Probably Greyhound then. Amtrak costs 3x the amount, and counter-intuitively it looks like their trains take an hour longer than their bus. Though they do leave earlier in the morning than Greyhound.

Saedo, have you looked at the Bolt Bus? Barring a ride from a friend, I think it's the cheapest way to travel up and down I-5. BC to Portland is $27 in April (furthest booking I can see). Seattle to Portland is $10-$12. That's cheaper than it would cost me in gas to drive it. I'll post the link on FB too

I've looked into them too. With the last Friday in April I see, prices go up to $31, which is slightly higher than Greyhound for $29 (with early booking discount). Bolt Bus seems to fluctuate per day per bus, while Greyhound is a steady price but still pretty much on par with each other (with discount).

So I'm thinking my options now are:

1. Katzeus offered a ride, though he's working out details on which day they're going down.

2. Bus to Seattle for $15, and maybe hitch a ride from someone.

3. Bus all the way down for $29

haha I turn 21 on July 20th! My best friend is coincidentally moving to Portland this summer so I really want to make it a goal to visit him. In other words, I'm almost 90 percent positive I'll be there :P

Though I'm not signing up yet until I know for certain.
