Zero Activity
YeffreKix — Tue, 07/13/2010 - 18:55Thanks for everything guys. I play this game to relax and have fun. Of course progression is necessary to fight boredom.
If you want to be negative or rude, I have no use for you. I have been on spamming recruit chat for groups and have never received a reply.
When I was raiding, I was always a top performer on the DPS charts. I was learning new content so did make some mistakes, but I learned and improved every week.
Zero activity is a good description, because that's what I'm getting out of the guild...zero.
If your getting zero activity
Grasen — Wed, 07/14/2010 - 16:05If your getting zero activity out of the guild then your going about it wrong, Website is a huge part of who we are btw.
I'm still looking for 10/25
YeffreKix — Mon, 07/19/2010 - 19:47I'm still looking for 10/25 raid groups. I spam for groups regularly on dfrecruit, and as of yet have never received a reply. I still want to run 10/25 icc and feel like I have a lot to contribute. I do get tired of begging to be in a group and extended wait times. I feel like "sure we'll take you, as long as no one else gets here" I've even been told,"we don't wanna continue with inexperienced raiders" so the group doesn't even try. At worst a monday failed raid is a learning experience and opportunity for critique and improvement. Tuesday is reset anyway so nothing is lost.
You spammed for a 25 man
Ghli — Mon, 07/19/2010 - 23:22You spammed for a 25 man group, at nearly 8pm today, a time that we have 1 raid running, that started invites between 6:15-6:30p. We generally do not have 10 mans running between 6-10p M-Th unless it's an off night for each of the raids, or just purely with pugged people not in those 25 mans.
On the other hand, you had a good, oh, 2 1/2 months to go do the suggestions Grasen asked you to do. You did only roughly 1/2 of what he suggested: "lets drop the 5 pts in imp hawk and the 3 in hawk eye", "1 in go for the throat in the marks tree", and "3 in trap mastery," You did not drop "one from expose weakness" or take "3 (points) in noxious stings." Can you explain why you have not done the other 1/2 of what you have been suggested to do?
Both 25mans are pushing for
Sargus — Mon, 07/19/2010 - 23:36Both 25mans are pushing for hardmodes that demand everyone to be the very best they can be. If tweaking your spec gives you more dps, then why are you not tweaking your spec? You not putting the effort in to even check our raid times tells us that you will not put the effort in to being a decent player during raids, or squezzing the most dps possible out of your character.
I understand your
cromi — Mon, 07/19/2010 - 20:11I understand your frustration, You have to realize that getting into a raid is both difficult and easy. How have you been waiting for raids. Do you get on dfrecruit during kb or salmon and say, "hey guys, I'm here if you need me." Do you post on the website raids saying, "hey if you need me tonight, I'm here." Have you checked out Malt or any of the other raids that go on? Maybe I'm hopelessly naive to the situation but do you actually put yourself into situations that allow for an invitations, using all open lines of communication?
Keep in mind, spamming
Derchlon — Mon, 07/19/2010 - 23:08Keep in mind, spamming DFrecruit to get into a main raid is not the best way to get a slot.
How many heroics have you tried to run with our guildies in DFrecruit?
Have you whispered raid officers prior to raid time to let them know you can fill in?
Signing up for a raid on the website is another step that raid leaders use to look for fill ins. Also, note that sometimes regardless of how available you make yourself there can be road blocks. If all the regulars show up for a couple weeks straight you will find yourself with no opportunity for a 10 or 25. Heroics and Raid: Poker Face are great places to go for face time with our guildies. Look around the site, find the events you can attend and sign up for them. Even if there is no gear you want from the instance, we get to see you in action and interact with you.

When I say zero activity,
Onrique — Tue, 07/13/2010 - 20:09When I say zero activity, it's because you havent posted anything here until this point. I don't recall you whispering any officers asking about a need for you. When it's nearly 2 months since we hear from you, I tend to think you have moved on, as many people run out of patience from waiting too long.
If you would like, i can reopen this application, or you can consider this bridge burnt and move on.

Onrique — Thu, 07/08/2010 - 23:00As it's been over a month and a half since your last post, I suggest you show us a little activity with your application. Where've ya been? Any notable upgrades? As my pops would say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Squeak for us!
Helped out in ICC 10 late
Katzeus — Wed, 05/19/2010 - 00:46Helped out in ICC 10 late night tonight. Did his job well and got a couple pieces (upgrades?). I don't know much about hunters but he looked alright to me on the dps meter.
Overall DPS for this evening.
Katzeus — Wed, 05/19/2010 - 00:50Overall DPS for this evening. One of our pro hunters can look it over and make sense of it...

