Yea, when I tried to edit my app post a while back, there was the option to keep the app open or close it, I almost closed it thinking it was the same as saving it, fortunately I asked someone first :o

As I was reading through your application, I was, at first, thinking that it looked pretty good. Then I noticed some things that concerned me.

I'd like to see you defend the above statement. First, I'll openly go on the record and say that dbm is almost the LEAST important mod I have while raiding--mostly it just tells me if I'm standing in fire and need to run away which I can usually tell by the screen effects and looking at my character anyway.

Without mods, how do you keep a high uptime on your dots, if, as you state, you play as affliction? How do you know when to recast haunt? Have any parses that you can show us that demonstrate that you've got a way to master this without mods?

On a fight like BQL how do you keep track who's been bitten and who is free to receive a bite? I use grid for this (and many, many other things).

Frankly, how much dps you currently pump out sounds ok, but not if you're capable of 2-3k more with mods. So, tell me about your rationale.

Another thing that causes me concern is your answer to the "what do you hope to get out of Downfall membership?" Your answer: "A DFO OMFG." It's always a bit of a red flag to folks around here when people answer this question with a piece of loot that they want. Yes, the [Dislodged Foreign Object] is a nice trinket and I love mine. However, if you want into DF you're going to have to do better than that. Will you g-quit if you get a DFO? Your answer seems to indicate that you might, and frankly, we don't want you if that's your intention. I'll let someone else fill you in on the community / family thing first and raiding guild second.

Point 3. You use DBM AND die to yeti charge? Given that the one mod you use isn't helping you to stay alive, you might as well go modless. ;)

Re: Saurfang. You know that making sure you have shadow embrace, etc. up on Saurfang is FAR less important than making sure ads die fast, right?

Gear/gems/affliction spec look pretty much on the mark. Your demo spec is messed up, but I'm assuming it's not much of a raid spec for you, so we'll just leave that be for now. If you have questions about why I think it's messed up, I'd be happy to comment, just ask.

Again, I'd love to see some parses.

First and foremost,and i feel that this is really important,id like to assure you that i am no lootwhore or a ninja.I mentioned that trinket on my app because Badpr keeps rubbing hers on my nose and i understand now how it looks and think maybe i really should take certain things seriously.

Second,

how do i maintain high DOT uptime without mods?u mean u dont stare at debuffs when u raid?its what i do and thats the reason DBM is crucial to me.i know how silly that sounds but ive tried DOTtimers and i feel its not accurate for me given my connection?asians get this annoying delay on spellcasting but that being said,i feel i am experianced enough to know when to and when not to refresh DOTs.i know enough to know wild magic pots+nmic stacks and EA refreshes do not check for crit.if u feel the need to see me dps i could get me on a dummy sometime and id show u

on the BQL fight

i stated that i only had 10m exp with that and on 10m its really easy to keep track of it plus there's vent.and u have 2 mins to figure out who u want to bite.i am sure its alot more tougher in 25m but ive never exp that fight and will gladly make the required changes.

on the Demo spec,

there was this point in my 10m raid when we werent progressing at all and morale was down.wiping countless times on Rotface.i came up with that Demo spec specially for Keleseth tanking cause i was sick of wiping and just wanted us to progress.

and yes i know Blood Beasts need to die fast.

Stares at boss debuffs and dies to stupid things.. sounds like healers who stare at grid and die to stupid things. While I agree with you DBM (and other boss mods) are kind of over-rated, not having dot timers just seems kind of dumb, mainly just for the reason you gave as "delay". I dont know you, I havent seen you play or your parses.. but I'd willing to guess you could increase your dps a little had you have proper dot timers.. Forte warlock.. you dont even need to stare at it.. just wait for it to start blinking and then its time to recast so there is no downtime.

Those are only my suggestions.. but from the sounds of it, you need to worry more about tunnel vision and reaction time then mods.

Sounds like the DFO thing was an inside joke. I'm willing to move on after I make one last point. It sounds like you have friends in guild who I know, trust, and like; however, we have a big guild, and knowing 5 or 10 folks means that you know a relatively small percentage of us. Given that your app is our opportunity to, you know, get to know you, it makes sense that you would want to take it seriously.

Re: staring at debuffs. No. I don't stare at debuffs. In fact, I don't even have the boss debuff frame turned on. I track everything I need to know (i.e. my dots, debuffs, auras, and cooldowns) using DoTimer. It's what works for me. I trust that your damage is good, folks seem to attest to that--the question I have is whether it is as good as it could be. I admit I don't know much about latency in Asia, so you may be on to the best way to keep track of your dots / debuffs / CDs / etc. So, I don't need to see you on a dummy. If you ever get ahold of a world of logs parse of even the first wing of ICC, though, that'd be nice.

One mod you might want to check out re: spellcasting delay would be quartz which helps to show how to manage latency during spellcasting.

If you don't care about your demo spec and don't play it, I don't see much reason why it should matter. If you ever want to talk demo, I'm more than happy to do so.

Don't worry! His demo spec was something he put together a looong time ago for princes ranged tanking. By now it's probably not important to have but atleast he's taken his role seriously enough to devote his offspec to being a better tank (I know he'd rather be destro) :\

With that said, I've been raiding with Mydget for almost as long as I've been playing WoW, the guy never lets me down at all. He really isn't all about raiding and mad purpl lewtz, hes a great friend to have and always down to help out with heroics/nooby raids whenever he can.

Also, he makes a very delicious gnomish bite target on BQL for me. *licks lips*

I know Mydget from raiding 10 man ICC with him weekly and I know he is a reliable and also a smart player he does die to stupid things and really knows his stuff, he also takes time out to learn the boss fights and puts out a high amount of dps. Hes a good friend and great fun to play the game with :D
