General Questions

Tell us a little of your history in WoW.:

Started out shortly after it went live thanks to some friends introducing it. They used me hard by "convincing" me to be a warrior. Joke was on them as I dim-wittingly stole all their weapons. (Because hey, warriors could literally use anything back then! :D)

How do you feel about the state of your class in the game?:

DKs could be the worst class in the game and I'd still be one. (Too engorged in the lore behind them)

What led you to our guild and what would you like to accomplish with us?:

I'm close friend's with Ryan (Fandango) and we discussed at lengths ways I would be able to make a positive contribution to Downfall's raiding efforts.

Which days are you available for organized guild events? (Raids, RBGs, etc):

Monday

Thursday

Friday

Saturday

Sunday

Upload UI:

Which addons do you consider essential and why?:

Compact Runes makes it easy to keep track of what's up
Swing Timer addon decreases amount of KMs wasted on Frost Strike
eLUI , Bartender, and Move Anything cleans up the screen makes visibility customizable to my liking (which increases confidence and performance)
Skada helps me dissect what I took damage from post fights
The rest is fluff.
I still need to track back down the addon I used to track trinket buffs.

What do you like in particular about the UI you are currently using?:

I take it this is explaining the fluff then?
The clock one in the upper right is so I can see the time easier.
The minimap is just aesthetic for me.
TomTom is a gps :/
I have an auction addon to help me not waste money.

PvE

Raid Experience:

Pre-cata all raiding I did was tag along invites from friend who were in raid guilds (I was focused more on other things and WoW was just a pass time hobby)
Did some pug raiding in Cata but wasn't much of a raider.
In Panda I joined Malevolent and cleared Soo full heroic and later mythic when released.

Describe Your Playstyle:

I focus more on mechanics than my dps. Makes me drift a bit on my rotations but it's rare I misstep.

What specializations do you have experience with?:

All 3. I was the 3rd tank in Malev and often (very often) needed to step in for late/missing members. I should note I'm not overly fond of it though.

What are your most and least favorite boss encounters?:

I very much enjoyed LK, Illidan, and Garrosh for the lore/story. Thok was entertaining.

Hated Galakras and Horridon for being needlessly long.

I've never really focused on whether I liked boss fights or not, the entertainment for me comes from story.

PvP

PvP Experience:

PvP is not something I dive too deep into.

Is PvP your primary focus?:

Are you interested in participating in guild rated battlegrounds?:

Personal

Is English your first language?:

Yes

What timezone are you in?:

GMT-6 (Central)

Tell us a little about yourself.:

I'm 28, work IT, and play arena soccer on Wednesday nights. I'm fairly quiet. I like to work on odd little projects (like turning my gamecube into a suitcase game station or my desk drawers into a PC case, etc) I can't cook to save my life. I'll burst into flames if the temperature goes about 70. Despite years of college-esque drinking I've only been drunk twice. (I''m from Wisconsin so it's not alcoholism, we've just gone pro here.)