You need to go over fight
Ghli — Wed, 05/19/2010 - 07:43You need to go over fight mechanics on every boss. Didn't dps down bone spikes (I did 122821 damage to spikes, you did 5956). You ran away from gas spores when we were supposed to be grouped up on them. Volley was used on Deathwhisperer, Saurfang (blood beasts are immune to 95% of AoE attacks if you didn't know), and Professor when there was absolutlly no need to use them at all. Misdirection was used only once, while i used it 10 times. Rapid fire could use some work on being used.
Thanks for the pointers Ghil.
YeffreKix — Sat, 05/22/2010 - 08:21Thanks for the pointers Ghil. I'm still learning the subtleties of ICC and I appreciate your help improving my play. I know just doing good DPS isn't enough, and will work on improving my overall performance.
tell me what your goin for in
Grasen — Tue, 05/04/2010 - 16:08tell me what your goin for in your gemming there,i;d like to hear why you have gemmed as you have as i find some choices questionable. switch that boot enchant to a agi one. do you have any gear banked that you could use to shed some of that hit rating?
on to spec, theres some flaws in what your runnin but easially fixed.
lets drop the 5 pts in imp hawk and the 3 in hawk eye, and one from expose weekness, 2 pts in this tallent is plenty enough to keep it active.
with those you need 1 in go for the throat in the marks tree
3 in trap mastery, the bonus for black arrow is pretty good.
3 in noxious stings,3% for 3 pts is pretty good.
and the rest in resourcefulness,
Thanks Grasen
YeffreKix — Tue, 05/04/2010 - 18:08I got my build off of elitest jerks when I switched over from Marksmen I'll make the adjustments you suggested, as I feel something is missing in my dps overall. I'd love to get more gear without the hit, but blizz seems set on hit for everything, I realize I'm well over hit cap.
Thanks for your input!
It's been almost been 2
Ghli — Mon, 05/17/2010 - 19:00It's been almost been 2 weeks, and you haven't changed any of your gems. Care you explain why you haven't changed them, or explain why you gemmed this way?
I have changed some of the
YeffreKix — Mon, 05/17/2010 - 21:55I have changed some of the gems in my gear. I was more interested in keeping socket bonuses before, but now I am concentrating on agility. If you have any specific suggestions I'd be glad to hear them.

Grasen — Tue, 07/20/2010 - 14:58change the blue gem in your bracers to a 10 all stats, you did right to keep the helm socket bonus in my opionion, the gloves are iffy, if your gonna keep it make it a 10 agi 10 crit instead of straight crit, i donno that i would keep that one myself.
spec sitill needs some tweaking, i;'d still take 1 from expose weekness and 1 from hunting party to fill out noxious stings,
I saw above a mention about spamming for raid at 8pm, our raids start at either 6 for salmon or 6:30 for KB. if you want a shot at one of those raids you need to be online 15-20 min in advance of start times and be patient while the raid leaders set their rosters for the night and see what spots they have. If oyu show up late then those spots are oing to be filled. Let the raid leader know you are on and ready and wait. you may not git an invite the first week or even second, but we do take note of those who are there and ready at the start of every raid and persistance and patience both pay off here.
I really wanna see a parse from you. i'm wondering how your shot rotation is and how it will play out in the numbers.
which pet do you use for pve?

Pelana — Tue, 05/04/2010 - 16:21More importantly, I noticed your pet in the UI screenshot is not
totally happy... You're not a pet abuser are you? Given all of our
druids, we take the health of our animals very seriously. Have you done the D.E.T.A questline?
Pet Happiness
YeffreKix — Tue, 05/04/2010 - 18:15LOL...
I always make sure my pet stays happy when raiding. You know how they get when you spend too much time in the city. He's anxious to get out there and sink his teeth into bad guys, not hang around Ironforge.

Hello sir or madam, and
Aidin — Tue, 05/04/2010 - 15:48Hello sir or madam, and welcome to the Downfall recruitment process. If you fancy a quick invite, have thin skin, or like purps over people then don't waste your time reading what follows, just press on now. If you are a skilled player, or even a player in need of a little molding, and you have time to dedicate to dead bosses, and to a community of people that do more together then play a video game, then here's a few things for you.
Recruitment Process
Step 1 Application : Well you've already completed this step by taking the time to complete our lengthy application. Some think it's silly, we have documented proof that it easily weeds out the douchebags before wasting too much of our time.
Step 2 Who are you? : Type /join dfrecruit in game. This will put you in our global chat channel for recruits. You'll find lots of Downfall members in that channel often shouting for people for random heroics. This will get your name out there, let people get to know you. The more people you get to know, the more people will begin to comment on your application, and thus keep it "alive"
Until you start to get comments from those who excel in your class, or those who have nice/not so nice things to say about you as they get to know you, it's up to YOU to keep your application active, it's not just a matter of posting and never coming back, we are a website oriented guild, get used to using it.
Step 3 Raid Tryouts : Raid : mAlt opens up 3 slots each Sunday for raid performance tests. We parse these events and can see you in action before we bring you into a 25 man progession raid. For more info on mAlt and raid times/sign ups: /raidgroup/malt
Step 4 Be There : Be online during 25 man progression raid times, its even better if you're on from start to finish, since people will DC mid raid. If you're apping to raid, it's a long and grueling process. We DO need consistant skilled players for both 25 man raids, and you're not the only person trying to get that spot. What we like to see is our apps posting on the raid events that they are available to fill in on a given night. Then if you've posted that you're going to be on that night, make sure to shout our a reminder in dfrecruit just as raid is about to start just to let us know you're on. It may be weeks, it may be months before you see action, but you may end up with a spot the first time you join the recruit channel.
We have TWO 25 man progression raids:
Raid : Kitten Brigade /raidgroup/kitten-brigade Mon - Wed 6:30 - 10:00
Raid : Salmon /raidgroup/salmon Tue - Thu 6:00 - 9:00
Well that's what you can expect for the next few weeks/months. We've had applicants that have waited over 3 months for an invite, we've invited people within a few days, every situation is different. So get you're name out there, get some comments, and good luck to you!
ohh i miss aidin ;( lol

Thanks Aidin
YeffreKix — Tue, 05/04/2010 - 18:20I will be on whenever possible for a standby position. I appreciate your candor, and the quick response as well. Look forward to running with everyone when the time arises.
