Seems to have done the research as to how to gear and spec his toon (which isn't hard, but I'm still amazed at the amount of people who don't do it and it really makes me happy that finally a mage apps that does).

grayforge — Tue, 04/12/2011 - 11:29I don't do the really hard stuff: sitting at a target dummy for 4 hours trying every combination of talent spec/gemming/enchanting/etc. and analyzing the logs.
But I do do my research:
Pour over EJ threads, run the optimizer on RAWR 'til my computer overheats and peek at other resources once in a while, like WoW Insider.
I also take a quick glance at my toon's wow-heroes.com page. It's not great for showing good upgrades, but it provides a really nice snapshot of ones gems and enchants.

Funny, the moment I logged onto my new server, I got a guild invite from someone advertising that they (Quatri Mensuram) welcomed alts to their guild. I said I was holding out...

I can not say enough good things about Grayforge..... He is an exceptional
player and Great Friend (I work with him actually).... Downfall would be
a perfect fit for Gray as he loves to raid but also knows how to have fun and
loves helping other people..... He brings a "Falbo" Amount of toons
which he knows how to play ..... He would be a value to our alt runs as well as
other raids and will also be a value to PVP teams I am sure as he learns fast
and is an over achiever (come on guys he is an ex fighter Pilot -- being the best he can be is what he is taught lol).....

Good people, didnt cause any problems ever that i am aware of in or out of raids. And i hear he might be bring a hunter friend along....
