So I was wondring who has or will be preordering Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic? Also who is thinking about playing when it releases, wouldn't mind finding a few to hang out with on there when it comes out : D.
If you are intrested in the game, Gamebreaker.tv has a weekly show devoted to SWTOR and new information about it, sometimes it has some good stuff on there.
Feel free to post other infromation or w/e here!

Click the F#%^@ing Lightwell
Maltoheals — Tue, 05/03/2011 - 12:59
Let me first begin by saying "I have been looking over the parses for quite some time"
Lightwell Usage in our 25 man is a Complete "Zero" in a 8 min fight on Cho'gal we had 3 clicks on it total....
Ummmmmm Not ok.... So let me Educate you on some Specifics of lightwell usage.....
From MMO-Champion
– there seems to be some concern regarding the Lightwell mechanic. So
in the interest of educating myself and the one or two others who might
be reading this, here’s some info.
- It is the highest heal-per-mana (hpm) spell for priests.
- You can click it from up to 20 yards away.
- Clicking it will not change your target and does not trigger the global cooldown.
- It heals for more per tick than Renew.
- It can be used while stunned, disoriented, sapped, blinded or casting.
WoWhead’s description:
- Lightwell
- 30% of base mana
- 40 yd range
- 0.5 sec cast
- 3 min cooldown
- Creates a Holy Lightwell. Friendly players can click the Lightwell
to restore (((2878 + ($SP * .308)) * 3) * 1.25) health over 6 sec.
Attacks done to you equal to 30% of your total health will cancel the
effect. Lightwell lasts for 3 min or 10 charges. - You can click it from up to 20 yards away.
From a comment on that page:
This spell is way more powerful then you all think. This spell can be used while
- Tanking
- Kiting
- Blinded
- Stunned
- Disoriented
- Sapped
- Casting another heal or spell
- You can click it from up to 20 yards away.
You don’t even need to un-click your current target. Lets compare with a more favored heal over time, Such as Renew.
Lightwell costs 30% of base mana, and does 10charges or “casts”.
So really its 3% of your base mana for every charge.
(the following is at 290 spell power)
Each charge heals 10,000 over 6seconds.
As for renew its 6,124 over 12seconds and costing 18% more mana per cast (compared to each charge)
You can literally be in two places at once, having your light well
positioned properly. Heal ranged dps, or yourself while your to busy
focusing on people who are dieing rather then injured. The ticks also
tick faster [down from over 6seconds] with your haste. All you have to
do is, Click.. and we will be well on our way to appreciating this
spell.
Let me help you even more......
Here is a two part macro for using the lightwell and you don't even have you move your face from Cho'gals ass
I would suggest using the following link as it explains setting up a "No Click" lightwell macro
http://harpysnest.wordpress.com/2010/10/17/lightwell-and-loving-it/
So in closing I will make a deal with you - I will keep that sucker down and on cooldown but please don't make me regret even having the talent point
Alt Raid week 2!
Zevix — Wed, 03/23/2011 - 08:21
I will be running the alt raid again this week on SUNDAY, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. SERVER TIME!
We will be doing BH before heading back into BWD, if you post here make sure you are not locked to either of the raids please. All we need right now is another tank and a melee DPS post name, class, spec if you are interested. If you came last week and can not make this week please post so I know to not expect you, thanks!
Tank1- Cruzer, Warrior
Tank2- Scaron
Healer1- Brena, Shaman
Healer2- Minister, Priest
Healer3- Klean, Paladin
DPS- Ao, Mage
DPS- Turbodots, Lock
DPS- Mirana, Hunter
DPS- Deathsteel, Death Knight
DPS- (melee needed)
Hey ladies, gentlemen, oh and Shakos...I have been talking to a some people lately and a few have expressed some interest in maybe doing an alt raid, now that we all have at least one lvled (most everyone) seems like it might be fun to try. So I thought I would make a post on the subject to see what kind of response I get.
Here is what I was thinking.....
I am only looking for main alts that are raid ready that are not still rocking quest greens, a little effort is always nice. If you post here make sure you can play you alt with enough competence that you can pull your own weight in a raid environment. While I am looking to make this a very relaxed fun raiding experience, I would still like to kill bosses so make sure you understand the bosses mechanics before coming. I am going to try and make this first come first serve, keeping in mind I can't bring six druids, pallys or whatever is cool these days, so please think before posting.
I want this to be something like a one day a week thing, maybe two but this would depend on who signs up and what we choose to do as a group. If this ends up taking place during the work week ( mon.- fri.) then I would like it to be around the time that G.E.L raids (6:00PM - 9:00ST). As for loot rules, come knowing what you need so we can do fair /rolls, lets make it as simple as we can. If this is sounding like something you would want to take part in, post below with your alts name, class and, spec. If you have more questions feel free to post here or contact me in game I'm on most days
I will try to fill this in as we fill (hopefully) up so we can see who we got.
Tank 1- Cruzer Warrior, Prot.
Tank 2- ????
Healer 1- Brena Shaman, resto
Healer 2- Ardea, I might need your pally since we are lacking one.
Healer 3- Ace's disc priest
DPS- Ao Mage, fire
DPS- Mirana Hunter, marks
DPS- Deathsteel Deathknight
DPS- Savageshawn Druid, boomkin
DPS- Melee (ret, fury, rogue, cat)
Raid Groups --- 10 and 25 mans can coexist........
Maltoheals — Wed, 12/22/2010 - 11:31
Last night Cele brought up a very good point in our 25 man raid that I feel deserves discussion....
Can our 25 man and 10 man raids coexist with current lock out system.... Yes!!!!
I think if we know ahead of time what a certain group is working on for example the 25 man is working on Blackrock then the same individual in the 25 man can run with a 10 man locked to another raid instance......
I feel actually this could become very effective for those that have time to get exposure to the other raids before your main raid group encounters the instance.... Plus it can put to rest the "I want to run in that group but am already saved to another one" ......
It will take coordination from those leading the raids to schedule ahead of time their destination but will free up both fillin's and allow the last few spots of some more casual raid groups ......
It's Hard or is it better
Maltoheals — Mon, 12/13/2010 - 06:15
Well it has been a fun leveling but have seen a common theme.....
People Saying this class is bad or that class is good etc..... Or these runs are hard lol...
I screw up with the best of them and have not done the research that I should in many cases but have to say this....
"I Love This Expansion - It makes People Think"............ I like
you have to work to get in raiding.... I like you have to play smart or
the healer can not keep you up ....... Make us all better players.... I
for one look forward to the challenges...
Check this post out .... It is well thought out and a direct response to the QQ'ing
This one is for Derch (Keep the Dream Alive -- Go Mariners)

