I am just there to goof off and release some of the tension like some of the other trade chat trolls. But as far as nice in guild and in person, I'm always there for those that need me that treat me the same as i treat them. I expect the same kindness to me that I wish to show to others. This isn't something I can just type out and expect anyone to believe but I have many friends that I am more than sure I could use as a reference I you really would like to know more about who I am. Just say the word and i'll ask my friends to PST you on my behalf.

But in my travels I have known some great priests .....
Now I would assume by your talent build your a (ProM/CoH/FH/ProH) Holy Priest..... Which is fine --- It is mana intensive and has a lower sustain thru put and to be honest I am told can be hard to maintain (needing a fair amount of haste and a strong mana pool)....
A good example of this type of healer is

You will notice he is selecting slightly different talents in the holy tree but the basic idea of not using renew at all is still the same...
Now I am not sure if I agree with either you or thestuey in not taking at least one point in empowered renew but then I am not a real fan of the ProM/CoH/FH/ProH rotation because of it greater strain on your mana pool and also it is much more dependent on your timing and therefore haste is more important (which for a holy priest one will debate the importance of haste.......)

This is my preferred approach to holy and here is why..... It is less of a drain on your mana pool and Has a Higher sustained thru put (so far the priests in downfall -- Holy Priests --- that I have run with follow this vein... Although I have seen Thestuey pull off the ProM/CoH/FH/ProH very effectively .......
So it would be my recommendation that you shift to more of a ProM/CoH/Renew/FH Holy priest (remember that in this rotation you are only using FH when SoL proc's....)

As far as Gemming ...... When I first apped here I tranfered over from another server where this toon was an alt for me so I had some work to do ...... That being said I think you do as well with your gems (I am not going to stear you toward any set of gemming --- just use the tools to gem for max output).... I recommend using a spreadsheet or Rawr (that is what I use) to optimize your gemming and Gearing..... I also recommend Mouse over macro's for executing your rotation..... Even using a Clique/Grid or raid frames in my experience just does not cut it to the same extent ....

Praetahim — Tue, 08/17/2010 - 11:00I agree that mouse-over macros probably would be a better technique than using grid in some cases but TBH i feel Mouse over macro's are really a sore weak spot for me cause i've never had a close guild to help me understand full mouse over macro's and how to work them and where to best use them. in my personal experience on wow healing can be a pain if not done in a comfortable way. And i really do agree with u that mouse over macro's would help me boost my healing skills a bit more. This is where i would love some real pointers.
As far as the gemming goes, i know i haven't perfectly been gemming right but i've been stuck in between disc and holy trying to figure what best suits me. Now that i've had time in real end-game raiding i feel disc is where i am best as for now. So trust me as soon as the servers come up i'll be switching some Gems to Spell power, or SP/in, SP/hst. Also i caught your link on the Player Thestuey and how he gemmed his gear. I should have realized that a little soon about the split gems but wanted to thank u for pointing that toon out.
On a ending note; I saw the comment on my first app about the haste to back enchant. Since i am going to be remaining Disc full time for now I'll stick with the Haste enchant. I was wondering about a post I saw on LJ's from Frmercury. He made a comment about up'ing his Haste to 1017hst, so he'd have only a 1.0 sec GCD on shield. I personally get why he'd do this but it seems like it'd weaken the shield at the same time. I've read that haste is nessacary for Disc priest but how nessacary? There is no Haste cap, so what it appears to me is Casting faster shields Vs. Stronger shields. Any opinion on this? Or is there a way to really balance Haste and SP to gain Fast and strong shields that the little bit of a differance wouldn't matter?
It seems a little hard to be Gemmed, and enchanted one way for two specs even if both classes are considered healing. And that to me was what i was trying to build on. One set of gear but being able to full-fill two specs. All though I've played WoW for the better part of 3 years this is the first time I've really tryed to perfect a class and even attempt to get into a well developed and well respected raiding guild. I do I am showing improvement with my gear and I'll take any advice you can offer (mouse-over macros plz). Anyways servers are about to come up so I'll let you go. If you'd like to further discuss priest stuff feel free to toss me a letter on your website or even say Hello in game. But I'll leave that up to you. Ok so I see your reference "I agree that mouse-over macros probably would be a better technique than using grid in some cases" and I wanted to make clear that Mouse over Macro's in no way means you stop using grid in fact I feel using both together is the perfect marrage........
Here is an example of a mouse over macro:

And here is my two cents on the whole subject..... (boy I am always giving out my "Two Cents" a lot lately no wonder I am terminally Broke!!!!
No matter how you split it.... Your going to be using Keys in your healing.... Whether you use - Healbot, Clique & Grid, (there are a few others).... Still involves Keying in often combined with clicking a frame. No matter how you look at it it is more difficult then Mousing over and key spamming..... Not saying you can't come across as incredible doing it another way but just in terms of pure executed actions I would still have to say mouse overs are more effective (talk

I would also like to add that I feel you need to kind of choose Holy or disc and gear/Gem seperately --- What might be considered BIS for one spec I can tell is not for the other....
