Tell us a little of your history in WoW.:

I raided back in the Sunwell days, and then took and extended vacation. I came back for a short time during MoP, but wasn't driven by the expansion. When the new expansion came out, I decided to try again. I'm enjoying this one much more, and plan to stick around.

In the Sunwell days, I was a T6 holy priest. My healing days are gone, but I have a couple toons I could raid with.

How do you feel about the state of your class in the game?:

I like the state of the class. There are some things that could be changed, but all in all, Blizz is doing a decent job of making things even, and requiring a good mix of classes to accomplish the goals.

What led you to our guild and what would you like to accomplish with us?:

I saw some spam in chat. (hahaha) I like the idea of laid back, but serious at the same time. I'm passed the screaming, yelling, and finger pointing. I want to progressively raid, but with do it with people who can communicate what their needs are in a civil manner, and work as a team to get things done. I also want to raid with a group who doesn't need to be in-game 24/7 to be successful.

Sorry, don't have much of a screen shot. Out of raid, but got frames up for you. I use ElvUI. I like it because it's simple, and easy to set up on my mac.

What do you like in particular about the UI you are currently using?:

I like many of the addons. As far as ElvUI, it's the simplicity and an all inclusive addon. I'm not married to my UI, and would definitely change if something better was out there. This was recommended to me, and worked right out of the box.

The addons are the most important part, in helping with my play style. Raid frames are raid frames from a mage perspective, as long as you have clique to remove curses, or you spec'd Ice Ward. I like that my casting bars are moveable, and I can resize them. Almost all my specs are key bind, but the couple that aren't are easy to use.

I'm very adaptable when it comes to UI, provided I'm given time to learn it.

PvE

Raid Experience:

I raided quite a bit back in the Sunwell, BT days. Did some Lich King stuff, but nothing in MoP, with the exception of soloing some instances. Right now, I'm 6/7 Norm, and 3/7 Hero. The difficulties I've had are common in most all raids..... dying! Actually teamwork, and figuring out strats. Once those are lined out, things usually work out well.

Describe Your Playstyle:

My play style is fairly simple. I'm an arcane mage. I use PoM on cooldown. Start with that, and then AO (depending on fight), AB until AC is full. AP(on cooldown) with 4 stacks, SN or AM with full AC, then AB until procs, or I get to appx 50% mana. Depending on the fight, I may go keeping into the mana pool, but I watch what dos is, then decide. I Evo, then I burn a touch more, then let things passively recover to the 93%'ish level. Then I work on conserve until my Evo is at about 20 to 25 secs, and then start another burn, Evo, burn a bit more, then conserve. Rinse and repeat.

I'll amp magic on certain fights, and situations, and TW when a RL calls for it, unless I already know what he/she wants.

Much of this is situational. I may be spec'd into RoP for one boss, and IC for another. I might have AO for one, and PC for another.

What specializations do you have experience with?:

I used to heal as a holy priest, and have a 100 priest on the server. I think I'd rather take a sharp stick to the eye than heal again, but who knows. I also have a 635ish prot pally. I rather enjoy tanking with him too. Then I have this mage. I only run it Arcane, but wouldn't object to learning a different spec.

What are your most and least favorite boss encounters?:

Least,,, Imp Mar'gok. Probably because we haven't gotten it down yet, and have come entirely too close to keep losing. One of those, dayum kind of fights. The one you know you can beat, but just can't put it together.

Favorite.... probably Butcher. I get to stand there and slam away... how awesome is that as an Arc Mage?

Tell us a little about yourself.:

I'm a father of 4, and a professional firefighter. I play wow to enjoy myself and stay out of trouble. I'm also a HS lax, and football official. Coach my youngest son's football team, and try my best not to piss off the bride. Not having much luck with the last one, but I'm working on it. Oh yeah, I'm Catholic and heard all the jokes. I like joking and kidding around, and can take what I dish. I'm not always joking, but try to take things lightly. Learned that the hard way. What else..... I used to play competitive sports, was a martial arts fighting champion, etc, etc, but I'm too old for all that now. WoW is a good way to compete without me having to hurt myself in the process!! hahaha.

Arcane Orbz?

Hello,I'm Foresight,one of the magi of DF. I had a few questions for ya,like why do you only play Arcane? Are you skilled in the other two specs? Arcane is king in some fights but in others Frost is great because of the mobility and add cleave. I had a little time to look at your logs,why would you pick Arcane orb in a single target fight? It kinda gimped your damage. Look forward to seeing your answer! (Not being leetest,just wondering)

I'm the lead for the Galaga raid, which has the exact progression you do currently. We raid TH/SUN 9pm eastern time and currently have 1 mage who is not always on. It's a casual raid of adults who mostly have kids, but that doesn't mean we don't want to down bosses.

I have a mage and I must say, frost is so much easier for me, but I'm horribad at dps. I pally tank/healz for our raid and we have a backup tank and 2 priests and 1 pally for healz already as far as your alts.

If you are on one of our raid nights, feel free to contact me for a run. We usu have 15-18 raiders, so are still short a full 20 for eventual mythic content.

Since I'm a baddie at mage, I'll have one of our mage raiders chime in on those specifics.

I dont know dick about mages, But as for the rest of your app i'm intrigued. Seems like you are a cares about other people type of person. Every guild needs more of those. We are looking for dps for raid:Jamm. I'll make sure Atar sees your app.
