Tell us a little of your history in WoW.:

I have played since BC and have experienced a lot of good times. I have really enjoyed raiding and met a lot of good people along the way. I recently have been playing with my friends that I've known since high school. I have been to a couple of servers due to new opportunities with my friends and I think that we have finally settled down here in Gorgonnash.

How do you feel about the state of your class in the game?:

Warlocks are a little iffy at the moment. They are still pretty high up there on DPS but they definitely have changed since the class changes. I feel like I have played my lock enough to be confident with any changes they make and I am comfortable with pulling good dps numbers.

What led you to our guild and what would you like to accomplish with us?:

A lot of my friends are in Downfall and it would be nice to be with them in the same guild. Like I stated above, I really enjoy raiding and PVE content and on occasion PVP. I really just like to have a good time with friends, old and new.

Which addons do you consider essential and why?:

besides DBM, recount, and my UI addon i think that bagnon, atlasloot enhanced, NPCscan, and tidyplates are essential to anyone that plays the game. These addons help me play the game the way that I want to play. Tidyplates helps me with my dps as a warlock and atlasloot helps to guide me to the right dungeon/raid to get the best gear possible.

What do you like in particular about the UI you are currently using?:

It's very simple. I am not a fan of UIs that are hard to use or that have too much going on with them. Z-perl is nice and easy and I have control over everything to make it the way I want it.

PvE

Raid Experience:

BC-everything up to Sunwell, I took a break for personal reasons and was unable to raid it. 25m normal and heroic
WOtLK-everything, Ulduar is hands down my favorite raid. 10 man heroic
Cata- I took a small break in the middle of the expansion and only raiding. 10 man normal
MOP- I did the first 2 raids but took a little break before SoO came out but returned a month before 6.0.2 10-25 man heroic(post 6.0.2)

Describe Your Playstyle:

My play style is more of a safe, stay alive one. I am not one of those people who always manage to die in the fire on the ground. I am very aware of my surrounding and play with that strength. My rotation is the typical warlock destruction, dark soul, immolate, conflag(2x), incinerate until backdraft is gone and chaos bolt when burning embers are full or my trinkets proc'ed and repeat.

What specializations do you have experience with?:

I main destro with an off-set of affliction, I personally am not a fan of demo because of the play style it comes with. I have a good amount of alts across some servers and they mostly are other casters including mage, shaman, priest, druid, and hunter. I love any class that is ranged.

What are your most and least favorite boss encounters?:

I really enjoy the Ulduar boss encounters because of the new way blizzard came up with them. They are unique and enjoyable but also were challenging. my least favorite encounters were a lot from SoO, I was not a huge fan of the raid and wished Blizzard did more with the fights, they felt slow and they took forever before 6.0.2.

I am 22 years old, I currently go to Illinois State University as a Marketing major. I love all types of video games although I moved more towards PC over console. I enjoy sports as well as I play basketball, volleyball, and football. I currently work at Chipotle and will continue until I find a job more suitable with my major.

Its always nice to see fellow locks! I feel you on the changes, in my opinion abit lackluster to say the least. How do you feel about the changes to immolate, how about KJC? Personally, it rocked my world.

Also as Atar mentioned you know some people in Downfall? Again how are you tracking your dots/proc's? Im curious as to your opinions on the level 100 talent, what do you use and why/when?

I actually don't see that much of a difference with immolate but obvioiusly KJC killed warlock's mobility, I use MF now just because of how bad KJC is now. As of the people I know in Downfall, I know Rekt, Arraben, and Seferes, I've know Rekt and Seferes since high school. I am currently using DoTimer and tidyPlates to track all of my trackables.

As of right now I am using Demonic Servitude as my level 100 talent. Out of the three, I feel like I get the biggest DPS boost. I recently tried affliction and found that I would probably use Cataclysm or soulburn to help with the AoE but with destro there is no problems with AoE.

I've played a little warlock myself at the end of MoP and had a blast with it. While reading your app I could imagine me doing the same thing watching my backdraft stacks while I spammed incinerate praying my trinkets would proc by the time I got down to two backdrafts so I could throw out some chaos bolts. Anyways...!!!

Who are some of your friends in Downfall?

As far as raiding goes tell me what you bring to the table? What would make me bring you to raid over another warlock? Do you use anything to track your trinkets, procs, skull banner, immolate, backdraft, etc?

I'm always looking for exceptional dps for my raids and am really interested in your app. Please feel free to contact me anytime to chat or talk warlock stuff.

Hey sorry for the confusion with the application on certain information, I am friends with Rekt, Arraben, and Seferes and have been friends with Sef and Rekt since high school.

I think that I bring a sense of trust and reliability to the table when it comes to raiding. I take pride in ensuring that I leave a good taste in someone's mouth when they think of me and that comes from a couple of things. First most, I am very reliable, 99/100 times I will never be late for a raid or event. I will probably be at the entrance 10-15 minutes early and I'm usually the one that starts the summons lol. Like I said in my application, I am very observant. I don't remember the last time I was at fault for wiping the raid, not saying I'm perfect or anything just that I try my best to make sure I'm not the one getting yelled at for messing up. I use a combination of DoTimer and TidyPlate to track all of my trackables.

I hope this clears up some of the confusion.

Hey! sorry for the delayed welcome to the app process. I will look to find you online and let you know were all back to firing on all cylinders now (everyone was nose to the grindstone to hit 100)

I'm going to get a couple of locks over to ask you what they can. But since I'm a big fan of people's UIs I'd like to ask you a couple of questions about it.

Z-Perl? Has it been that long since I used X-Perl? was there a Y-Perl?

But seriously, why do you have everything still at default scaling? You could scale your bars down (in the default interface) and fit your chat and recount in the bottom corners and really free up your central screen. If you really wanted to make room too you could install Bartender (or maybe there's a stand alone addon for this) to remove the gryphons and have better control of your bars and again more space. Have you ever considered anything like that? Or is that too much modification for ya?

Since you're majoring in Marketing I'd love to get your input on how we market ourselves in this app. If there's some ways we can re-phrase or rebrand ourselves to make the process more appealing.

Ya Z-perl was that latest update when 6.0.2 hit and before that I dont think there was a Y-Perl, I use Perl because I have used it since I can remember and it's what im used to. I have the default scaling because I'm a visual person, I like to be able to see everything and make sure everything is where it is suppose to be. I dont mind the size, I've learned to work around it whether it's by zooming out or turning my camera but it doesn't affect my ability to see. I appologize for my UI screenshot, I totally forgot about my recount. I do in fact have it on the bottom right area I just have a macro that I click to show it and I only have it up when I'm in a group or when I'm tuning my spec. I tried Bartender and it just isn't for me, I think it's just the aesthetics of it.

As for marketing and this application, I have to say it's one of the better ones I've seen. Not saying I've applied to a lot of guilds but over the course of 7+ years I've seen my fair share. It shows that in your application, you really want to know whether PvP or PvE reins supreme in the applicant's eyes. Not that this is a bad thing it's just different for a guild to want to know at this stage of the relationship, obviously you need to know but usually at a much smaller dig. I did enjoy the last question about outside of WoW. I feel this is an important question that is often overlooked. So much is cared about the character in the game that we sometimes forget there are people behind them.
