Currently I'm a student at Bloomsburg U. studying Computer Forensics. I love sports and the outdoors. I'm not the average WoW player I live in the gym and love to fish and hunt. Gaming has always been a hobby of mine and probably always will be its a great way to relax after the gym. I'm generally an out going person and easy to get along with. I LOVE to party! Currently I don't have too much of a PvE set on this guy since it is my freshest 80 and have only really PvP'd on him. Although a PvE set would not be hard to acquire in a short period of time.

i';ll elaborate on how we view this here in Downfall. In Downfall our players have 1 main toon. We expect them to learn that class inside and out. Alts are fine and dandy but when push comes to shove the main toon is what it;s all about. We dont let people switch mains (without a seriousaly stroing need). We also dont recruit fresh 80's. Why are you not applying on the most geared char you have from your past 3 years of playtime?

I applied on the Lock because that is what I Plan on playing as my main in cataclysm, I felt it would be meaninless to apply as any other class. Also im not looking for anyone to gear out my warlock, as I have been more of a PvPer in WoTLK i have not had the opportunity to raid with any serious guilds on my server. Im more than willing to start at the very bottom and work my way up even if that means waiting weeks for a 10 ICC. I dont feel gear should be weighed so heavily.

I'll be honest, this is sort of a red flag for me.

Gear < Skill, absolutely. But, it's going to take some substantial time (more than you estimate, I expect) to build your gear set to the point that you're an asset rather than a liability. It's possible with heavy GKP-ing, and spending a butt-pile of gold, you could do it.

My suggestion is this, spend some time doing what you want to be doing on your gear, and post on your app when you're ready to be looked at again. As for now, without gear to evaluate, I think this app needs to be shelved. Be aware, when I look at your gear I'll be hoping for mostly iLVL 264 + stuff as that's what the bulk of our raid is in. Less than a 4 pc T10 is going to need to be accompanied with some really good parses.

Let me also rephrase for clarity and so you can interpret what we value: If you can show me that you're doing 13k dps regularly in blues on Rotface, Festergut, or Marrowgar, then I don't care what your gear looks like--it's just pretty tough to accomplish that.

Other than that, so far you say the right things in your app. So don't be too discouraged. It's not that you're totally out of the running, but you've got some serious things to prove, IMO.