Cataclysm Raiding 10 man
Zevix — Sun, 11/21/2010 - 15:30
This post is if we are unable to pull together enough people to maintain a 25 man raid for cataclysm, I am looking for people that would like to take part in a hardcore 10 man raid. This raid would run from 6:00 -1 0:00 Server time 3 days a week, what 3 days would be up for discussion of the finial group one put together. My hope for this raid would be to do hard modes and achievements as fast a humanly possible when the content is released.
I would also like the group to be able to help each gear up as fast as possible once we hit 85 so we can enter raids as soon as we can. Each player is responsible for themselves, in the end though it is up them each person to make sure by the time raid starts that they are the best they can be at that point in time. I am also only looking for peoples main characters and no alts so don’t ask. Once we have all we need from the instance then we can talk about bring a few in alts.
Once we find 10 people to fill the raid you will be expected to be there know your class and every encounter before we get there. As Knoppix mentioned in his post I’m looking for only serious and skilled players that stay up to date with current changes and have a good understanding of what they are doing. What I am hoping for is a focused group that can get in and out and still have a good time doing it. To do get this done we will need 10 people that like being around each other and know how to GIVE and TAKE criticism well as long as it is productive so the group can be successful as a whole. With this said bad attitudes and needless problem causing will be delt with the person in question being replaced.
I would like to clear all content this expansion with a group of people I like and enjoy playing with like it has been since I have joined Downfall. If this sounds like something you might be interested in let know so we can get a feel for what a possible raid composition might be like. If you can post your name of the character you wish to bring and spec you would like to play below.

Below I have listed two of my recent screen shots of my UI, between the two they Should give a good look @ my UI in combat.
Anyone got any suggestions for improvements / other helpful addons I might try. I like to keep most of the mods on the light side of memory but I'll try just about anything. I really like to get as much open space as possible to max out my areas to see shit coming.
Addons shown:
DBM - raid timers
Sexycooldown - CD tracker
Bartender 4 - bars
Shadowed UF - unit frames
Rogue power bars - ability timers
Roguefocusclassic - energy / combo point tracker
