Need Helping Getting Game To Work
Disrupter — Mon, 12/14/2009 - 01:33
I decided to purchase Dragon Age: Origins the other night and I've been unable to successfully make it work. As far as I can tell my computer exceeds all of the requirements. I tried updating my video drivers, reinstalling, reducing the settings etc. No matter what I seem to do, when I try to load the game, it attempts to load for a few seconds and completely freezes my computer.
Can anyone help me fix this? Any information you need just ask and I'll try to get it to you.
You know the drill.

Time for my yearly Child's Play charity plug!

As a gamer, the only real charity I give to consistently is Child's Play. Each year, many children's hospitals in the US and Canada create Amazon wish lists, which you can browse, purchase items, and have them mailed directly to the hospital that needs them. Items focus on Games and books, prices ranging from $3 golden books to $200 DS/Wii/Xbox systems, so there's something for everyone's budget. Please stop by and see if there's a hospital in your area that you could give to!
"Since 2003, over 100,000 gamers worldwide
have banded together through Child’s Play, a community based charity
grown and nurtured from the game culture and industry. Over 5 million
dollars in donations of toys, games, books and cash for sick kids in
children’s hospitals across North America and the world have been
collected since our inception.
This year, we have continued expanding across the country and the
globe. With almost 70 partner hospitals and more arriving every month,
you can be sure to find one from the map above that needs your help!
You can choose to purchase requested items from their online retailer
wish lists, or make a cash donation that helps out Child’s Play
hospitals everywhere. Any items purchased through Amazon will be
shipped directly to your hospital of choice, so please be sure to
select their shipping address rather than your own.
When gamers give back, it makes a difference!"
Aristocrats 10M in 3.3
Kwondre — Thu, 12/03/2009 - 12:29
This is a heads up for members and parties interested in the Aristocrats raid.
When 3.3 hits, I'm thinking we keep the Tuesdays, 4PM to 6 PM Server, and aim to accomplish the following during that time frame (in order of priority):
- The Weekly Raid Quest: For our yummy 10 badges
- As much of 10m Icecrown as possible (my belief is that 10m ICC will be easier than 10m TOGC)
- VOA - when new boss comes out
- If we have time left over, which we probably will early on in the patch, we can split into two five mans and farm the three ICC dungeons.
- NO ONYXIA..IM DONE
Thoughts? Comments?
So far, "regulars" are Myself (Warriah), Keisjaa (Priest), Nuit (Pally Tank), Derch (Resto Shaman), Ace (whatever alt he feels like blessing us with that week), Saedo (Mage/Pally Healer), Sargus (DK DPS/Tank) - when he doesn't feel like being a 12 year old.
Please post here if you're interested in this weekly run.

I find that looking at recent posts and especially "my unread" that the same thread is listed multiple times. Is there a setting or some such thing that will show a thread just once?
