Tools to better our ability to play? If you don't make use of tools that help improve you then how can you say you give your very best?

Now giving, it takes a lot of effort to properly setup a good ui, and well what I had before my hard drive crash was 1000x better than what I'm left with at this moment, its a work in progress and many things are going to get smoother and smoother as I slowly work on it.

If any of you wonder about keybindings most of it is all bound to a logitech G13 Gaming Pad, And not I'm not a macroer that presses one button and eats a samwich, (yes this device can do that effectively) I just have learned to love having complete keymaping.

Names Marshall, I've been playing WoW on a semi casual basis sense I believe 2005. Started with my cousin. Love the game, enjoy the social aspect even more. I'm a high school grad who plans to join the Air force. Life is but a collection of our actions, and interactions with the people that speed by. I'm a true believer in getting to know people, and having good conversations =)

Experience, I really have to say, my low hours played on this char is just because I swapped over to him, in total I have well over 200+ days played. Which really is pretty sad, but I enjoyed the time so I can't complain.

So yah, this whole application looked 10times better, but it doesn't seem to save my paragraph breaks, so I appologize for my lack of understanding in HTML coding leading to a large amount of text blocks.

Exalted ICC ring, and t10.25 head/chest enchanted/socketed. Looking at Femaledwarf.com will explain my geming. At the point I'm at I can swap all Agi gems to ArP and lose dps. But replacing only some yields small dps increases (litterly like 5-10dps.) So I'll in effect swap to ArP as I get new items at least swap when it yields increases on Femaledwarf.com

Ran what I'd say was night two with Kitten Brigade ICC 25. Due to continual overheating issues I didn't WWS it and my performance was rather choppy. Not making any excuses I should have this heating issue solved by now. Did I believe Blood Council and Blood Queen heroic, downed PP Sin and LK Non heroic, not sure on dreamwalker.

Then we moved to Ulduar, did quite a few quick bosses. I'll look around and see if I can find a WWS link or something. Any comments are welcome! And once I get this CPU problem solved I won't be killing myself on LK because of silly FPS numbers >.<! Also 11k on bloodqueen unbite Woo?!

Oh a side note anyone know why my temps would have risen after a third CPU reseat? I'm starting to think this AMD is actually killing itself (Natural Death) my actual clock speeds change on every restart also! But the big issue is I'm pushing 60+c in a cool room with more than enough airflow.

RS 10, Didn't actually finish, sadly very poor group setup along with the main group getting hit by lazor beam wiped us.

I'll keep WOL's coming as I can, though they'll be more and more delayed as I'll be saving my raids to the end of the week to try and insure that I'm open for any raids that might be open downfall side.

Only thing I noticed was that your professions aren't maxed out. That's not a big deal though, since you've progressed far enough to get your profession bonuses.

Shakos is right, his spec looks fine. His gemming is questionable though. I count at least three agility/crit gems that could be replaced with straight agility. The dps gain is minimal, but in progression raiding you need all the extra damage you can get.

Aye, another issue with my spreadsheet, I'm showing a dead point for point equal for deadly gems, hence yellow sockets have them to gain the buff from the set bonus' now if Rawr's numbers are off and 20agi - color bonus is better I'll swap right away, but as it stands I'm following spreadsheets =)

I haven't had the cash flow to manage to bump up my profs to 450, pushed them till I had the "prof" only buffs and kinda quit there, its a work in progress.

I have never trusted RAWRs numbers for hunters. It has always been quite unreliable, and I wouldn't put any faith in it in the future unless I could be convinced otherwise with overwhelming evidence.

Use Shandara's spreadsheet from elitist jerks, or use www.femaledwarf.com (I recommend the latter)

Also, where did the ArP come from in regards to gems? I only mention agility in my post. Agility will almost always be better than crit per point of itemization. So in the end, it becomes which is better: 20 agility or 6 agility + 20 crit? The 20 agility will almost always win out. Use www.femaledwarf.com to check the values for yourself.

Aye I'll check femaledwarf, I've always figured it as you say it, but Rawr has been near 100% accurate when it came to my warrior hence I've been using it for my hunter. Though the figures from it are rather screwy. ArP comes from the concept that if and this is a big if; Rawr is correct about my arp rating, then I should be just about to the point where I can at least hit soft arp cap (trinket).

