Great job.  I could tell you were far more comfy in ToC then ICC.  I'm excited to see what you can do now that you know the ICC fights. With spring break on us...we're likely to need some fillers for raid this week, so be around if ya can!

Brought him into KB tonight

Elapsed — Tue, 03/09/2010 - 23:18

So first off nice work tonight, you learned the starts quickly and didn't really fuck up at all. Secondly I ask anyone simply going over parses to consider that a 3rd Beacon of Light is a bit of a bitch in a raid. It greatly looses it's effectiveness when stacked (which happens in almost every fight)

Overall given your gear Tma and the fact you were rolling with both Kaluu and I doing our respective things, you kept up quite nicely. Look forward to healing with ya in raids a bit more.

*addition check out the Valithria kill parse for healing here well done considering you didn't go into a portal

Thanks

talisdar — Wed, 03/10/2010 - 14:07

Thanks for filling in for Kaluu and me last night, glad you had a chance to show your stuff!

thankyou,it was fun even tho

Had a very good chat with Tma

Had a very good chat with Tma This morning before I took off for work Smart cookie, would like to see him fill either Kaluu or G's Spot if need be this week and see some preformance

Just 2 questions about your

Ghli — Tue, 03/09/2010 - 11:49

Just 2 questions about your gear choices. Why do you have a solid 17mp5 JC gem socketed in your ring, and a spell power/SPIRIT leg patch? You're actually better off gemming with something else than that, and put your 3rd JC gem as an int gem somewhere else.

i was a few frost emblems

tma — Tue, 03/09/2010 - 23:22

i was a few frost emblems short for my helm(which i wanted to use as my set bonus)got the helm today.i was trying out the mana gem,i only had it on for a week.i have regemmed back to were i was,i think this is better now.

What things might cause you

cromi — Tue, 03/09/2010 - 10:13

What things might cause you to leave?:

the only time i have ever left a guild is when the guild or raid falls apart.

could you give more clarity on this?

well my first 40 man guild

tma — Tue, 03/09/2010 - 23:41

well my first 40 man guild was out for war on the azshara realm.there was drama and i ended up being the gm because everyone left lol.azshara realm died and i moved to gorgonnash and joined old guard as i was working afternoons at the time,so the aussie raid times fit me best 2am-6am st.

2 years ago i started working days and moved to the og american raid.for the last 8 months the usa raid has had attendance issues,i tryed helping holding things together but after non stop recruiting i felt it was time for me to move on.(im sure you know of the no pug rule)

over the years ive always enjoyed running with downfall players and scopeing your website  so here i am ,:)

Thanks for feedback.

cromi — Wed, 03/10/2010 - 00:31

Thanks for explicating. OG is a pretty good guild. Do you know a hunter by the name of feldield? I also just wanted to make sure that you weren't one of those guys who leave after a week because they don't raid. Or have a freak out in guild and sell all of their gear and delete account. But you have been in OG for that long it gives confidence in your ability to commit to a guild. You don't seem to have commitment issues >.>

as i said in my app  ive only

tma — Wed, 03/10/2010 - 18:12

as i said in my app  ive only been in 2 main guilds in over 4 years so i like to stay put :). as for feldield i have seen him online but not too often so he may be in the aussie raid or a part time player :)

Welcome

talisdar — Tue, 03/09/2010 - 10:02

Hey just wanted to make a couple of comments on your UI and perhaps make you a more effective healer.

I see grid is in the middle of the screen close to where your feet would be when it filled to 25 man content.

Also I noticed that you have your heals and beacon bound to 12345.  I play a Dpriest and a Holy/Prot pally as well.

I suppose the question is do you really use grid?  If so cool!  Get a mod called clique.  It allows you to target a unit frame in grid and clique a spell of on it.

I will give you an idea how I have it set up on my pally.

Left Click is Flash of Light, middle click is beacon, shift middle is sacred shield, right is holy light, button 4 is freedom, shift button 4 is lay on hands.

Also I did not see decursive on your screen or omen or ORA.  On the plus side I did see pally power!

Good luck and looking forward to your replies.

yes i use grid

tma — Wed, 03/10/2010 - 01:02

yes i use grid and quartz(like the spell latency imbedded).i also use a belkin nostromo n52 as my left hand buttons 1 -10.left hand does the walking, healing, decurseing,ss,beacon jump ect.i have a macro that fires all cool downs in a split second.ive tryed clique and others in the past but this combo seems to work the best for me.

lately ive been playing with vuhdo but i havnt got it figured out fully yet.i have omen, screen was probably hidden and i installed ora when i downloaded the df addon pack.

i decuse useing the corners of grid(enlarged the corners a bit)and aggro is in border(red)/corner along with heals.i guess im a bit old school,i still like my frames to look like ctraid.

yes grid is at my feet,it allows me to have a clear screen and see whats going on with the tanks.

any advise is welcome,thanks

Hello sir or madam, and

Aidin — Mon, 03/08/2010 - 14:20

Hello sir or madam, and welcome to the Downfall recruitment process. If you fancy a quick invite, have thin skin, or like purps over people then don't waste your time reading what follows, just press on now.  If you are a skilled player, or even a player in need of a little molding, and you have time to dedicate to dead bosses, and to a community of people that do more together then play a video game, then here's a few things for you.

Recruitment Process

Step 1 - Application :
Well you've already completed this step by taking the time to complete our lengthy application.  Some think it's silly, we have documented proof that it easily weeds out the douchebags before wasting too much of our time.

Step 2 - Who are you? : Type /join dfrecruit in game.  This will put you in our global chat channel for recruits.  You'll find lots of Downfall members in that channel often shouting for people for random heroics.  This will get your name out there, let people get to know you.  The more people you get to know, the more people will begin to comment on your application, and thus keep it "alive"

Until you start to get comments from those who excel in your class, or those who have nice/not so nice things to say about you as they get to know you, it's up to YOU to keep your application active, it's not just a matter of posting and never coming back, we are a website oriented guild, get used to using it.

Step 3 - Raid Tryouts : Raid : mAlt opens up 3 slots each Sunday for raid performance tests.  We parse these events and can see you in action before we bring you into a 25 man progession raid.  For more info on mAlt and raid times/sign ups: /raidgroup/malt

Step 4 - Be There : Be online during 25 man progression raid times, its even better if you're on from start to finish, since people will DC mid raid.  If you're apping to raid, it's a long and grueling process.  We DO need consistant skilled players for both 25 man raids, and you're not the only person trying to get that spot.  What we like to see is our apps posting on the raid events that they are available to fill in on a given night.  Then if you've posted that you're going to be on that night, make sure to shout our a reminder in dfrecruit just as raid is about to start just to let us know you're on. It may be weeks, it may be months before you see action, but you may end up with a spot the first time you join the recruit channel.

We have TWO 25 man progression raids:

Raid : Kitten Brigade /raidgroup/kitten-brigade
Raid : Salmon /raidgroup/salmon

All questions regarding raid invite status for Kitten Brigade should be directed Âidin (Â=alt+0194, or just check the downfall list) in game.

All questions regarding raid invite status for Salmon should be directed Ataraxia.

Please do not bother the other raid leaders, they have lots to do already.

Well that's what you can expect for the next few weeks/months.  We've had applicants that have waited over 3 months for an invite, we've invited people within a few days, every situation is different. So get you're name out there, get some comments, and good luck to you!
