I like some mods, but I haven't used many of them. I have the General ones, Grid, Atlas loot, DBM and a gather type. I'm sure I need to improve, but this is pretty much all I've done in the 4 years since playing...

As stated previously, I am a mom of 2 children (Kaylie 4yo and Wyatt 2yo) and have a Husband who is in the US Navy. I myself was in the Navy for 8 years and decided to leave after Kaylie came along. I started playing WoW when Brad(myhusband) left for a new duty station in Cali (i was in FL at the time) and I still had a year left on my enlistment. It was out in Cali that Brad started playing WoW and as a joke, I joined up just to surprise him... well, the joke was on me and I got hooked on the game lol. Brad and I both enjoy playing, and even though I may jump on during the day, any consistant playing isn't until after the kids go to bed. I'm a stay-at-home mom at the moment and currently live in San Diego.

Hello. I just wanted to point out that with 4.0 hitting and all the changes being made, I personally can't find anything worth while saying what the best gem/reforging choices are atm. IMO, I'd reforge all spirit into hit. Once you've reached hit cap (which is extremely high) go with what you think is best.

I've recently just got back in game myself, and I'm going to play around on the target dummies when I have time. I think for fire, I'm going to try and get around 67-68% crit fully raid buffed. Slightly higher then pre 4.0, but now that Living Bomb doesn't proc hotstreak, I've already noticed a lack of procs just on dummies in IF. After I hit that mark, I'll probable reforge some stuff for a little bit more haste. Mastery just doesn't seem worth it atm since you can't gem it and there really isn't that much you can get from gear.

Arcane........... All I know is haste. I don't know for sure how great Mastery is for Arcane (can't find any base numbers for it DPS wise), but one could assume that you still want to stack haste over crit. All about getting more Arcane Blasts off. Also, something to note is that mana shouldn't really be an issue atm. Almost everyone's DPS shot up alot with the recent hot fixes to melee and what not, so boss fights should be much shorter, leaning to less mana consumed overall on a fight simply becasue you can't get as many casts off. Just something to keep in mind.

NOTE!!!!! This is just my personal opinion atm. I'm sure Crawfeesh could tell you more about his experience with arcane since I haven't actually had the chance to play with it any. Just remember that the most important thing is to be hit capped.

Just a few things I wanted to point out about adds. Awesome that you have DBM and Grid. Also Skada is a very nice addon. Much more cleaner and easier to use then Violation and some of the other 'meter' addons.

We do ask our apps to download our raid addon pack located on our homepage. Lots of neat addons in there. You may have to sort through a remove the ones you already have like DBM and Grid. There is also Omen Threat Meter in there which is an essential for mages all raiders.

Some other things I might suggest is to remove Blizzard party frames. I believe you can turn them off in the interface menu, it'll clear up a little bit of the clutter on your screen. Grid tells you everything you need to know about your party anyway.

A nice button addon is Bartender 4. Pretty much does anything you could think of doing to your buttons in a very simplistic way, but be prepared to spend some time figuring out how you wana set up ur bars once you download it.

Shadowed Unit Frames is another simplistic, but rather nice looking addon that can adjust you player, target, focus target, etc. frames.

MageNuggets is an EXTREMELY AWESOME addon for mages. At one time our raid had 4 mages and all 4 of us were using it.

Also, if you do decide to get some of these addons, it is highly recommended that you get something to put all of these addon icons on, to clear the clutter off of you minimap. I personally use Titan Panel, because it comes with alot of nifty little things with it. There are a few other ones, I think Chocolate Bar is still being used by several people. also, if you pick up titanpanel or the like, get broker_portals as well. creates a nice little drop down menu for all mage teleports and portals.

All of these addons can be downloaded and kept up to date with Curse Client.

Anyway, the Raid Addon Pack is very nice to have if you do raid with us, but the rest of it was just to give you ideas of addons if you decide to use them. If you have any questions about any of them, get up with me in game on my mage Alprazalam or my Priest Privilege.

