@Nellem
Shihli — Mon, 03/15/2010 - 12:44Revolving door commentary aside, you've got good gear and we have available raiding spots. How soon could you transfer?
I will be blunt, while you
Gares of War — Wed, 03/10/2010 - 11:16I will be blunt, while you did the right thing, we are not a group that takes "ship jumping" very well. We are a community, a strong one I believe. What would prevent you from coming back then disappearing after a month. If there is, without a shadow of a doubt, no way you would just disappear again, then I am fine with you back. We are NOT a rebound guild, keep that in mind.
I am only leerly because I find people who change their name to something unrelated to their original character and indication of guild jumping.
No issues there Gares, I
Nellem1 — Wed, 03/10/2010 - 11:48No issues there Gares, I understand your weary thoughts here. Like I stated before, I only left upon request of my wife of her to play with me in the game. She had a toon on the server that she refused to level, and instead wanted me to transfer my characters to supplement that she had leveled one on a completely different server. Secondly, I changed my characters name when I transferred because I had Nellem for a long time and became very bored with it. It was a random name generated when I created the character, and decided that I wanted to find a name that I chose myself. Which is why I am named the way I am now.
Now, with that stated, I've expressed my feelings to my wife about asking me to transfer only to have her jump guilds and leave to go on to do her own things. Not bitter feelings, but I did mention that she asked me to transfer toons to play with her. Since then, we've recognized that we no longer require playing together. She does her thing, I do mine. Nevertheless, my actions speak louder than my words. I can only tell you, I am tired of "jumping ship". I enjoyed my time in DF, and would like to continue my time within DF. Hence why I am applying to this guild once again, knowing that it's going to cause me a lot of money to transfer my characters back. Money is not the concern here, but it will play a factor in being able to come back, and shows I am willing to put forth the effort to be apart of it once more.
Revolving door.
garreth — Wed, 03/10/2010 - 11:15Revolving door.
It's a bit more complicated
Nellem1 — Wed, 03/10/2010 - 12:30It's a bit more complicated than that Garreth. I know it seems as if I am just jumping around from guild to guild, but that's not the entire truth.
I originally left to be in a guild with my wife that broke up after a couple of months being there. From there, we joined another guild that she ended up leaving for a more progressed guild. I maintained myself within that guild until it too, broke up (mainly the leaders of the guild leaving for a top 50 world rank guild). After that, I was guildless for a while. I decided that server wasnt one I wanted to be on anymore, as most of the people were complete fools and talked like them too. So I transferred once again.
There, I joined my current guild Necrotic. I was in guild for 3 months before I realized that I couldn't make the raids they had set up anymore based on my work schedule. So I left in peace to a guild I thought would be a much better fit for me. After about a week, I realized that I wasn't a big fan of some of the people in the guild. I stayed in the guild regardless until they stopped being able to fill raids about a month after being in the guild. I realized then, I shouldn't choose the guild I want based on their raiding status, I should choose it based on what I like about the guild. So, I moved my characters back to Necrotic. Only after being back in Necrotic for a week, I was told that the GM has more or less stopped playing, 3 officers left the guild, 5 other main raiders have also left for other places. So in turn, the guild is falling apart.
I am tired of being in guilds that are falling apart, and I realize that I do not need to raid to be happy with playing. I had that in DF previously, and am looking for it again. See it how you will, that is my story.