Thing is, my character panel says a different value, your saying use femaledwarf, and I'm loading it up as I type this.

I've basically only had Rawr to calcuate my numbers and in the end I've been really questioning the value of whats coming out of it. Hence why I say, my geming could be rather off, the progam tells me wrong and well I'm wrong. I'll probably do a quick gem fix in maybe an hour.

I very well maybe using it wrong, but currently with my gem setup these are the figures I'm pulling up.

ALL YELLOW SLOTS AT +20 AGI GEMS : 6642.60 DPS (total)

GEM SLOTS As currently equiped (10agi 10crit) : 6672.02 (total)

Its a minor difference +29.42 (total) dps.

I made sure all mana regen buffs set as active, (no other buffs enabled except trueshot aura)

As for ArP Femaledwarf is showing if I swaped to ArP Gems I'd lose -97.58 dps (total) so that solves my views on that.

When estimating dps values, I usually do full raid buffs with the sole exclusion of Imp Hunter's Mark (just use your own value of HM for that stat). In Downfall 25 mans, you will almost always have every buff. There may be a couple off nights, but most nights will have everything, so take that into account.

If you have to reduce your buffs/debuffs for 10 mans, so be it. Even in that case, just use those numbers as a personal measuring stick, not the end all be all of your potential. Plus, it's more economical to gem and gear for 25s and then readjust those numbers for 10 mans.

Aye, never trusted spreadsheets for an actual "dps" number, far to much to take into account, sure maybe on a patchwerk fight but even then. The numbers they give are just what it thinks is possible. Now one possibility being better than another still is an improvement. Hence why spreadsheets are so useful.

Odd effect though, at max raid buffs, and max raid debuffs (set Hunters mark as "use mine") I'm still coming up with the orange gems I've used to achieve a better effect. But whats suprising is the difference is greater -35.58dps if I just use 20 agi gems. Its probably due to Hero and other haste buffs, but still wasn't expected.

Now I completely agree with you 100% that when compared point for point Agi is better. The nice table of stats next to the Damage panel says so even, funny thing is which do I go off of? The theoritical number that is given to represent possible acheived damage takes into account all possibilities that the spreadsheet has to calculating damage done. The "pure" point for point box, takes into account what? Sure I may beat, or not beat the suggested damage done, in the end I probably should follow the box, but the box doesn't add in the bonus from socketing for those specific colors... Thats where I think the difference is.

Yah I would have missed on that, but femaledwarf actually warns you that your missing a trinket and hence I corrected that, the enchant is up and coming, haven't had time to spam trade and will be fixed sometime today. But even so are you coming up with results that actually show for the gem bonus' that I'm gaining that it'd be better off for me to go pure 20 agi? I even sat down and mathed out the gain loss per "dps" per "stat" that I'd gain/lose and the numbers are solid.

A rule of thumb that socketing 20agi is better has been what I've always followed, and in 99% of the situations it is. But math is showing that I gain more damage the way I currently have it setup.

After loading up Shandara's spreadsheet, I come to the same numbers, a tad bit different but the results weigh in the same direction. Shandara's actually undervalues Agi alittle more than what Zeherah's shows "dps" per point of "stat."

It seems like he put alot of time into his application, the parses he linked are very impressive and we have shakos' word that he is decent. Kitten Brigade has been trying out a couple of hunters this past week but I think salmon only has 1 hunter currently. Let's not make him wait 3 months before he gets any action or an answer like some of the other apps.

See what I'm not sure about is the whole ArP debate, I know the math behind it, I know the change point. What I don't know, nor understand is why the latest version of Rawr is adding 100ArP rating. Gems might be off a tad because of it, I had to long hand the math or just flat out guess because Rawr thinks with that extra 100 ArP that armorpen gems > Agi gems...

So yah if someone brings up that topic, and can actually explain why my spreadsheet is being retarded, or why my character panel ingame is showing me at 500-600arp, not 600-700arp then I'll gladly do the complete gem swap over.

I'll be delaying my 10 and 25man pugs to probably sunday/monday, to help make sure I'm always unlocked for any raids you guys might have with an open spot. Point me in the right direction and I'll try and run with it.

ICC 10 11/12 downed. Performance should be about on par, major gear changes though so my dps wasn't as polished as it could have been with proper gems and enchants on what I swaped around with a new trinket...

So tear me apart! Or at least look through and if you see something that stands out point it out!
