Just wanted to thank Kitten Brigade for having me last night! I thought I did well having never experienced any of the bosses we took on. Made plenty of attempts on blood council but never downed. I was more concerned with survival and strategy so let me apologize for my less than impressive numbers. xD

Wow! I just looked over his armory again and he's made alot of progress. He's gotten epic gems, done what i've told him with most of the enchants and has finished all the rep grinds he needs. This might suck to hear but your nightmare tear could be in a better place ( the chest) and str/ haste gems should be in all the yellows. I can see hes trying hard and we should defiantly keep looking into this app. Just curious, how have the addons I suggested to you worked out? like em or no?

The NeedtoKnow is awesome! Definitely helps me know when to let loose the gargoyle and has opened my eyes on the buffs that proc that I never see. Glad to hear you're keeping up with my progress...appreciate the complements. Still working on the trinket issue and I need a new weapon bad! My dps is hurting bad without a new one. Trying to get bryntroll...got the gems already set aside for it. Anytime you guys are willing to pick me up I'm game! I did run with Onrique last wednesday for the Prof. Put. Heroic attempts. Loved it!

I was a lil worried about having his first boss be one of the hardest hard-mode bosses in ICC rofl.

He's extremely active and well he would benifit mostly just being present in our raids. Thats the quickest way he can get frost emblems for his tier gear.

I don't think he will mind having to re-do his gems. He maxed out his JC.

Keep the comments coming peoples. I know Sargus cant be the only knowledgable DK in DF!!!

I love this game and I play quite often! I'm striving to be the best Unholy DK. Look out Sargus...lol. It'll keep us on our toes! I have made the adjustments Sargus recommended and they worked beautifully. I look forward to more of his or anyone's advice.

Hello kind sir, i'd like you to take my advice on a few things -

1. Your bro already told us that you are working on getting gold for epic gems and thats why you don't have them and thats very understandable, but you defiantly should have at least blue gems in all the slots. Just gem all strength until you get to epics and then put a fierce ametrine ( str+ haste) in all the yellow sockets, and then pure strength in the reds. Getting 4str socket bonuses using stam gems is not worth it,

2.Get a decent meta please. 21 agi + 3% crit is the best option given your situation. Just slip in a nightmare tear into your boots (bc thats your best piece of gear atm) and it will activate.

3. Enchants - not so bad here justs a few things. tuskarrs on boots plx. Hodir rep NEEDS to go up, Have crawfeesh buy you relics. Upgrade the legs and the other cheap enchants to the better ones once you get enough cash.

PLEASE use your badges to get a better neck.

5% over hit cap ( 1% space cow) please get it down.

Glyphs - they suck, all of them. Use Death coil, ghoul and Icy touch

EDIT : I skimmed through your app and it looks I noticed that you said you are a death coil emphasized build. You are the cookie cutter unholy sub spec frost and death coil is last in the priority system. If you have no spare 2 or 3 GCDs to RP dumb at the end of your rotation due to movement or other fight mechanics it is best to just let your RP rot. RP dump that hold s off a few BS and SS's that you can get off during the fight is a DPS loss. I'm very curious of your rotation. Please share.

Improvements & Rotation

Definitely taking the advice on the gems and neck...been trying forever to get rid of that thing! As for the hodir rep...never knew about it until the other day when I was trying to find decent enchants for my shoulders. Never stepped foot in Stormy Peaks. Now I know. The glyphs were place holders as they were given to me...tight on gold due to JC. Will be fixed soon. As for the death coil emphasis, I had forgotten I recently respec'd losing both Improved Unholy and Morbidity. I still use DC in my second part of my rotation. Single target I start with PS, IT, BS, BS, SS, DC...then while runes cool SS, DC, SS, SS, DC, DC. May trim the last two DC's off if my timing was off and all runes are back up which I then repeat. I also keep up with my HoW using usually after first part of rotation. Only on multiple targets might I take the time to DD and Pest. Of course I don't know if this rotation is perfect but I feel as if I've made alot of progression with my dps as opposed to my previous rotations. Very open to any kind of criticism. Thank guys!

Also...my hit rating has recently skyrocketed because I blundered and replace my banner of victory with that shard of the crystal heart. That's all part of the game though...balancing your stats as you replace gear:(

Your rotation is OK but just OK. You are not specced into reaping meaning you throw out a BS to get out desolation then hit a scourge strike then another BS. I only get to do 2 death coils usually (due to GCD shortage) but that varies fight to fight and haste. the extra RP you get from HoW in only worth the GCD if you use your runes for aoE purposes ie Dnd or pest and you have nothing else to do but RP dump.

do you have macros set-up for your bone shield and multiple gargoyle situations? Before heroism and pot and during?

Most of them are fairly simple but some require a copy/paste

What mod do you use to track desolation and sigil procs (and soon to be 4 pc proc)

NeedToKnow or classtimers are best. Internal CD timer management is crucial to maximizing ones DPS. What mod do you use to track them? I suggest Needtoknow, Heatsink, or sexycooldown.

I'll post more once I get these answers.

Glad to hear I my rotation is somewhat decent. Also glad to hear there's room for improvement. I've been using Scorchio (which kinda sucked) to keep track of my diseases but not sure if it ever showed proc's? MIKScrolling text to watch crits and what not. No macros for bone shield or gargoyle...just click em same as HoW. Not too sure what you mean by multiple gargoyle situations. CD on it doesn't usually allow me to use it more than once in a fight...of course I've never done an ICC boss. I have already removed scorchio and opted to use Needtoknow. Gonna give all these suggestions a test run tonight in randoms! Thank you!

Here is the Bone shield macro

Here is the Bone shield macro you should use:

#Showtooltip Bone shield

/cast Blood tap

/stop casting

/cast bone sheild

This macro lets you reapply bone shield mid-fight without breaking your rotation if it gets knocked off by a fight mechanic (it will get knocked off on multiple fights in ICC).

When I say multiple gargoyle situations I mean on some fights in ICC you will be able to use gargoyle twice.Once chained with a pre-pot and army on pull and then again when heroism is popped. You have to know how many gargoyles you can fit in a fight before you pop it on pull. Say it's a 3min fight. It is better to save your gargoyle for heroism then pop it on pull, you have to be careful though because 2 gargoyles w/o hero is better then 1 w/ it. Gargoyle usage is a huge part of unholy gameplay.

NeedToKnow can track procs as well. Set up one for your sigil, one for desolation, a couple for your trinkets and so on. Knowing which procs you have up helps you make your gargoyle stronger and do more dps, so every proc/important internal CD should be tracked.

I'll run it through a simulator but i'm pretty sure Banner of victory is better then the haste trinket you have on right now, even if it's a loss in GS :P. the haste badge trink you have on has a useless stat for you and that is hit (you have way to much, as mentioned before). Banner of victory has a nice proc and passive ArP is always good since the better half of you SS runs off of ArP. It's our 3rd best stat to aim for.

This is my older bro. I am both funding and teaching him the fights. He watches me fight all the ICC fights. (connect my computer to the big screen TV via HDMI). He, like myself, is a very fast learner.

His prefession is Jewel Crafting so that explains why his gems arent all epic (its a money saving situation). He is currently saving all his Frost Emblems for his t10 gear always does both VOA's, and is constantly looking for new ways to improve his dps.

I've already told him that he should attend the Malt Toc25 run on Sunday. As everybody seems to care more about Gearscore rather than Skill, he hasnt had many opportunities to really get into a decent raid. IE: Toc25 and Icc10.
