I chose to do a slightly different arcane spec, but he has all the essentials. This is my Arcane Spec. I chose Invocation cause there is a few chances to interrupt, but if you do, then a 10% damage boost can't be over looked. I always saw imp. Blink as a fun talent and not really necessary. I understand some people choose to pick it up and that some ppl swear that it has saved their lives before, but imo, if you were standing in the correct place to begin with then you shouldn't need it. I also love the 6% Damage Reduction and instant invis from Prismatic Cloak. The Damage Reduction isn't the big deal here though, its the instant invis. Right at the start of a fight, have an extra 2 seconds to get in another AB during ur burn phase before mirrors fade is a HUGE DPS boost that that AB crits for 100k.
Gear wise, get Darkmoon Card Volcano. Heart of Ignacious is really nice, but there are some blue quality trinkets that actually do more DPS then it for arcane and fire. Plus, until you get heroic therallions mirror, Shard of Woe, or a trinket from firelands, you won't replace Volcano. For fire, Volcano is still one of our BIS trinkets. PERIOD!!! Reforging/gems looks good for a fire spec. I've come really close to just reforge/regem for Arcane though and just switch trinkets around for when I go Fire. Arcane is alot of fun, and doing 50k DPS for the first 30 seconds of a fight will make your EPEEN grow alot.

Plum — Mon, 07/11/2011 - 18:16Indeed ive been meaning to get Volcano, just hadnt had enough gold or a reliable scribe to make me a some cards. As for the points in Blink is was just purely a "fun" talent. I did have a little debate about justifying invocation for the 10% dmg increase (guess it depends on the fight and raid comp) as I chose not to take it i didnt see the need as our CD is 45 sec long and we have had our dk for interupts. It would be really great if every fight was interupt intesive, but for our raid comp it just wasnt necessary.
Yes Arcane is really really "ego" expanding, huge crits, simple rotation, all around fun! I have also thought about reforging/gemming to arc aswell, a simple yet fun spec.

Has excellent raid awareness, always where he needed to be, when he needed to be there.
Great attitude, just seems like a generally easy going dude.
Was on time to raid, communicates well, and comes to raid knowing the boss fights.
Only suggestion I have is for you to work on arcane, and polish up your dps a little more.
Overall I was very impressed, I hope to see you in guild soon. Good Luck!

Let me clarify what went on, I unlocked the 2 additional cores amd hid on the chip turning a dual core into a QUAD. making it a AMD Phenom II X4 B55. Unfortunatly it came at the cost of downclocking the cpu just abit to 3.6ghz. Mind you this was all done on air. Other than that thats the highest stable.

His areas for improvement are probably just finishing the min/max-ing stuff in order to tighten up his rotation etc in order to boost his DPS a little...but to be honest, it's not really that big of a deal...the things that you can't change about a player (whether they're duchebags and whether they play with their head in the sand) are things that Plum is excellent at. (He's neither a duchebag, nor stupid.) ;)
