we're looking to add some regulars to the team. I believe Shurley (Warrior) and Closer (Druid) can tank and DPS for us on an at least semi-regular basis, but that leaves at least one spot open for a tank or raid healer, or DPS... So if you are a tank, or raid healer, or DPS that doesn't fit one of the already fulfilled classes (desired: mage, prot pally, ret pally, feral druid, resto druid shadow priest, hunter) and are looking for a 10 man group for VOA, ToC 10, and Onyxia - please do post your interest here.

Basic functional plan for HM Faction Champions:
1) Better man-to-man snaring on the rogue and warrior. What we WEREN'T doing, was alerting the raid as to what our target was actually doing. That is to say, let's make an example.
Let's say I'm controlling the rogue, and Quisjaa is controlling the warrior. I need to say on vent who the Rogue is chasing ("Rogue coming for Rupta") so that if the rogue shadowsteps, they can get quick heals or move out quickly. Quisjaa would need to say who the warrior is chasing, and if he's bladestorming.
Going to watch the video above a few more times to make sure I have a better feel for how to chain-snare my target for Friday.
2) Healers need to plan around this being a LONG fight, not a short, bursty fight.
3) Heroism right off the bat may not be the best idea.
4) Have a rogue, prot warrior, and any other stun-heavy class sticking on the Horde healers for spell control.
5) Stronger focused dps.
Basic plan is what Zildo mentioned in the last thread:
a) Kill the healers.
b) Kill the "big melee dps" - warrior and rogue specifically, but I imagine the DK and ret pally would be here too.
c) Kill the ranged dps. They deal the least "burst" damage so their damage is more controllable as compared to the warrior or rogue. "Heal through it" basically.

I'm TERRIBLE at shammy theorycraft, but I wanted to run ya through RAWR and get some theoretical numbers. RAWR's version 2.2.19 is supposed to be quite good for elemental under the rotation:
- FS
- Lava Burst
- 6 x Lightening Bolt
- Lava Burst
- 5 x Lightening Blot
- (repeat)
RAWR "theoretical" dps in your gear is 6655 but we all know that this is usually out of reach for most of us. So I added a few "easily" obtainable pieces of gear to its optimizer to get a list of some upgrades. Take all these with a grain of salt and a bit of brain, of course:
- [Nobundo's Helm of Conquest], gem with [Reckless Ametrine]: 50 x [Emblem of Triumph]
- [Flowing Sapphiron Drape] from heroic Ony
- [Spectral Kris] from 5-man heroic Trial
- [Abyssal Rune] from normal 5-man heroic Trial
Anyhoo, I wanted to put it out here for discussion and any input any of our shammies might have!
Looks like more hard mode ToC and then Ulda.