You don't really need to download omen if you have skada. Just open up a new window and open it up to threat. Same thing as omen just without adding an extra addon. I also use bartender4 and love it but thats up to you.

I will have to admit that Kish got me on this one. I had forgotten that Skada had a threat meter built into it. I personally prefer omen because of the way I have my UI setup.

Hello fellow mage.

Few things I want to point out really quickly about your app. You are stating that the main days you can raid is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Both of our 25 mans run during the week days.

I see Grid which is a plus, but no decurse mouse-over macro or other addon for decursing. For HM Death Whisper, everyone that can Decurse has to Decurse.

Do as Crawfeesh says, get RAWR. I'm also pretty sure that fire will be higher DPS for you if you can find away to get your hit rating right. Keep in mind that I am NOT talking about frostfire, but fire ball spec. 18/51/0. I purposefully left out 2 points cause they can kind of go wherever. I normally go 2/2 flame throwing but thats just my preference.

Blue socket in your belt should be a Spell Power & Spirit gem. Gem in bracers and neck should be Spell Power and haste gem. Chest should have a SP&haste and a SP&Spirit gem. Cloak should have a SP&Spirit gem in it. These suggestions are to obtain the socket bonuses which are worthe it. HOWEVER, if you do not believe me and you download RAWR, it will give u the numbers.

BTW, forgot to mention this.

BTW, forgot to mention this. In game, type /join dfrecruit that is our recruitment channel we use to talk to apps and what not. Our Raid Officers also use it to find fill ins for the night and such as well.

Raiding

Thank you for responding to my app. :) When I said I could raid on the weekends, I pretty much mean that those are the days that I could consistantly dedicate to raiding week after week. There are just to many things going on with the family during the week that I can't say "Yes, I'll be there". That being said, it doesn't mean I WON'T raid on a weeknight. If I'm on during a raid night and you need me or if you know someone is going on vacation and won't be there, just ask me and I'll do what I can to Fill-in. Ya know, I'll be a bench warmer so to speak lol. I'd like to raid, but family prevents me from having a consistant routine where I could fit it in... and I really wouldn't have it any other way. So if you guys can squeeze me in from time to time, that would be great ;) At the very least, even if I never get to raid, I'd like meet new people, talk shop with the mages to improve my abilities, and have some fun. Thanks again! :)

Wow...I must say....you've improved a VAST amount since the last time I saw you XD. If you haven't already, DL and install RAWR. It will help you decide what Gear/Gems to get/use.

Gear: Change your Necklace gem to a Reckless Ametrine, your cape gem to a Runed Cardinal Ruby, your chest gems to Runed/Reckless/Purified, your glove gem to Runed Cardinal Ruby, your belt to Purified/Runed/Runed, your pants to Purified/Reckless, your ring (ring of rapid ascent) to a Runed Cardinal Ruby, and your bracer gem to a Runed Cardinal Ruby (RAWR may not tell you to do this until you change your other gems).

Spec: Personally I would take 1 point out of student of the mind and 1 point out of the frost portion (You have 12 instead of 11). Magic Attunement is unbelievably helpful in pretty much every fight in ICC. The increased range is effin sexy. The 2 points you have left in Arcane are really your discretion. I personally put them into magic absorption for the added resistence and mana, but I can see how a person can benifit from more spirit.

Thanks for remembering me and for the compliment! I really appreciated the advice you gave me last time we talked, I didn't change my haste gems back then because I was lacking in that stat. Since then I have aquired better gear and need to change them, thank you for reminding me. As for the talents, I have been meaning to make some of those changes you've mentioned(I do like the extra spirit though for the crit), so I will. Thanks for the luck and I hope to see you too :)

Someone who knows better would have to speak up, but im pretty sure there are usually ten's run on weekends, just sorta guild-pick-up events, though not always progression.

Aside from that, please send Carne Asada Fries....Im just an App myself, so i have no say in who gets in, but i would LOVE some carne asada fries.
