Although I do have one question: Deathbringer's Will vs. Sharpened Twilight Scale, the proc on is a little more mystical and interesting, but wouldn't you rather have the known variable off the Sharpened Twilight Scale?

Onrique — Mon, 08/30/2010 - 13:36I prefer DBW for the length of the proc and 2/3 of the procs are HIGHLY good (700 agi isn't bad either). For fights when we pop heroism at the start, I can count on having full DBW uptime (30 secs), and full speed pot uptime. Since stacking CDs is the most effective way to use them for maximum dps, a trinket with a HUGE uptime during heroism gets the most use from it.

Unfortunately blizz didn't give a new viable controlled trinket. I like knowing whats going to happen and being able to to control what I can, since Shammies are already dynamic/erratic enough.

Tanner — Sun, 08/29/2010 - 22:08Unfortunately the WF glyph is currently better for me, but that is exactly what I was testing out. I believe that with the gear set I am shooting for, FS will eventually be the better option. Non-linear observations are always a positive and thank you for that.
I do not like the 1 point in Imp SS at this point in time. I do like it when I am new to the raid/fight, but ICC/RS have been out long enough now that I am fully comfortable with when and where to pop SR and keep my mana up(I also carry Mana Pots as an Oh S*** response). I am very comfortable with my toon as this has been the char that I spend 99% of my time on, and a ooming is a rare occasion for me.
The hit rating I know is high, but like I said I am taking what I get. The minute I have a chance at better gear I usually stick my neck out and come back empty handed. This server I am coming from has almost no GKP's and pugs are raid rolls(usually disastrous)...and the guild I was in rarely showed up for raids. So it's kind of a rock and a hard place. Get me in a consistent raid where competence and skill are rewarded, and I will flourish.
You may be right about the Arm Pen, and I will definitely think twice when rolling/bidding/DKPing gear; however I believe my haste has to be in another time zone for it to be truly viable.
As for consumables: Flask of Relentless Rage Currently(while play testing the FS glyph I used Frost Wyrm), If no Fish Feast I eat Dalaran Clam Chowder, and Suprise Suprise...I use Haste Pots and on that rare occasion mentioned earlier I use mana pots.

Onrique — Sun, 08/29/2010 - 19:16-Flame shock is comperable, if not better than windfury, for glyphing. In a fully buffed raid with all SP buffs provided for, it actually scales with FS damage, vs a flat 2% increase in WF procs, which is debatable as to the difference that makes.
-Spec is a little different than mine. I like a point in imp SS as well as 2/2 imp ghostwolf for utility vs picking up imp shields. Seems like you chose a pure dps spec (which is fine), however i like self-sustainability because bad RNG happens and you could shamanistic rage at a bad time and be mana starved (happens).
-As far as stats: hit rating is way too high. Your gemming is correct, but your haste is low due to your gear. Once you hit those higher haste levels, ArP is not a bad stat at all. Im seeing about 66-67% physical based damage now in a fully buffed raid; a stat that benefits physical damage is clearly more helpful than it was back in the pre-ICC days.
-Tell me about the typical consumables you use in a 25 man raid.

I know I'm over hit cap but Arm pen is almost useless to a shaman and the only gear that I've access to from raiding has arm pen(I'm not very lucky when it comes to drops). The FS glyph is going to change...I was play testing and simply forgot about it. I do appreciate the feedback greatly.

Drnastystash — Sun, 08/29/2010 - 06:49Nice to see another enh shaman app'd, it looks like u have a good idea of everything they can do. Eventhough you want to raid to kill bosses, enh dps is one of the hardest to gear for and once you get more you'll be able to bring all the benefits of a shaman and good dps as well. As far as your spec I would use glyph of windfury rather than flame shock. Also, get rid of some of the hit pieces you only need around 330-340 in a raid and do the best you can to stack haste with new gear and gems because it's a very important stat when your capped on hit and exp. Hope to see you in raid sometime.
