badpenny — Sat, 11/01/2014 - 21:55in Galaga's alt Heroic runs. Many of our regular raiders are missing right now and others were on alts. Regardless, we had 18 with us last time and Aloriisa was very solid on deeps and situational awareness.
hello and welcome
manleychaps — Sat, 11/01/2014 - 13:45I am James and I play a warrior (fury most of the time) I have looked over your app and your armory. You say you use
Bartender but when looking at your UI it seems stock. I am wondering if you are happy with the stock layout for now or if you use
Bartender more for your other classes?
I also looked over your build and was wondering what resources outside of the game you use for gemming and talent choices. You have haste/crit in your red sockets. Most players right now do not run that build. Is this leftover from when gems gave expertise? It is not a bad thing; haste is alot more useful for warriors now.
You say you play prot as well. Are you thinking of going prot with the new Gladiator Stance at 100? Right now the sim dps for gladiator is best for all warrior dps specs.
I noticed you picked Mass spell reflection for your 75 talent. Is there any fight you can tell me you have needed to use this? I have not been able to find anything in SoO where it is worth speccing. I find vigilance is very good for helping out the tanks when taking high damage on some fights.
Your glyphs seem standard for the most part. I see you use enraged speed; I use bloodthirst. It works well considering haste now speeds up the CD of bloodthirst. It's a nice little heal to have but it is not necessary. One glyph I would say is good for minor is subtle defender--it removes threat from defensive stance. As dps, there really is no time you want to pull the boss more then a one time taunt well at range. But to be able to use your def stance as a 20% damage block is very helpful on many fights. eg garrosh whirl
Hello
Aloriisa — Tue, 11/04/2014 - 18:31Sorry for the late response First I normally use bartender but with the wod update messed up the settings on most of my addons. when wod comes out I will be using it again.
Yes most of my gems where when expertise was still in the game. I would normally change them but since haste is not a terrible stat I have not changed them with how close the new expansion is.
Really I will play whatever spec is needed and whatever class people want. I enjoy all the classes I have and am willing to do whatever the group needs
No I don't normally use mass reflect I was doing some solo old content and was using that talent then forgot to switch is back when I logged out.
Never even thought about the subtle defender glyph I will have to try that out. with me using sudden death and not unquenchable thirst I do not get as many bloodthirst so I didn't think that was as good of a glyph. I do like the added movement but it is also not a necessary glyph
This depends on which site he
Mehguy — Sat, 11/01/2014 - 14:58This depends on which site he is referencing when gemming his toon.
I'm assuming that the reason he is running haste/crit is due to noxxic. They are still recommending Crit>Mastery>Haste. Which fully explains all his gemming choices.
However, if he is going off of Icy-Veins (and a few blizz forums), they recommend haste (up to 11%) > Crit (% varies based on SMF or TG) > Mastery > Haste, etc. So if he is following this, he is trying to get to the recommended crit % before working on mastery, then more haste. Since he cant put crit/mastery gems into red sockets, he is left with haste/crit gems to put into the red sockets to maintain the socket bonuses.
Completely agree on the Vigilance talent as well as the Subtle Defender glyph. Both should be required for fury.
I would also suggest playing around with either Furious Strikes or Unquenchable Thirst for your 45 talent over Sudden Death. While using TG, your Sudden Death doesn't proc as often as it would as SMF, so you're at a higher risk of sitting there waiting for longer white dmg hits while waiting on your Bloodthirst CD in order to get your Raging Blows or Bloodsurge proc for Wild Strike. Where as if you have a lower rage costing Wild Strike, you could hit that a little more often as a filler without killing your rage and can still be able to use Whirlwind as an optional filler. Or if you go with Unquenchable Thirst, you can spam BT to get your 2 stacks of Raging Blow faster, and also give you more Bloodsurge procs for free Wild Strikes. However when you do run SMF, definitely run Sudden Death. Your faster white dmg hits compared to TG will make executes all the difference.
Hello
Aloriisa — Tue, 11/04/2014 - 18:43I use icy veins for most of my gemming. I don't know why but I am also a fan of obtaining the socket bonus. If it is a huge waste of matching the slot I will do the better gem but I normally think its a very minor difference cause I am gaining a little bit of a stat.
I normally use vigilance but I have never thought to use subtle defender but I will definatly use it and see how it is.
The 45 talent in the time before wod I have been messing with all three options to see which is good and which fit my playstyle better. Sudden death as a TG is definatly a high risk high reward talent. I use it and sometimes absolutly destroy because it keeps proccing and I have also had fight where I feel it never procs. After playing with all three I am leaning towards using furious strikes but while the raids are still really easy I am testing them all.
