I think that some mods are very useful and are almost essential to raiding now days.

I have done all of Naxx 25, Sarth 0drakes, malygos 25. I have done some of ulduar 25. I have done ToC 25. All of this while not beign overgeared.

I have killed Marrowgar, lady Deathwhisper, completed gunship, killed Saurfang, Festurgut, Rotface, Blood Council, and completed Dreamwalker. I have also almost killed Putricide.

Going to add a few things

First off hit cap, Armory shows you at 210 with 0/3 focused
aim. The hit cap with no focused aim is 263, with 1/3 FA its 229, 2/3 197, and
3/3 164.

Gem and enchant your gloves.

Your spec: you have 2 points in Go for the Throat where you
only need one. You have 2/2 Imp revive pet for some reason. If I were you i
would take 1 pt from GFTT and put it into rapid recoup, and take the two points
from imp Revive and put them into focused aim to reach hit cap.

Glyphs- the first two serpent sting, and steady shot, are
fine but glyph of the hawk is pretty useless as you are under the 1.5 cast time
for steady. I would recommend the kill shot glyph as a replacement. (You can
use this calculator to determine your haste in the future)

Also used femaledwarf to take a look at your gems, you seem
to have a lot of arp gems where they really aren’t helping you atm. If you
change them in the red slots to 20 agi,
and gem for the yellow with 10 agi, 10 crit for the socket bonus. I came up
with almost a 39 point DPS inc over the arp gems.

As for your gear overall I cannot really comment on that; as you
seem to have your frost resist gear on.

With my normal gear on I have 369 hit. Just recently I checked with femaledwarf and gemming for arpen comes out ahead of dps by like 30 dps. Also that glove is not my normal glove.

Will take your advice on talents and glyphs.

I am still unsure where you are getting the notion that ARP is better then Agi at this point in your gearing. After putting in your settings on femaledwarf AGI still remains better for you by 30 dps a rather large margin. I am very unsure what your reasoning would be to take ARP over AGI, as you will not see a inc of dps for some time, and will suffer from low crit and attck power as well.

If you dont want to take my word for it please by all means play with the gear option. Calculate your dps with ARP first. Then switch out every red gem to pure Agi, and I would recomend going for the yellow socket bonus's with 10 agi-10 crit. Then update your dps, it should show you that agi brings more dps to the table then Arp.

The only time you should be gemming ARP is with around 800 PASSIVE ARP on your gear, this is a steep gear requirement, which is often why you often dont see many hunters socketing ARP gems.

As well you are gemming two additional purple gems on your weapon, and bracers where they are not needed.

Just a reminder, that nightmare tear you have in your legs satisfies the 1 blue gem requirement you need to activate your meta.

Also replace that 44 attack power enchant on your gloves with Major Agility enchant (20 agi)

Wow. I'm impressed Shako. You covered just about everything I was going to mention. Some caveats though:

800 passive is approximately where the line is for ArP to flat out beat agility on limited movement fights, but if you have the gems slots to push you over 800, it is still acceptable to gem for ArP.

Going on the heals of what Shakos was saying about purple gems... You should never gem stam when you can get more total dps value out of ignoring the socket bonus. (18 agility + 15 stam) < (20 agility) every time.

Your non-gemed ArP is around 472. According to my math, if you take out your two Agility + Stamina gems, your Agility + Crit gems, and your solo 20 agility gem(in your ring), replacing all four gems with 20 Armor Penetration, your total ArP after gems becomes 852 crossing the border into the positive.

So, you CAN do it but you have to fully commit. Not this partial gemming bull shit. Even then, with only 52 points above the break even point, it won't be an incredibly noticeable difference, but it will be cheaper to just make everything fully ArP and build from there.

After Shakos comments on your talent tree, it now looks perfectly fine.
Pet talents look solid for your Wolf.

Keep in mind, that it is still technically less dps than all agility would be. 17-19dps in fact. However, just 10 more ArP will make a huge difference, so any ArP upgrades you get will now put you above it. It's just cheaper to leave yourself ArP gemmed, since it's cheaper and you're so close.

By the way, you still have 20 agility in your ring. Fix it.

ONCE OVER A STAGNANT 650 ARP ITSIT'S TIME TO GEM JUST THAT, GET YOUR META THEM GOTO ALL ARP. DPS WILL INCREASE WITH IT. (EDIT) JUST LOOKED AT YOUR SPEC. TRY CONSIDERING DROPPING THE 2 POINTS IN REVIVE PET INTO FOCUSED AIM IF YOU HAVE OTHER TYPES OF GEAR AND COULD STAND TO CHANGE PIECES OF GEAR!

I took a look at female dwarf and changed all of my arpen gems to agi gems and got a gain of 112 dps, I then changed my agi gems to arpen and got a dps gain of 118 dps. In both cases, I put the +10 stats gem in my pants. to allow me to get the +8 to agility bonus.

Hello sir or madam, and welcome to the Downfall recruitment process. If you fancy a quick invite, have thin skin, or like purps over people then don't waste your time reading what follows, just press on now. If you are a skilled player, or even a player in need of a little molding, and you have time to dedicate to dead bosses, and to a community of people that do more together then play a video game, then here's a few things for you.

Recruitment Process

Step 1 Application : Well you've already completed this step by taking the time to complete our lengthy application. Some think it's silly, we have documented proof that it easily weeds out the douchebags before wasting too much of our time.

Step 2 Who are you? : Type /join dfrecruit in game. This will put you in our global chat channel for recruits. You'll find lots of Downfall members in that channel often shouting for people for random heroics. This will get your name out there, let people get to know you. The more people you get to know, the more people will begin to comment on your application, and thus keep it "alive"

Until you start to get comments from those who excel in your class, or those who have nice/not so nice things to say about you as they get to know you, it's up to YOU to keep your application active, it's not just a matter of posting and never coming back, we are a website oriented guild, get used to using it.

Step 3 Raid Tryouts : Raid : mAlt opens up 3 slots each Sunday for raid performance tests. We parse these events and can see you in action before we bring you into a 25 man progession raid. For more info on mAlt and raid times/sign ups: /raidgroup/malt

Step 4 Be There : Be online during 25 man progression raid times, its even better if you're on from start to finish, since people will DC mid raid. If you're apping to raid, it's a long and grueling process. We DO need consistant skilled players for both 25 man raids, and you're not the only person trying to get that spot. What we like to see is our apps posting on the raid events that they are available to fill in on a given night. Then if you've posted that you're going to be on that night, make sure to shout our a reminder in dfrecruit just as raid is about to start just to let us know you're on. It may be weeks, it may be months before you see action, but you may end up with a spot the first time you join the recruit channel.

We have TWO 25 man progression raids:
Raid : Kitten Brigade /raidgroup/kitten-brigade Mon - Wed 6:30 - 10:00
Raid : Salmon /raidgroup/salmon Tue - Thu 6:00 - 9:00

Well that's what you can expect for the next few weeks/months. We've had applicants that have waited over 3 months for an invite, we've invited people within a few days, every situation is different. So get you're name out there, get some comments, and good luck to you!
