Tell us a little of your history in WoW.:

I have been playing WoW since Vanilla but I have only been raiding since panda land. I did raid in kara but that was so long ago i hardly remember haha. I have never really been in hardcore guild or raiding team. I have pretty much led a pretty boring WoW life. I did quit during lichking for a while because I thought DK's absolutely ruined the game. I loved Cata because of the difficulty of things like trash pulls and what not. Panda land was fun but didn't start playing until much later after it came out. Started this expansion as soon as it came out and love it. I think its the best one yet.

How do you feel about the state of your class in the game?:

Mistweavers are a solid class. They could use a few buffs for crane stance and maybe fix our mana tea issue but all in all it is a pretty well balanced class. lots of buttons to know and a difficult class to play but i think i have it down. Their ability to survive is actually quite impressive. lots of options to take as far as quick self heals and damage reducing abilities. I really like the fact that I can choose between a physical damage reduction or magical. Both great options.

What led you to our guild and what would you like to accomplish with us?:

Tannis led me to your guild to be honest. He used to raid with me in bloodlinez and we became friends fairly quickly. I want to accomplish getting through raiding content. I worked really hard to get my monk up to a point of being able to raid well but my old guild didn't want to get serious about raiding and thus couldn't really get passed normal BRF. So I want to aspire to be greater in the game and actually finish raiding content to the hardest degree and to do so I had to find a new home for my main and alts.

Which addons do you consider essential and why?:

I consider DBM the only essential addon for raiding because it really helps you learn each boss fight and keeps you aware of each boss's abilities and when those might happen. I like having recount but mainly to help me see where each of my heals are at and how much they are actually healing. I have weak auras for mistweaver but find them intrusive and in the way. It doesn't really help me at all because it just seems to get in the way of me actually seeing whats going on.

What do you like in particular about the UI you are currently using?:

I just have the normal ui because I feel most comfortable with it. I don't need pretty colors for each type of character and I don't need to move all the names to the center just to heal them. I can heal them just fine with green boxes on the left side of my screen. In fact having a different ui really just confuses me more then it helps and I just don't think it is worth the trouble. I am not saying I wouldn't try a new ui for a raid but I don't think it will effect my healing in a positive way.

PvE

Raid Experience:

I raided in panda land but mostly just LFR. This expansion is where most of my raid experience comes from. I have downed 7/7 heroic Highmaul and 8/10 normal BRF/8/10 Heroic BRF. I have experience with normal and heroic blast furnace but have yet to down him in either. I have no experience in normal/heroic blackhand, just done him on LFR. I was the raid leader for the previous guild I was in so I know all the fights pretty well for every class.

Describe Your Playstyle:

my typical rotation on single target is pretty simple, drop statue, soothing mist, surge, envoloping mist, rinse and repeat. AOE is a lot more complicated. I have a few options for aoe heals and it depends on how the raid is positioned. If a group is stacked and is 5 or more people I will rushing jade wind my heart out while casting soothing mist or renewing mist to uplift. If the raid is spread out then its thunder focus tea, throw out 11+ renewing mist depending if my multistrike procs more mists or not, and uplift twice, expel harm, uplift again and then chi burst to hopefully to top everyone off. Once I get my 4 piece you can almost double the amount of uplifting that will happen. So basically it will be like a mini revival haha all in about 10-15 seconds. I have a few short cooldowns I will use like life cacoon and detonate chi. I love detonate chi but it is not always a priority. If i have enough unused to spheres out then i will hit it for a nice little heal. cacoon usually only gets used on "oh crap" moments and I don't think my heals will catch the person in time, mostly the tanks.

What specializations do you have experience with?:

I have every class on gorgonnash to 100 with the exception of a 93 pally, and a 50 something lock. I have extensive experience with my disc/shadow priest who is ilvl 674, I have decent experience with my arcane mage, and I can play my balance druid pretty well.

What are your most and least favorite boss encounters?:

all of highmaul because they are so boring. Gruul is one of my least favorites as well because its so glitchy at times and tanks always seem to have aggro issues and taunting issues with him.

PvP

PvP Experience:

I have a combat rogue that I use to pvp with and love it. I mostly arena with him but do bg's every once in a while. I do play my disc priest in bg's and arenas but need a lot more gear for him to be any good.

Is PvP your primary focus?:

No, pve is my primary focus.

Tell us a little about yourself.:

I am a disabled combat vet that was graciously let out on honorable conditions instead of medical. I work on a summer camp now and I am currently working on finishing a psychology degree as well as a minor in Christian ministry. I disc golf a lot and aspire to become pro because it is a great passion of mine. I am married with one kid (2 year old daughter). My job has me on call all of the time but I rarely have to go in and work. Which means there is a chance I could get called in during a raid but since the raids are later in the evening for me the chances are very low. In fact in my old guild we raided Tu, Th, and Sun 9-12 server and I never got called in during a raid since the expansion came out. Thank you for your time.
