Tell us a little of your history in WoW.:

I started WoW a little bit before the release of Burning Crusade, so I wasn't able to raid during vanilla, but I have had the opportunity to raid in every other expansion. I've done recreational raiding where we would go in and have a blast Misdirecting to healers, and I've been in some progression raids where we had to bang our heads to figure out a fight. I currently have fifteen level 90 characters, of which, are a mix of horde and alliance. I used to play all of my toons regularly, but I haven't had the time to focus on them all; so I limited myself to my hunter, druid, and warrior for now. My biggest goal as of right now is looting the Headless Horseman mount; 150 kills this season: Zero drop. I recently transferred to Gorgonnash from Akama-Horde in order to play with Arraben and Deathworks, but don't worry; everyone can enjoy my company!

How do you feel about the state of your class in the game?:

I really like what they've done with the classes in terms of reducing CC abilities, but at the same time I really miss some of the things that were taken away. I will forever remember my savior, Scatter-Trap, RIP. I sometimes spam my Kill Shot key in survival, despite it not being there. I'm still adjusting to the ability prune, and I can't say that I've mastered my class. I can't seem to stand still in MM to benefit from sniper training, I just love jumping around too much.

What led you to our guild and what would you like to accomplish with us?:

Arraben and Deathworks insisted that I bring my hunter back to alliance in order to PvP with them, so that's what I did! I plan to primarily PvP on my hunter, but I would love to raid casually when I'm able to. I do plan on raiding with my horde guild, but I'll be focusing on my hunter for PvP.

Which addons do you consider essential and why?:

Deadly Boss Mods - It's good to know what is going to happen in encounters.
Tidy Plates - I love tidy plates, makes it easy to keep track of DoT timers.
WeakAuras 2 - Another nifty addon that let's you know when trinkets proc, abilities come off CD, etc.
MogIt - I will be honest, I love mixing and matching gear.
Healers have to die - A great addon that marks healers to focus.

What do you like in particular about the UI you are currently using?:

I like the simplicity of my UI. It's compact so I'm able to see everything that's going around me. I'm up to try any other addon recommendations!

PvE

Raid Experience:

My hunter is currently 8/14 Mythic (Downed prior 6.0.2 patch.)

Describe Your Playstyle:

I've primarily raided in survival spec where my rotation was keep Serpent Sting up, Black Arrow on CD, Explosive shot on CD, arcane shot to stop focus cap. I generally use my damage CDs during pre-pot and trinket procs and again on timewarp/hero. It's a bit easier now since arcane shot puts SS up. Other then that it's about the same. I like using steady focus these days, because I'll generally use 2 cobra shots in a row anyway.

What specializations do you have experience with?:

I have one of each class at level 90 so I've fiddled around with each class, but I've spent most of my time on my hunter (BM, surv, and MM), druid (Resto/feral), warrior (arms,fury), mage (primarily frost). I haven't played a lot of my alts this time around, but you can sometimes see me playing my WW monk.

What are your most and least favorite boss encounters?:

My favorite boss encounter is Sha of Pride, because of the Pac-Man Phase!
My least favorite boss is Immerseus, because I usually get stuck with running to the opposite side to kill the adds >_>.

PvP

PvP Experience:

Some arena/RBGs with Arraben and Deathworks. Still learning what to do against certain comps, but I feel like I can hold my own. I generally only play my hunter when it comes to PvP. Have never really pushed too hard in arena and I'm usually on Flag defense for RBGs (being I'm a hunter).

Is PvP your primary focus?:

PvP will be my main focus in Warlords of Draenor. I plan to learn all I can and play to the best of my ability. Raiding was my priority in every expansion, but I think priorities outside of game will keep me from a regular raid schedule. As to the guild rated battleground, I would love to, but I will probably have to be a backup, as per my schedule.

Yes, I may watch subbed anime, but I can not speak Japanese. (Life goal though!)

Tell us a little about yourself.:

I'm 22, turn 23 in December - I do accept gifts ;P I currently work from 5am - 2pm Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturdays from 5am - 1pm) so my work schedule is pretty tiring. I usually take a nap when I get home and then it is WoW time. My girlfriend actually lets me play WoW without throwing a fit, so when I have time I can usually raid without any problems. Although lately my internet has been having some DC issues - I blame comcast. >_> If you have any questions about my experience in-game or anything really, I'll answer the best I can. I'm generally on everyday between 3pm - 10pm CST.

I see your offspec is BM. Is that your favored PVP spec since you said you like to PVE as Surv?

You seem like a team player. I have seen some people in PVP pugs bitch and moan about having to guard flags in RBGs. It's nice to see someone understanding that their class is excellent for point defense. It always saddens me when someone is like "That's bitch work!" instead of accepting that it's a critically important task if you want to have any hope of winning AB and Gilneas.

Mini rant aside, I'm Aeolyn and I'm one of the PVP Officers of Downfall. I intend to lead our Friday Night Ashran efforts in WoD (which is exactly what it sounds like. Guild combat night in Ashran for all the PVP fans to go on a killing spree together without having to obey arena or RBG team size restrictions. Should be fun) and will probably have a hand in RBGs and plenty of screwing around in 3v3 Arena. If you end up being one of our PVP folks, you and I will probably have a lot of interaction.

So. Get Mumble if you don't have it already. And hopefully we can actually speak to one another soon.

As of right now, yes, BM is my preferred PvP spec. I plan on testing the waters with MM this weekend to see if I like it better. Again, I have a tendency to tap my space bar while I play so I need to adapt my play-style a little bit to accommodate for Sniper Training.

I try to be a team player. I mean, obviously, nobody likes to sit and watch a flag for the entire duration of a match, but someone has to do it and the hunter class is good at it.

Sweet! Nice to see another PvPer here. I'm one of our other PvP officers and Georgepatton and I will be organizing our guild RBG teams and working along with Aeolyn to find PvP opportunities for our members in general. I'm very impressed with Arraben and his crew so far both as players and as people and your app is terrific. We'll definitely need some people who are good, focused players, but want to take on more of a fill-in role and, heck, if your schedule opens up more then we'll have to find a way to get you on a regular team (it's looking more and more like we're going to need two teams).

Nice to meet you! I hope that one day my schedule frees up a little bit, because as of right now I sometimes take naps. I for one feel that I'm too young to require naps (naps are okay as long as they're wanted and not required). Like I said in my app I'm still learning when it comes to PvP comps and such, so I appreciate any constructive criticism/feedback. Thanks for considering my app, hopefully I'll be able to join you in PvP soon!
