Thanks for the chance at the 25 man last night, I think I need a lot more practice in the 10 man icc runs before I do any 25 man stuff. Last night was only my second time stepping in the door... but it was fun nonetheless, despite being pancaked hahaha.

It's time to be torn apart since this is one of the only times we will get to do so.

1. Helm: Wrong Meta. Should be relentless earthsiege diamond as it is easier to meet the requirements and it is a was in a raid setting. Also why didn't you get the tier helm or attempt to get the ony helm. Please explain? NO* Helm enchant. Still Neutral with the Ebon Blade

2. Neck: Until you drop your hit by another 140ish you might want to look into an agi/stam/ap/crit/haste neck if possible. You are massively over hit cap atm

3. Shoulders: Again why did you decide to forgo the set shoulders in favor of that piece of badge loot. Also prolly want a 20 str gem instead of a 10 str/10 crit gem. NO* shoulder enchant. You haven't even unlocked the Sons of Hodir enchant yet

4. Good cape choice if you believe you won't be in ICC anytime soon.

5. Chest: Dump the 10 str/15 stam gem in favor of a 10 stats gem

6. Bracers: Nothing really to say atm. You MIGHT* consider the 245 craftable dps bracers even though they have armor pen since you need to lose hit somewhere.

7. Gloves: Good for now, prolly hold off on your tier piece here atm as your tier has hit on it which you already have too much of.

8. Belt: another good place where you could use a replacement. Consider crafting belt of the titans for 2 extra gem slots and some much needed expertise.

9. Legs: Once you change metas you will no longer need that 8 str/12 stam gem and can replace it with a 20 str gem. Also recommend the teir legs here for their much needed expertise boost.

10. Boots: Decent choice, once again the Ulduar crafted ones are better for you simply because they have haste instead of arp.

11. Both rings are fine, the hit on that ring is some you need to keep anyway.

12. Trinkets: Try to replace mark of supremacy with Darkmoon Card: Greatness as it will last you awhile. It would also solve MOST of your hit problems atm allowing you to look for better options (Like the tier gloves).

13. Weapon: Excellent Choice.

14. Libram: After you get 2p t10 make a mad dash for the frost badge libram.

15. Professions: Consider using the money from your 2 gathering professions to store up mats and change to at least 1 actual crafting profession for a decent dps boost. Good choices are Engineering, Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting.

16. Glyphs: Keep Consecration, dump Divine Storm for Judgement and dump Crusader Strike for Seal of Vengeance. Minor glyphs get Blessing of Might, Lay on Hands and Sense Undead.

17. Talents:

Get rid of divine purpose and get imp blessing of might instead. Divine Purpose will not get you much of anything in a raid setting.

in fact just use this spec. The reason we chose aura mastery over divine sacrifice is that it does not cause damage to you and can be used off the global cooldown. Also the 3 points in divine intellect are optional and can be put anywhere in those first 2 tiers of holy that are open. 

Conclusion/TL;DR:

Apping as a friend you are already nicely in the door and boobs do help in some ways with your app. However if you are apping with the hopes of becoming a raider under your own power you have a long way to go yet.

If you fancy a quick invite, have thin skin, or like purps over people then don't waste your time reading what follows, just press on now.  If you are a skilled player, or even a player in need of a little molding, and you have time to dedicate to dead bosses, and to a community of people that do more together then play a video game, then here's a few things for you.

Recruitment Process

Step 1 Application : Well you've already completed this step by taking the time to complete our lengthy application.  Some think it's silly, we have documented proof that it easily weeds out the douchebags before wasting too much of our time.

Step 2 Who are you? : Type /join dfrecruit in game.  This will put you in our global chat channel for recruits.  You'll find lots of Downfall members in that channel often shouting for people for random heroics.  This will get your name out there, let people get to know you.  The more people you get to know, the more people will begin to comment on your application, and thus keep it "alive"

Until you start to get comments from those who excel in your class, or those who have nice/not so nice things to say about you as they get to know you, it's up to YOU to keep your application active, it's not just a matter of posting and never coming back, we are a website oriented guild, get used to using it.

Step 3 Raid Tryouts :  Raid : mAlt opens up slots for raid performance tests.  We parse these events and can see you in action before we bring you into a 25 man progession raid.  For more info on mAlt and raid times/sign ups: /raidgroup/malt

Step 4 Be There : Be online during 25 man progression raid times, its even better if you're on from start to finish, since people will DC mid raid.  If you're apping to raid, it's a long and grueling process.  We DO need consistant skilled players for both 25 man raids, and you're not the only person trying to get that spot.  What we like to see is our apps posting on the raid events that they are available to fill in on a given night.  Then if you've posted that you're going to be on that night, make sure to shout our a reminder in dfrecruit just as raid is about to start just to let us know you're on. It may be weeks, it may be months before you see action, but you may end up with a spot the first time you join the recruit channel. 

We have TWO 25 man progression raids:
Raid : Kitten Brigade /raidgroup/kitten-brigade   Mon - Wed 6:30 - 10:00
Raid : Salmon /raidgroup/salmon   Tue - Thu  6:00 - 9:00

Well that's what you can expect for the next few weeks/months.  We've had applicants that have waited over 3 months for an invite, we've invited people within a few days, every situation is different. So get you're name out there, get some comments, and good luck to you!
