I can see you are trying to stay up to date. Anything knew you want to add as far as new gear, spec changes, availability, in-game haircut?

I like my green hair cut. I have progressed quite far since last reply. I raid with Disrupta every Saturday for past month now and got quite a bit of heroic gear. So its 25 man down now LK and 7/12 hm we do every week. My holy paladin is about 6k gs. I know you dont like gearscore but il post a link below.

yes I dont have 20 intellect in all my slots. Rather get heroic gear and then do it. Still need to find a competent raid group besdies Disrupta that I can go into.

I just uploaded a ICC 10 man heroic screenshot of Saurafang boss encounter. This was at 5900 GS w/o the advised changes. I WON the mark by the way which now allows me to get sanctified shoulder and a sanctified gloves and change my legs to leggings of woven death. I also participated in Blood faiths RS 25 run on my holy paladin and downed Halion.

Im very flexible with the changes. I can put the tuskarr's vitality or greater spirit enchant on the boots. I will also change the helm to purified dreadstone. As for the offhand, Im bidding on the first nibuling or shadow silk spindle that falls in ICC 25.

For the shoulders, I can buy a sanctified shoulders with the vanquisher mark I have. Im waiting until I win one more vanquisher mark from a gkp; then I can upgrade the gloves and change my pants into leggings of woven death.

Screenshot off ICC will come next week however, one thing about me is that survival is more important for me in a raid, especially high end raiding.

Thanks for the tips. I have revised my mage plan and hopefully will get raiding with you soon.

If survivability is what you want in raid, the take 2 points out of Spirit of the Mind and put them into Magic Absorption. Gives an extra 80 resistance to all schools of magic which is a big help in fights like Sindragosa, Marrowgar, Blood Queen, and well... every boss that has raid wide damage. which is all of them in ICC except maybe Saurfang, where you can't get hit by the blood beasts anyway.

Also, Tuskar's Vitality is PURELY a survivability enchant. Yes we have blink, but once its on CD, all we have is our run speed. It's really nice to have on fights like Putricide to kite around the ooze if we get picked after we pop out initial blink.

Survivability is only going to come from your spec in PVE, its just something we clothies have to live with.

BTW, [Nibelung] sucks for Arcane mages. Where shadow priests, Affliction Warlocks, Fire mages, Boomkins, and everyother caster DPS that has numerous DOTs on a boss, Arcane doesn't. Assuming you have a Missile Barrage proc, your are looking at getting 9 spell damaging hits. 4XAB, and 1XMB (5 hits). Take a base of 2 secs per cast for simple math, you're only hitting 9 times in 10 secs. Thats not alot of chances to proc it, considering a Shadow Priest has ~23 or so spell damage hits in 10 secs leading to a much greater proc rate. Don't waste your money on Nibelung if you're going for more Spell Damage.

Your main hand is really good, I wouldn't worry about getting a new weapon until you can get the heroic one or something off of Lich King. Offhand, for the moment change the gem to a SP & haste gem, but yea, Shadow Silk Spindle is amazing.

Another easy upgrade would be [Ring of Rapid Ascent]. However, I wouldn't buy it in a GKP UNLESS it was heroic, because lootship is so easy.

You are WAY over hit cap. As Arcane you only need 7% self buffed to be hit capped (assuming you are getting 1% from dranei in party and 3% from Boomkin/Shadow Priest); however, it is smart to keep alot of hit gear handy incase you aren't getting one of those buffs.

Change the gem in you off hand to SP & haste and the enchant on you boots to Tuskar's Vitality. Pretty much everyone on Elitist Jerks says its more of a DPS increase once you're hit cap for the movement speed increase and extra stam.

You also have a +10 to all stats gem in your helm, which isn't needed. Put a SP & Spirit gem in it or +23 SP gem.

Main thing is get you hit raiting lower by getting better gear. Probable the easiest way to do it is to get your tier ten shoulders, then craft legging of woven death. ALOT of mages don't use the tier ten pants.

Also, just curious as to what spreadsheet you use. If you aren't using one, get RAWR and read the tutorials on how to use it. RAWR is easily found by typing in into google, should be the first hit.
