Raid Experience:

ICC 10-man up to (but not including) the Lich King, mostly as a healer but did a bit of secondary tanking for one of the bosses. Recently did Blackwing Descent, again as a healer, with my guild up to Maloriak but we couldn't pull enough DPS to get him down in the 7 minute time limit.

I had a look at your bear spec. You could improve it by changing it to something like this. Picking up Perserverance in the resto tree will let you take less damage from fire ect. Also, I dont like glyph of frenzied regen, the heal from the baseline ability has saved me when no healers were healing me, but the glyph choice is subjective.

I've been contemplating going that direction. My spec/glyphs are mostly set up for heroic pugs where the healer may not be quite as...strong...as they would be on a raid and are completely focused on me. The glyphed frenzied regeneration lets me help them be more mana efficient and the faerie fire/challenging roar helps with keeping/regaining aggro if the DPS gets "off target".

Your advice seems very sound in a situation where I can better rely on the competence of the healer(s) and dps and can concentrate my setup more on pure damage mitigation and self sufficiency for when the healers are caring for large groups of people.

I've talked with a few people from the guild regarding guild chat and don't think I'd have a problem. By "vulgarity", I don't mean good-natured adult-oriented "seedy" discussions. I'm more referring to the racist, over-the-top extremes that tend to be associated with voice on Xbox Live.

I understand that an important part of this courtship is actually playing together to see if we're a good fit and are reasonably competent players; something difficult to do when we're on a different server. As such, we're reallly looking more for some indication as to whether you're at all interested. If you simply don't want to take on a pair of 85s (once Odesius gets the application in) with middling gear and little raid experience then it'd be good to know.

Once we clear that hurdle then we'd transfer over and take it all to the next step. If it doesn't work out then no hard feelings.
