I havent really played around with my UI. I still use the game version. Once played with it and had to reinstall to undo the damage it left me. DBM is a godsend. Anyone without it shouldnt be raiding... PERIOD. On my healers I use Healbot. As requested I downloaded the raid pack. Theres some addons I have yet to figure out their use... A work in progress I suppose :)

PvE

Raid Experience:

Icc 10 11/12 down with attempts on LK
Icc 10 (HM) first wing + fester, rot, and BQL with attempts on PP and Princes
Icc 25 11/12
Icc 25 (HM) first wing + fester, rot, and BQL

Naxx - completed it all... but as I dont do it on a regular basis (you know the drill)
Ulduar - all bosses down but last. (both reg & HM) Pally has all but 3 achievements left for the 10m drake)

OS - 0-3D on 3 of 4 80s
RS - attempted 25m once on shaman but group failed. afterwards I revisited my strategy on the fight (as I also did beforehand) but I havent reattempted it.

VOA know all fights 10/25m from a healing/melee/range perspective

Ony know the fight from a healing/melee/range perspective both lvl60/80

Yes telling that to people Ive gotten my way a lot. Also had too many people fall instantly for me. I am the type of person who wants to earn their achievements.... not buy them. I work hard for what I want. I enjoy things that challenge me. I think thats why I enjoy raiding the way that I do... the push to get further, the joy of new content... new stuff to challenge me.

I just realized this. Please update your screenshot. The screen shot you have is of a Shaman. We need a UI pic of your mage. Also, I'm not seeing a whole lot of addons. If you are planning to raid with us, it is highly recommended that you download the Raid Addon Pack located on our home page. It is filled with many addons that will benefit you and our raid leaders in raid. I personally can't remember EVERYTHING that is in it atm, but if you get up with me in game I can walk you through what each one does. My mage is Alprazalam, and my Priest is Privilege.

I also see that you use healbot. For the most part, everyone in DF uses Grid. I even use grid on my mage for mouse over decurses, and to see who pulled aggro on a boss fight, who is standing in fire, etc. etc. IDK, try it out sometime, I know as a fact that it is one of the mods that is in the raid addon pack, and you may like it more then Healbot.

Thanks for the comments. As requested Ive updated the UI to reflect my mage and not my shaman. Ive also downloaded the raid addon pack as well. Some of them Ive already grown to like.... after only a couple of minutes.

Ive tinkered with Grid a little bit but Im still not 100% on how to set it up with mouseovers and all. I agree decurcing and polymorph mouseovers would be ideal in a raid situation (especially Lady D). As for healing on my other toons I will probably stick to the healbot - for now - until I become more familiar. No sense going into icc 25 and not being able to do anything lol

I am off from work all this weekend so in addition to the heroics I'll
be focused on seeing how to get this thing to work.

Grid help.

You should look into clique, I don't know if it's in the addon package but it's a very useful addon to pick up.

And if you ever need any help with grid, you can always hit up dfrecruit and ask for help setting up grid, which is incredibly customizable. If no one answers let them know you're a female, NOT Canadian.

Being a huge hockey fan i hold a special discontemt for Canadians. I'm still pissed off about the Olympics.

However as you can see, others have always joined in on my ammusement at the expense of others (ie: Canadians)

Maybe someday you'll catch one of my war support speaches. the short of it being bring all our troops home from the middle east and koreas, then invade Canada and Mexico.

K first congrats on applying to Downfall. Download and install RAWR. It's an independant program that allows you to both find BIS Items AND correct gem usage.

Lets begin with your Talent/Glyph choices.

For your frost portion of your arcane spec, I would put 2 points into Frost Warding. It is especially helpful in the Sindragosa fight. Notice it replenishes mana.

Glyphs: Replace Glyph of Mirror Image with Glyph of Molten armor. This increases your critical strike damage depending on how much spirit you have. Its very nice ;D

Gems: Replace that 10/10/10 gem with a Purified Dreadstone, your shoulder gem with a Reckless Ametrine, and your bracer gem with another reckless ametrine.

Gear: I noticed that you arent wearing a Ashen Verdict ring. Are you just not wearing it? You've been in ICC right? That ring is absolutely OP for mages. I'm also questioning why youre using a healing trinket. Was it from a roll run? I'm sure you pissed off a healer xD (That is unless all the healers had it or something better.)

I realize that a lot of the gear that you have will be replaced. GL with your app!

I would like to thank you for the speedy responce to my application. I noticed the responce this morning but I wasnt able to address it until I got home from work (bookstore).

I would like to mention that in my application I did comment about having Rawr, and that it has greatly helped me with my other 3 80s. Theres no doubt that it will greatly help the mage as well as she attains some higher level gear now and into Cata.

In regards to the comments about glyphs and gems these have been taken into account and the changes requested have been made. Ive altered the frost portion of my spec as well to include the Frost Warding as mentioned.

As for my current gear, this mage turned 80 just last week. Ive been putting a lot of effort into Heroics in order to get her ready for raiding. The mage herself has only been in ICC once - hence no rep ring as of yet. I hope to greatly change this this week (I do agree... that ring is awesome). Ive also this past week been able to max out the toon's tailoring profession and I am egar to get some of the ICC patterns as well as the ring. The healing trinket I picked up on a GKP last week. No one had wanted it (besides a fellow mage) and I saw potential benefits - in its mana reg qualities - to hold onto it until proper gear could be attained.

I hope this has addressed all of the comments made above. I welcome more if need be, and look forward to hearing about my application. Thank you :)

Just looking over gear, enchants, gems, etc. Take socket bonuses for you gem slots. RAWR will show you that its best to take them. Enchant on boots should be Tuskar's Vitality, becasue you are way over hit cap and Tuskar's is BIS PERIOD!!!!! Nothing overcomes being able to move out of fire faster. Need Black Magic enchant on your weapon. Try to replace Solace of the defeated. Abyssal Rune out of normal TOC (the 5 man) is a really good trinket for its ilvl and I know its an upgrade without even looking at RAWR.

Other then that, in game type /join dfrecruit that is our recruitment channel we use for our apps and our raid leaders often revert to that channel for fillins.

Thank you for your comments. Ive made the necessary changes to the enchants as requested. (thank god for having maxed enchanting on my pally lol)

I will continue to farm heroics in search of items that better fit my class. And I hope that this week this toon will see good results in ICC as well.

Im going to be transferring my Druid to the server this weekend, and maybe saturday or sunday i could heal some heroics for you, faster que's and all that. I'll look for you in the DFrecruit channel.

Also no one ever seems to mention WHY Tuskarrs is absolutely better, and when some jackass in a pug wants to tell you how silly you are for having it, its important to know why. It is NOT a DPS issue. Wether its an increase or decrease can be debated till the end of time, with variable factors such as fight movement, GCD, instant casts, blah blah blah. What it IS, is a SURVIVABILITY increase, and thats more important then a few measly dps anyday. I know you already have the enchant on your boots, since you said you fixed your enchants, i just wanted you to know why.
