Thanks again Sargus! I made those changes that you mentioned regarding the gems. I did not do the tuskarr on the boots yet, you haven't sold me on it yet :)! I'm all over it when my tranfer is complete. By the way, yeah thanks for the carpel tunnel syndrome after typing out my gear score rant!!!!

Sargus, thank you for your review of my application.

 The Bryntroll; I happened to have a purple gem in my bag at the time so I threw it in there, the difference of putting a red in there would be a gain of 2 strength and I know stam. is stupid for DPS and I should change that soon. I had already fufilled my Meta-gem requirements, must have been a touch of OCD going for the socket bonus of +8 strength seemed harmless enough. I will throw 2 Strength gems in that tonight and the orange gem really isnt as important unless I am trying to get a socket bonus so thank you for that smack in the head.

The hit gem, yes that was some testing I was doing as I picked up "festering finger guards" 277, they have haste but I dropped hit and the set bonus so i wanted to make sure at least my hit was good. I talked myself out of using the 277's as the 3% damage buff seemed way to good to give up for a little extra strength and haste.

I was not aware that tuskarrs was better that the straight AP for the boot enchant, I would be happy to change that. I would like it if you could direct me to some information on that topic, I understand that any raid leader would love the dps to have some quicker feet.

Gear score, for our server I didn't think I was too far off but obviously Downfall has higher standards and I like that; I have not been able to pick up the T10 upgrades (2 so far) as they have to drop and I have to bid on them so its a crap shoot for me. Also Deaths Verdict has been proven to be a better trinket than Herk. war token although I love to swap them out to try them out the DV is just better stats ilv245 item than the badge piece ilv264. I couldnt see spending the badges on the sigil of hanged man as the ilv245 is pretty good and no ramp up time (like the HWT too) I want to get the pendant and scale from RS but my DKP is low so ill be a little late in picking up those pieces ( I paid big points for the heroic Bryntroll so i got tapped pretty good) My tank set, most of the pieces I got from off spec no bid drops but I did pick up a few of the badge pieces so that I would be relevant in ICC for tanking. I could have put on the festering fingerguards, and the war token and the sigil, to boost my gearscore for this application, but I'd rather you knew that I have recieved those items that are of a higher gearscore, I choose to use the lower gearscore items as the performance is better. Sargus, If I put on all of my gear to boost my gearscore I'd only be 50-ish points behind you in gearscore and I don't even have all of the sanctified gear marks so I'm not sure why you view this as "very low". I'd love to be a part of Downfall, Gearscore does play a big factor in performance, I've been saying it for a long time, but to get higher level gear score is not my absolute goal, I just want to kick ass and have fun.

I had stockpiled quite a bit of frost badges a while back with the hopes of getting shadowmourne,and then got into summer and needed to take some time off as work was getting hectic. Prior to taking the time off I had sold my badges for primordial saronite, that I gave to our guild bank so that other guildies might be able to get Shadows edge or what have you. It set me back quite a bit and it has taken me a few month to aquire the gear to out dps the other DK's that I used to spank when ICC first came out. The spanking has begun again. I'm not a total gear whore, I think I hold my own on DPS ( I wish I had parses for you but I would have no idea how to get them) Yes I love to put out solid damage on bosses but like I said, I spent allot of time on aquiring tank gear (which i never seem to get to do anymore) and our guild had a thing where you could not bid on a piece if it wasn't for your main spec unless none of the main spec wanted it (mind you this seemed a fair practice in my opinion), and for allot of ICC content I was main spec tank (although I only got to off tank 10 mans as 25mans I was DPS).

I'd say that the belt (would love an upgrade), the trinket, the neck, the sigil, the gloves (that i choose not to use), and the lack of sactified gear makes it appear that I am not as geared as you might like, but unless I can get the drops from Ruby sanctum and the Marks from ICC, I'm satisfied that my gear is as "up to date" as it can be for running 2 or 3 ICC 25 mans a week (allot of which is heroic progression bosses).

The achievment points; My guild never really worked very hard on gaining achievments. We took down three drakes but other than that we didn't hunt down too many achievments except by accident. My heroic 5 mans, I'd love to run a few more of those for the achievments, they are allot of fun but raiding beats out any of that. I'd be game for any and all desired achievments if given the chance to run with Downfall.

As WOTLK came out in the fall of 2008, that is really when I started raiding and running heroic dungeons. I never had another toon that was able to do any of that (I grinded (ugh) a Paladin to 55 and grabbed a DK). So I didn't get to experience any of the endgame "vanilla WoW" or BC raids. This is where you may find that other toons would surpass allot of DK's as, unless I choose to go back and run a bunch of level 60 instances I will not accuire the achievement stuff that you value. So stone away call me a noob, I've been playing this toon as a raider since Dec. of 2008 I might be a knucklehead but I assure you I'm no noob :).

It is my desire to impress upon Downfall that I know my class, my spec, my rotation and my gear and I have raided and been competent and a valuable asset in my guild and that it is my hope to become that for Downfall.
