In your Holy spec you decided to go with Body and Soul over Surge of Light.... Not sure I agree with this decision. I do miss the speed buff from Body and Soul but the instant cast from Surge of light can be a life saver in a pinch if your tank is going to go down....... The speed boost of body and soul and self cleanse just does not out weigh the benefit of Surge.....
FILL UP YOUR GLYPHs and Glyph of Psychic Scream as a major for holy makes no sense (especially since you don't pvp)...... Please correct Glyphs

Bellibutton — Sun, 01/09/2011 - 13:59Surge of Light is 2 talent points that do nothing for me at the moment. In raids, I cast Heal almost never. I plan on taking out Rapid Renewal and the insta-heal on Renew to move into SoL for when 4.06 comes out, as it will then affect GHeal and Flash Heal. That being said, I cast heal a ton in 5mans, but we don't spec for 5 mans.
Side note: not sure why a holy priest would be tank healing anyways. They're not very strong at it currently, but efficiency will go up slightly with the buff to SoL. Disc is way better for tank healing (even moreso with the 4.06 buff coming).
In regards to the Glyph of Psychic Scream, I get a lot of mileage out of it. The only other options are really Spirit of Redemption, and Mass Dispel. I haven't used Mass Dispel in raids as it costs far too much mana, and generally there are no fights where aoe-dispels are needed urgently.

Being in Serenity during a boss encounter is very important at times when damage is tank heavy etc.... Triage is key and just spamming raid heals in Sanct is not the right thing for the moment in all cases
with the fact that Body and soul really does nothing but a self cleanse (that I can tell you from experience never gets used) and a speed buff I do not see how this is an advantage over the possible need for Healing surge of light can bring....
being a raid healer does not meen never healing the tank or further more using a free heal on a dps ....
by the way you say mass dispell is not needed in raiding? is this 10 man raiding? I have needed it in 25 man I can tell you that (with 8 dispells in close proximity mass dispell makes way more sense - I raid 25 mans not 10's therefore I can see there might not be as much of a need)).... I can see where Glyph of Psychic Scream can indeed get mileage for cc'ing I will move off from that but why only one minor glyph?
I will even say Glyph of Psychic Scream probably seems best of the other Glyphs after taking mass and circle so will have to say not going to focus on that one .....
For the most part your solid I disagree with the body and soul thing but indeed these are expendable points you have taken the definately needed talents and have not taken the worthless stuff......
Good luck on your app I still look forward to our other priests commenting and also might give Psychic Scream Glyph a try although I rarely get called on for cc'ing but really is not much else to use and inner fire glyph is worthless (which I have active now)....

When a tank is in desperate need of heals that a raid healer is helping out, Heal is generally not the spell I use. It would be either GHeal of FHeal, which the talent does not currently affect. 6% chance to proc on a spell that is used mostly in low-damage phases is slightly counter-intuitive. Like I said, the talent will be pretty well needed when it gets the (much needed) buff in 4.06.
Body and Soul is great for giving DPS a hand. People who may be a little too far out on Valionas breath, speed-bosting people on Atramedes (who are being chased by fire), to name a couple instances. I've found it to be a huge helper in 25mans.
Also, maybe I'm just very forgetful right now.. The only boss that I can think of requiring multiple dispels is the boss in Baradin Hold.
And about the Psychic Scream glyph, I don't use it for CC; just to save myself when the tank is a little slow picking up the add on me (if fade is down).

I am not sure why you would never use heal at all.... would be very interested in seeing parses from your raids
like I said in the earlier post (not trying to get into a pissing match here ..... ) those are two points that can be shifted for sure but still not sold enough myself to go B&D .....

Was raiding with Insinuo Matris on 05-01 and 06-01..
Looking through parses through some of the top guilds, Heal only sees about 15-30 casts on most fights at top usage. 6% of that will see it proc only once or twice! I had read a bunch of theorycrafting on ElitistJerks about this before I stepped into raiding, and considering how much I've used Heal (close to none, minus when I'm tank healing which is hardly ever), I've enjoyed B&S far more. Plus, mana isnt really a super big deal if you manage your cooldowns (and raid cooldowns) well :)
