Which addons do you consider essential and why?:

I have way too many of them :) I got grid for healing, and now use it for all my toons as just an easy way to select people. I have things that warn me when soul stones fall off, buffs get rebuffed, CD's on rebirths and Heroism, Mana tide totem, innervate, pretty much anything useful. Recount and omen, although i really feel that the ingame version of Omen works just fine. Bar mods, minimap mods, buff mods. Oh, and Gearscore, cause, you know, how else would i know how much i pwn?

PvE

Raid Experience:

On my mage, i have done all the of ToC 10/25, all of ICC 10 without having killed LK. 25's i have experience on every boss except LK. Also some Naxx/Maly/ulduar experience but my Druid was my main when those were relevant.

On my other toons....

My priest has experience limited mostly to ICC, but has the LK kill.

In BC i DPS'd and Healed Kara (hunter/druid) Through to the end boss, including the optional dragon bosses. I also downed Magtheradin(Spelling?) on my hunter and healed the first half or so of Zul'aman and SSC.

In Wrath i have healed every boss in 10's on my druid except Alagon. Never killed Yogg. In 25's i have healed every boss except Yogg and Sindi/LK.

On my druid when we are 2-man/4-manning content i often do a lot of the tank healing. If we are running a fully healers raid then im am generally only raid heals. My priest is a tank healer with a shadow spec, though i will be changing her around a little for hard modes.

im generally a very happy person. I work nights at walmart and enjoy my job although lately things have been getting ridiculous. i smoke, drink occasionally, dont do drugs though i dont see anything wrong with some of them, weed and shrooms basically. I like to have a good time, and to me, thats more important then any boss kill.

So I got back and plugged you into RAWR with the gear thats on the armory. You are 9 points away from hit cap, can be fixed with a gem. Fully raid buffed you have 66.68% chance to crit, which is perfect for fire. I actually have been seeing that after around 65% to crit, haste becomes a more viable DPS stat.

Enchants are right, but I can't figure out exactly where you are going with your gems. Please elaborate on them.

Rotation wise, there was a big debate the last time I looked on EJ about Pyro before or after Living Bomb. For myself, I chose to do Hotstreak>Living Bomb>FB rotation (leaving Scorch out because we have a lock that brings the 5% crit). I noticed that I was wasting alot of hotstreak procs on a Saurfang kill one night because I would have a proc, LB explosion would crit and the last FB would crit, and before I could use the first Hotstreak, I'd gain a second one. So instead of having 2 pyros, I only had one. Seeing how little overall damage LB does after going over parses, I chose the 2 pyros.

I try to use my hotstreak before it proccs again, which is rng i know but it happens more often at certain times. Like i know my living bomb explosion generally proccs one, and scorch when i need to generally proccs one, so before both of those events i will blow my hotstreak.

As to my Gems it is my understanding that crit=sp>haste, but i was unaware of a soft crit cap at 65%.

Hit cap is something you could help me with. I until recently had +12crit/hit on my boots, but Rawr was telling me i was 41 points over hit, so i switched it out for the tuskarrs survivability. Now rawr tells me i am 34 points under, but i have changed no other gear and so the huge swing when it should have only been 12 points has me confused.

With RAWR, you have to make sure you go under buffs and make sure Heroic Presence is turned on EVERY time you open and close it. Heroic Presence is the 1% to hit from having a dranei in your group, and probable the 1% difference me and you are getting.

Over looked it before, but put Black Magic on your weapon. Also, take out the +10 to all stats gem in your chest. Blue sockets will almost always be Spell Power and Spirit gems.

i have 63 spell power on my dagger and black magic on my nibelung. it was my understanding that the haste buff from black magic gives me more chances to procc Valk's(more cast equal more spell damages) but that on an overall fight without a proc weapon the static 63 sp was superior. I will change that right away, but if you have the math or near around what page of the EJ forums that is on that would be great. I like to know the why when possible in everything i do in life, not just the what, sort of an OCD trait i picked up from family. Helps if and when i explain to other people why they should go one way or another also. Makiing all these changes now, and hopefully by tomorrow i will have my toon transferred over to Downfalls server.

I have no idea where its at on EJ that BM is better on a sword/dagger then 63 SP; HOWEVER, I tell you how to make RAWR show you. When you are looking at RAWR, the graphed portion that takes the whole right side of the window. Look to the top left of that and click "Slot: Gear". This is where I spend all of my days, searching different things on this drop down box. If you click enchants, then click to the box immediately to the right of the first box you click (should say Enchants now) and select "Main Hand" it'll instantly compare all the enchants for that type of weapon.

For your weapon, I'm showing BM = 159 DPS, where 63 SP is only 144 DPS.

I also have noticed that if you have a Staff equipped, the 81 SP to Staff is BIS enchant.

I cant see if its taking into account whether or not the weapon has a proc on damage effect though, which was why BM was supposedly better on NIbelung. I dont use my Nibelung currently cause it drops me.

And Rawr is showing me exactly what you said, i can start trading crit out for haste for a DPS increase.

Another thing you may want to consider when getting more gear, the tier ten pants are the weakest part of our tier. Seeing that you already have them, I'm only praying that you got them out of VOA and didn't spend badges on them. Alot of fire mages go for [Plaguebringer's Stained Pants] because they are BIS the last time I check.

If I were you, I'd still go for 4 piece with legs until I could the the ones I linked. I'd try to get helm first, its about 490 more DPS, where your shoulders are only going to give you around 440-450 more DPS.

im looking at getting my helm after my next ICC run. Im trying to get the pants off of festergut, but i will also upgrade the ones i have already if i can get a mark. The difference between the two is 8dps at the 264 level. At the 277 level Plague Bringer pulls far ahead. My wand and trinket also are in need of upgrading, but its just a matter of getting things to drop for me. I seem to have pretty terrible luck on this toon with drops. I had a 219 weapon 4 months into ICC.

Im willing to contribute any and all help if someone needs some advice or wants to work on tweaking a rotation or fixing gear. What im not willing to do is be THE person that people get sent to to fix their toons. I had to deal with a lot of hunters in BC, and its gets really aggrivating to try and walk someone through step by step how to do something, and then they dont even make an attempt to follow instructions. Im not saying im a great teacher and they just failed, its possible im a shitty teacher. I know i learn and understand things differently then most people. I get all into trying to be helpful. For example, i was just now in Dal for almost an hour helping another mage get his hit rating right and helping him with his rotation as a fire mage since he just switched. I have no problem with that, he payed attention and actually put into practice what we discussed. I do have a problem with the same person coming to me with the same question over and over again while not seeming to actually try and put it into practice. I hate and wont tell someone "go check elitist jerks, everything you need is there" because the information is generally buried in 3 years of arguing and if they havent been staying on top of it, they need to get up to date before going there. I will however expect people to know fights and strategies before we get to the boss. Some explanation is usually needed for a persons first time or two, since often strategies differ in little ways, but the general knowledge of the fight needs to be there.

Part of posting your screen shot is to not only show your mods / UI set up but also allows DF members to get an idea of your keybinding etc.......
